What: Doctoring | Apple picking | Soup stirring

A - Kauto 1 Hospital
[ As one of the newbies to the rotation Adrien had been shuffled to the graveyard shift for the ER.
Joke was on his colleagues however, because that was the shift he preferred. As such, Adrien cheerfully collected all the graveyard shifts there were on offer, carving himself out a steady routine of fifteen hours on, fifteen off. It also meant that he was on call for any ER visits that came in during the late 'witching' hours when who knew what was going on around the twin planets.
Chances were good that anyone who came in for treatment would end up being seen by Adrien and anyone who was on shift might come across his scavenging coffee in the hospital break room. ]
B - Kauto 2 Private Clinic
[ On the days when Adrien was not at the hospital in Region One, he could be found on his property out at Region Two. This included his private clinic, which was annexed as part of the farm house he leased on the apple orchard.
While not as fully equipped as the hospital, Adrien had finally gotten the last of the pacdiscs from the Moira days unpacked and had everything set up. From the outside it looked quiet rustic, but stepping into the clinic would be like stepping back into the MedBay from the Moira; only a bit smaller.
Still, for those individuals who were either trying to avoid the official eye or had just finished some activities that didn't need official scrutiny, the clinic was open for business. ]
C - Kauto 2 The House
[ Though Adrien was used to being sought out for medicinal needs, there may be the odd period when someone made a social call?
...
It could happen!
If the doctor was at home and not out in the orchard tending to trees, he was most readily found in the kitchen, working on soups. It was almost impossible to explain but for whatever reason he'd found a bit of a calling when it came to making soup and was actually finding the preparation of bases and broths to be relaxing.
It was kinda like mixing poisons; only without the whole killing part.
Actually if the smells coming from the kitchen were anything to go by the soup experiments were coming out quite well. As a rule, Adrien left his doors open to whomever wanted to wander in. Of course anyone who tried to wander in with nefarious intention was going to find themselves face to face with a much larger, less cordial Courser. So just ... be careful with that. ]
D - Kauto 2 The Orchard
[ So far he hadn't killed any trees.
Adrien was taking this as a win.
He was also spending quite a bit of time cycling through various harvesting periods as he worked to deliver half of the orchard's production back to the natives; per his lease agreement. If he wasn't working on a soup, he was most likely found out in the orchard, harvesting apples and working up a tidy sweat.
Someone with good timing might catch Adrien and Courser playing one of their new favorite games; apple flambe. This entailed Adrien pitching rotten or wormy apples high up in the air for Courser to blast with his new found fireburping breathing skills.
Might want to approach with a bit of care; the bahari was still working on the finer points of his control. ]
E - Wildcard
[ Got something that doesn't fit into these categories? By all means, feel free to PM me, hit me up on plurk or just toss it in here and we'll see where it goes! ]

B (after the March player plot)
The thing is that all the tournament proved was that she is not. Not at all.
The fact that she barely won her first bout has frustrated and upset her, and there's no one she trusts to examine her and tell her how to fix this like Adrien. He's not just a doctor; he's a soldier, and he understands the motivations she feels in wanting to be ready for anything. And he understands her situation, being an AI that has been placed in a human body, which is something she doesn't really want getting around to anyone new. So the day after the fight, she makes her way to the clinic. She needs some reassurance she's on the right track with her rehabilitation, and some strategies to make a complete recovery a reality.
When she's called back, she enters the exam room and sets her motorcycle helmet down on the cot, casting a quick glance around. ]
Nice place.

More like Adrien shoved the door open and inquired if she was going to sit out there all day watching the apples grow. The clinic was small and most of the time consisted of just Adrien, though he was still working on possibilities with some of the other doctors.
As he walked towards the back of the small room, he listened to her and gave a small grunt over his shoulder. Turning around to lean on a counter, he scanned the space with his eyes. ]
It will do. [ He pronounced, before looking back to Tex's face. ] So ... what brings you by?
lol
I probably just need you to yell at me about how I'm expecting too much or pushing too hard or something.
[ The truth is she's truly concerned that she's not recovering quite quickly enough, that she's set herself back somehow, because she has a history of doing that. She's come here because he saw her condition after the coma, because he knows her history. A doctor at a random clinic wouldn't have the intimate knowledge of the details like that.
So she goes on to explain: ]
I was in the tournament yesterday. It could have gone either way—I watched my opponent fight and thought I'd be able to beat him easily, but I couldn't. I mean, I beat him. But not easily.

Which is what attracted him to a particular orchard.
Apples would be a nice flavoring for some of his teas, so he decides to ask about buying a few on a regular basis. Some for the shop, and maybe a couple for Bart. As he approaches, he spots a quick, sudden flame as it torches a rotten apple. Not something he expects to see in an orchard. He decides to investigate, only to have a near-miss with a fireball.
His training comes in handy as he simply teleports above it, letting it pass harmlessly beneath him. Soon he sees the culprit: a juvenile bahari and his companion.]
Did I come at a bad time?

