"Not for a bit. Like you said, I'm a little, eh, depleted let's say." He winked at the kids, trying to earn some good will. "Mind if I tag along with your crew for a bit? I may be exhausted, but I promise I'm not a sleeper agent or anything."
Wink.

Trying to escort around a group of kids was already a tall order. Adding some unknown like this bony stranger into the mix was just asking for trouble. On the other hand, Snake couldn't just leave him here.
He shifted his weight and crossed his arms over his chest. God, those puns were terrible, though. "Depends. Can you keep quiet?"

Sans takes a beat.
"--Yeah, it is. And yeah, I can be. I might even be able to help you out, once I get my wind back. I'm a little out of shape on the whole helpin' out thing."
no subject
"That depends on whether or not I actually want your help," Snake points out. He would really rather do this on his own, but it looks like he has no choice but to take the guy along. It's better to keep someone he doesn't trust where he can see him.
"What are you called, and why do you look the way you do?" They should get those two big questions out of the way before they go anywhere.

Then again, he'd faced tougher.
"Sans. The skeleton." He shrugs, looking up at the considerably taller man. "That should cover both your questions. Yourself?"
no subject
He looks away from Sans for a few seconds, just long enough to explain to the leftover kids that they'll be making an escape and that they need to follow him closely and listen to whatever he says. Once everyone's on the same page, he starts down the hall.
After Snake's established that the coast is clear, he glances over at Sans. "So, how's that work? Where I'm from, skeletons usually can't do much unless they've got muscles and skin to support them." And organs, but details.
