Entertaining People
"Here; you look like you could use a break yourself." She offers a bottle of water, extra ones tucked away for the crew members she runs across. "I'm Pepper Potts; it's nice to meet you."
no subject
She smiles at Pepper and accepts the bottle of water. Talking for such a long time really has made her feel a little parched.
"Thanks. Trish Walker, nice to meet you too.
no subject
"Are you new to the ship?" Not that Pepper herself is a veteran, but just in case; Trish has a pretty wicked looking black eye. "I could show you around a bit if you need. We've got a very good medbay you might be interested in."
no subject
"I got a tour when I first arrived, and I was in the medbay only a little while ago actually. You should have seen me before that. Bruce is gonna give me disapproving looks for being up already for sure."
It doesn't look like she minds the thought of that particularly mutch at all, and she really doesn't. Bruce's disapproval tends to be a fairly mild affair, in her experience. Besides, he's kind of entertaining when he's exhasperated.
no subject
"Oh, you know Bruce Banner?" Shame on him then, for not mentioning his attractive blonde friend. Then again, considering the chaos they've all been muddling through, Pepper might be able to forgive him for it. Regardless the connection earns a grin. "If you met him before you were brought here, it's likely we're from the same world."
As soon as the words are out of her mouth, Pepper shakes her head with a laugh. "A month in, and that still feels really weird to say."
no subject
Trish pulls a face as well.
"And yeah, that does feel weird to say."
no subject
"Sad to say, from what I've heard it doesn't go away any time soon. That sense of strangeness. But it makes sense that it wouldn't. I mean, it was crazy enough when aliens came to Earth. This goes beyond that."
no subject
She's collecting disapproving looks from the Avengers.
She sighs and takes a long drink from her water bottle before nodding a little.
"And yeah, the world is a lot stranger than most people were aware of just a few years ago."
She's been aware of super powers since she was a teenager, but it's still quite a leap from that to 'aliens invading through a hole in the sky', not to mention to 'you are going to be pulled through an interdimensional portal to another universe and become part of the crew of a space ship'.
no subject
The jerk.
"Oh, no kidding. I didn't even need the aliens to show up. Ever since Tony came out to the world as 'Iron Man,' it's just been non-stop." Not just on the superhero front, but on the running a superhero's company end, and the dating a superhero side as well. There's a lot about her life she loves--particularly the man that features so prominently in it--but it'd be nice to have a few more days filled with less intensity, thanks.

Trish is a politically minded idealist, of course she knows who runs the biggest name in clean energy. Not to mention the fact that she tends to keep track of prominent women so that she can drag them into her radio studio and show the world how badass they are.
"Let me just say that I'm a big fan."
no subject
"Thank you. It's always nice to hear." Especially since Tony's role as Iron Man has drawn more ire as of late; he does everything he can, but his self-appointed task of saving the world means people tend to blame him and those he holds dear when something goes wrong. "Although there's not exactly much I can do to run it from here; on the Moira, I'm the one saddled with the job of Chief Morale Officer.
"What about you?" Since all of them have an assignment, it's safe to assume Trish has gotten a title of her own.
no subject
"I'm a talk show host on the radio."
Which doesn't have the same impressive ring to it as CEO, but Trish too is proud of her work.
no subject
"Oh? What do you focus on?" News of the day, politics, current issues, local issues; Pepper's listened to a few talk shows. It's something of a necessity in her work to keep up with the media, although she can't recall hearing Trish's. Still, it's something to be proud of for sure. Radio has been an enduring medium, particularly as technology progresses. Trish isn't a CEO, but she's a voice and an influence, and that could be more powerful in the right circumstances.
no subject
One that Trish sometimes tries to steer in more opinionated and political directions, but it is somewhat of an uphill struggle against her production team, who doesn't have nearly as much faith in the attention span of her listeners as she does.
"I've actually been tasked with creating a radio show here too."
no subject
"Any ideas for what the Moira version might feature? I can't imagine it will be easy to put together." Honestly, even Pepper's a little hard pressed to think of what a good radio show might feature here in outer space.
no subject
It'll be easier to come up with ideas once she has a feeling for what sort of audience she'll have.
no subject
"You're probably going to get a pretty diverse set of answers."
no subject
And it means she'll have a wider range of topics to explore which will be a good way to battle boredom and cabin fever.
no subject
"Anyway, I should probably get back to handing out this stuff." She shifts the box on her hip, readying herself to carry it again. "But it was nice meeting you. I'll make sure to listen for your radio show."
no subject
More so than she knows just yet, since she and Pepper will in fact be roomies for a while.