Adrien caught sight of Venom out of the corner of his eye, and stopped his arm in the act of reeling back to toss another apple at the air. Courser also spied the man and he moved to sit, colorful barbed tail folding neatly over his paws. His expression had changed a bit as well, more aloof now than he had been when he was younger. ]
Not unless you're an apple. [ Adrien remarked, tossing the wormy apple into the air and deftly catching it back down. ] Can I help you, Venom?
[ He's going to figure the man meant to come up this way, as the driveway was a bit long. ]

[He goes into professional mode despite it not being necessary, with his stance becoming more rigid and hands behind his back. Though now part of him wants to approach Courser to see if the creature would be willing to let the former assassin pet him.]
I'd like to buy some apples, please.

Then what he's actually looking at registers, and he's confused all over again.
He stays a good ten meters away, as long as Courser insists on breathing fire.]
Er, hello. I'm here to look at trees?
[Nailed it.]

burpspat of fire towards, when he heard a voice from a safe distance away. Turning about quickly, he heard Courser land lightly on his feet and felt the bahari come up beside him as the tracker watched the stranger with assessing, alien eyes.Trees, look at tre... OH!
Reaching up, he brushed his palm across Courser's shoulder, a gesture that saw the bahari immediately adopt a prim seat, barbed tail folded over his paws. Adrien himself began to walk towards Lavellan, brushing his hand off on his trousers.
Rotten apple ... ew. ]
You're the gentleman I spoke with about caring for the trees.
[ Had they exchanged names? With Adrien it was always hit or miss about actual names coming into a conversation. ]

[Really, there was a simpler way of doing it. Dr. Arbuckal hadn't made a secret of his location in his video feeds. But it'd been a hell of a long time since Varric had done any snooping, and by the Maker, he missed it. If he closed his eyes and imagined the smell of rotting shit, he might have felt like he was back home.]
[How he managed it didn't really matter, in the end. The point was that inevitably wound up approaching the farm, only to be slightly (read: incredibly) startled by a... dog? thing shooting fire from its maw.]
Most people just stick with dogs there, Giggles.
no subject
Regardless.
Hearing the familiar voice, Adrien turned quickly, pausing in the act of pulling his arm back to toss another apple. Courser looked bemused when his target didn't leave his companion's hand but when he realized they had company, the bahari sat back on his haunches, barbed tail swiping lightly across the ground.
Damn it. Play time was over. ]
I never was much of a dog person. [ He responded, letting the apple drop to the ground as he began to walk towards Varric. ] Haven't seen you in a while, how's the 'divorce' treating you?
no subject
[The question brought a beaming grin to Varric's lips. He gestured to the crossbow on his back, now secured by her usual strap, as opposed to the flesh on his back. Reaching back, he pulled the bow free, and held it aloft for his companion to see.]
Reconciled, under the agreement that we give each other peace. [He returned Bianca to his back, laughing as he did.] Guess I owe that much do you, huh doc?
[Once more, his gaze returned to the animal. It certainly wasn't the kind of animal they had back home. Not only would he have remembered it, but he doubted Hawke would have gone more than five seconds without having one for herself.]
So, what the hell is he, anyway? [He gestured to the creature with a nervous smile.]

D for apple picking!! (a little after player plot)
He's raising a hand to cover a yawn just as Courser is setting an apple ablaze, iridescent eyes widening in awe at the sight. He'd been hoping to see the creature in person and he's glad that he came when he did or else he might have missed the little 'game' the two of them seem to have going on. Maybe it's also a good thing he decided to walk the rest of the way, instead of teleporting and ending up possibly caught on fire.
The blue boy waits until he figures it's safe, then approaches the tree that Adrien is at, arms tucking loosely across his chest and a smile spreading across his face.]
Hallo, Adrien.
no subject
Courser is actually more relaxed, slowly taking a seat and setting his barbed tail carefully atop his primly placed paws. The doctor, on the other hand, whipped around at a speed that suggested his reflexes were about five steps ahead of his actual conscious recognition.
Even once his eyes settled on Kurt, there was a tension that ran through Adrien's body that expressed itself in the set of his shoulders and spine. ]
Hello, Kurt. [ He didn't smile, he never smiled, but his voice was level and about as welcoming as it ever got. If he had expected the younger man earlier, he made no mention of the later hour. ] No trouble finding the place?
no subject
He's tempted to ask if he'd come at a bad time, but the doctor greets him and the mutant relaxes, letting his gaze flick to Courser, whom seems to be rather well-trained, if the way he's sitting so properly is an indication. He smiles and returns his attention to Adrien, head bowing in greeting now.]
Not at all. Your directions were clear - precise as ever, I'm sure.
[It's fine that the other man doesn't smile because Kurt's is vibrant enough for both of them, his excitement to start aiding with apple picking and learning medical abilities quite obvious. He advances slowly toward Courser, crouching down and hesitantly offering his hand out to the bahari before withdrawing again and looking back to Adrien.]
Ah, is it okay if I ...?

