[SEMI-OPEN] So I heard someone was sick

Who: Tifa Lockhart, Darin + the rest of the Lion house
When: During event stuff
Where: The Lion House.
What: Tifa just heard that Darin is sick! And now she's worried sick! What if he contaminates the whole house and hurts his roommates? Only one way to find out.
Warnings: Things are going to be silly. Very very silly

'Darin'

Tifa has been pretty much staying out of it what was going on. She finally found herself a job and didn't want to fool around for her first month! And since she was doing so well, why not bring it up with her new friend? Not to mention bringing a meal to Shiro. After their time shopping together, she was really afraid of what his diet consisted of.

'It must be soooo boring. I can't wait for him to try this!'

And Darin trying her meals. She cooked so much in her quaint apartment. She hopes he's not too sick to like it.

So here she goes. After texting Darin that she was coming over with a ~stunning~ surprise, Tifa rings the bell and waits for the warm welcome.

[He was exhausted.]

[Not because he had gotten horribly sick. That definitely weakened him. It was what had happened after he had gone through the mandatory decontamination process that had left him so withdrawn and tired. The process had left his skin tinged a sickly yellow, a telltale mark that he had been infected on that asteroid. Everywhere he went he was given repulsed looks or flat out refused entry.]

[It was like things were back home all over again. When he wasn't outright being stared at for his blue hair, he was often made fun of. This led to plenty of fights back home and the same held true here.]

[To prevent anymore issues, Darin had taken to wearing a long cloak and hood about his frame. It was tattered and dark, but it hid his hair and could easily be pulled up to hide his face save for his eyes. It was in this very cloak that he came to the door when he heard the bell.]

Ah...Tifa. I got your text. You didn't have to come by. I'm doing a bit better.

[She peers at the cloaked figure and raises an eyebrow.]

Uhh...Darin? Is that you?

[It couldn't be! He was supposed to be vibrant and really stand out...wouldn't he?]

My God, did you get even worse while I walking over from my place?

It's uh...well, I didn't get worse? I just look a little...

[She walks in, letting the door close behind her. She's still examining Darin.]

This home is your sanctuary though. You should feel safe in it, even if you look awful.

NOT THAT YOU DO! I mean you kinda do! Just I mean...well- [She's gonna not talk anymore and just look at him closer.] Can I even touch you? Are you contagious?

I promise!

[He laughs and pulls cloak away from his face with a grin. He's a pretty bright shade of yellow, which is in stark contrast to his blue bangs.]

See? Im just yellow!

[You know, when you're already pale as paper, turning yellow is... sort of painfully obvious. All the more reason to pull on a hoodie several sizes too large -- even if it somehow says DAD TO THE BONE on the front. He's not sure how that happened.]

[He's not feeling completely great, but hey. Someone's at the door, so he'll haul himself down to answer, regardless. Leaders gotta lead.]

[Why is everybody she's running into wearing hooded items? Even at home? Is it because they are sick?

...or maybe some fad is going on and she's not hip enough to follow? She really needs to catch up. Especially since it has a really funny label on it.]

[He blinks, and actually looks down at the hoodie. Fashionable? He'd just grabbed it out of the laundry.]

I... don't really think that's necessary. Shopping, I mean.

Oh noooo! There's no way we're doing that. Our previous outing was enough for me.

In fact~ [She pulls up a stuffed covered bag to her face, showing it off to him.] I brought something nice so you don't have to worry about going out!

I'm also... really not going out unless I have to.

[For a lot of reasons. Like still feeling ill. As he pulls his head back slightly from the bag suddenly appearing in his general face vicinity.]

Great! Can I come inside then? We can go in the kitchen and set up what I have for you.

[Allura doesn't like having the house divided this way. They're all like one big family, aren't they? They should be helping each other, not staying as far away from each other as possible.]

[But at the same time, one really can't be too careful. And since she never thought to ask for a decontamination chamber like the one on the Castle Ship -- a nice one, which actually helps your complexion -- the only way to be safe is to avoid contact as much as possible.]

[Which is much easier said than done, short of getting a space motel for the month. That costs money and is a bad friend thing to do.]

[Speaking of bad friend things -- Allura, princess of healthy social habits, watches from the upper floor of the house instead of politely inviting herself into the conversation.]

Why is he dressed like that witch of Zarkon's?

[It's fine to make comments like that. He probably won't hear her. Probably.]

[After she's had her fill of people watching, she stands up. Directed at her mice, or any of the healthy people in earshot:] I'm going to head down. Just long enough to meet the guest. That should be fine, shouldn't it?

[It should, not to mention being a nice big relief to Tifa. She already knows that Shiro and Darin are feeling under the weather. She's really hoping that the sickness hasn't spread throughout their home.

And if not, then she will have plenty to talk about with them on nice recipes and habits they could keep to keep from getting that sickness or...whatever they both had. She still wasn't sure what was going on.

She then hears a lovely voice and directs her vision to see what that was. Hopefully someone who also is feeling as fine and healthy as her!]

[Best not to figure out what it happens to non-humans, anyway. If they turned yellow, what color would a chameleon race turn?]

[Speaking of, she doesn't know that their visitor is necessarily healthy yet. Not that she looks sick, but... she slows her descent to the ground floor as she sees Tifa, trying to use politeness to mask how carefully she's examining the guest.]

Did you come here just to see Darin? [And she gives a reassuring smile.] Because I'm sure he appreciates that. He and Shiro both have been having a rough month, to say the least.

[Tifa turns to see a beautiful woman stare at her from the staircase. Wow, her hair looks lovely. And her eyes!

Ok, she can't stare like this. She gives off a polite smile and a small bow.]

Ah, hello! Nice to meet you. I'm Tifa. [And with that said, she offers her hand.] And yes, I am visiting a couple of sick friends here. Are Shiro and Darin showing slight improvements?

[Honestly, Allura is growing used to people staring. Especially Lance, but that's a different problem entirely.]

[She's briefly perplexed by the hand, but -- no, she knows this human gesture! She takes it softly. A little too softly, like she's being cautious about gripping it tightly.]

It's a pleasure to meet you as well. I'm Princess Allura. [And then, with some uncertainty,] I hope Darin hasn't told you too much about me. He has certain ideas.

Anyway, it's hard to say. I want to believe so, but that may just be wishful thinking. And to be honest, it's hard for me to tell what 'better' is.

I see. At least they're being looked after. It's better than just being ignored. You don't seem like the type to abandon their friends.

[ Lance opens the door, not sure if one of his housemates was expecting someone. It seemed unlikely, with several of them being basically in quarantine, but either way, he didn't want to leave someone waiting at the door. ]
