[She appreciates that he at least seemed to be ready to take on this mess. Because it needs to be dealt with. For the past few weeks, it's been mostly her. This is how it was in Defiance, too, but a lady likes to take a break and step out.]
[This is a lie. She's a workaholic.]
It's been alternating between four and five that I've seen. Some coming and going.
What do you heal with, I need to know that first? Magic, equipment, what?

Her question shakes him out of his thoughts and he brightens just a tiny bit. He can answer this. If she's familiar with paladins and/or shaman, then maybe they can formulate a plan for him. Having an ally suddenly makes things less terrifying.]
Magic, ma'am. Nature, and holy. I'm still learning, but – I learn quickly. [Not as a brag, but more as reassurance that he'll be useful. He'll do his best.]

We have scanners that will let us see exactly where injuries are and what they are. You should probably learn to use those first.
[She motions over to where they are.]
Come on, big boy. Lets finish getting you set up.

My name is Med'an. [He'd better, you know, learn his new colleague's names and all. Vaguely he wonders if she's human or not – she doesn't quite look it, but she's certainly not any other race he knows of.]
no subject
Okay, come over here, there's a person with a broken leg.
[She wriggles her finger to get him to follow her, and strides over to a table where a woman is stretched out, face cringing under the pain of the leg that's only been set so far.]
[She reaches around him.] Okay, watch what to do. [She pushes a few commands, a menu screen, a scanning option, scrolls through the different types of scans, and shows the bone and it's break.]
no subject
Button pushing aside – he does understand the scan that's on the screen right now. It's a pretty good break, but not an unusual one, and there doesn't look like much risk of infection. He moves the scanner back and forth a little, watching it reveal more bone, and nods slowly.]
...I can fix it. It shouldn't be hard. [He glances back up at Doc Yewll, waiting for her okay.]
no subject
[She nods down to the patient on the table, and looks back up at him expectantly.]
no subject
With one more glance at their patient - a hopefully empathetic one - he takes a deep breath and calls on the Light. It flows through him immediately, as natural as breathing, and when he places his hands just above the injury, they glow a soft gold. A few moments, and the leg is healed, with barely any indication that it was broken in the first place.
Med'an moves his hands away slowly and picks up the scanner again, though he doesn't know what else to do with it.]
Um. It might be a little tender, still, but it should be fine now. [A glance at Doc Yewll again.]
no subject
[She has a lot to make up for.]
[But the display makes her nod.] Good moves, Sport. Saves on healing equipment. Think you got this?
[She thumps him on the shoulder.]
no subject
He nods, glancing over to check on their patient just in case there was anything else wrong with her, and then around the room for someone to help next. There's a few he can go to, but a stray thought makes him pause and become somber again.]
...That announcement about the Komai. Do you think we're going to get busy?
[Do you think there's going to be trouble?]
no subject
[At least the injuries are less bad this time, but now there's a few more bullet holes.]
Have you found the medigel yet?