For Alva
Adrien had invested in a generator but he had it hooked up primarily to run the clinic if necessary. Otherwise, he just adapted to the darkness, utilizing the big fireplaces and lanterns around the house. It gave the atmosphere a soft, amber glow that seemed to lend a serenity to life that might be missing during the daylight hours, or when under the bright starkness of artificial light.
Alva had been over to walk through the clinic and get a sense of where everything was, should he ever be covering when Adrien was away or simply decided he needed it for his own use. Most of what Adrien had set up was equipment from the Moira so it was all familiar to the taller man, yet they had taken their time walking through the clinic, and Adrien may have shown off his orchard a little bit.
Courser, having returned from his absence a few weeks ago, had sniffed Alva and attempted to adopt a prim and reserved attitude, before giving up on the attempt and soliciting ear rubs. The bahari was off now, out on the property keep the perimeter secure and also taking down more than his fair share of wild game that might be available.
Though the power was out, Adrien had a hot pot of soup on the slowly cooling stove, which he had offered a bowl of to Alva. Vegetarian, something with lentils, vegetables and spices it seemed to go well with a white wine, which Adrien had also offered. The smaller doctor did not partake of the wine but if they were eating soup ... they were eating soup and some crusty, fresh made bread.
"I told them it was a dumb idea to steal the cadaver but no one was interested in listen to me, so I rubbed it in when they all got busted later that day. Turns out, this is such a regular prank, the school had taken to putting tracking devices in the bodies."
Yep. Believe it or not, without the lubricating effects of the wine eve, Adrien was telling a dry, but amusing story from his time in medical school.
( a ~ very end of the month )
The hospital. It was a good place to start, and even though it wasn't exactly a tourist attraction it was something to focus on -- something that Claire had an idea of what to expect.
The Ingress Complex wasn't busy, and even though that was nice (it was comfortable) she wasn't living. Normally that would be fine -- when was the last time Claire could say that she'd had a life? But this was different. Finding out the truth, being given a push and then a pull to here... she needed that life, and part of her even wanted it.
A life still meant work, and even though she had a job at the Ingress Complex knowing about the hospital here had been an excu- a reason to come to the planet, and it would be one she'd use again.
It doesn't take Claire too long to navigate around the hospital, following the signs until it takes her into a less crowded area, slipping into what she discovers is the break room. There's a few seconds where Claire simply lingers in the doorway, not exactly sure what to say now that she's here. Looking around a hospital was one thing but-- )
Excuse me?
( She has to at least have his attention first )

Dressed in scrubs and a lab coat he was dutifully wearing his badges, which might have signaled the suggestion that he was a good candidate for answering questions. Adrien was never a good candidate for answering questions and though he heard her words, he didn't look towards the door.
Instead, he bent at the waist and began to rummage in the small fridge for the creamer. ]
Nurses' station is two halls down, to the left. They love questions.
[ No they didn't. They were busy people and if/when they learned he was shooing strangers their way, he'd be getting a bit of punishment. Not a horrific amount, because at the end of the day Adrien was actually pretty good about treating his nurses like the exceptional individuals they were, but it wouldn't save him from paperwork.

[Angel had watched the lights go down in Thisavrou, watched night take the dual systems. One by one, the locals had settled in, including her own roommates. Still the night stretched on, until Angel's room was one of the few lit up in the area. Perhaps on any normal night, this would have been just fine.]
[But this was becoming an altogether too familiar routine. For three nights, sleep had evaded Angel. Whether it was another after-effect of the eridium and consequent withdrawals, or perhaps a mental block, she wasn't sure. The night prior, she had resolved herself to visiting the medical facility and checking in with Dr. Ziegler. And with the Siren showing no signs of relaxing or drifting off.]
[Shaking free of her blankets, Angel quickly dressed herself and made her way to the living room proper. A note was left there, explaining that she was okay and simply went to Region 1. Her condition didn't seem to be too life-threatening, and so she was sparse on the details.]
[The trek out of the forested region was an arduous one, but something that Angel was steadily growing used to. From there the EN-Line took her right to where she needed to be, and this time there was no hesitation when she entered the facility.]
Excuse me? [She spoke quickly to the nearest figure.] I was hoping you might be able to point me to Dr. Ziegler.

Had that walnut just ... moved? ]
Dr. Ziegler isn't on staff tonight. If you wish to speak with her I suggest reaching out to her directly and finding out if she's up at the Ingress Complex or on Chioni.

[After the warm treatment from Angela, this was a bit of a slap in the face. She thought about turning about, taking Adrien's advice and calling the woman, but the hours were drawing on, and she couldn't bear another night without sleep.]
Maybe you could help me then? It... isn't an emergency, so I do not occupy a bed or your time if you're needed elsewhere.
