"Let them in, and take them out."
|
Pharah
[It's disheartening - though unsurprising - to find things as desolate as they are. Fareeha takes this time to collect what notes and technological materials as she can. The information about the Ingress she can only imagine will be helpful, and the tech she hopes someone might find useful in upgrading her armor.]
[She can only hope others are having better luck.]
Have you found anything of note?
Floor Two
[This is the obvious moment Fareeha dons her armor - and sacrifices one of her cleaner shirts to tear a bit off to tie over her nose and mouth to offense of the smell.]
[But more than that, she feels a need to dig deeper - that turning away would be to the discredit of those who fell here. She had to find out what happened. She investigates what she can, and you might catch her pulling bodies into more peaceful repose, if she can.]
[Still, it's a lot to take in, and she'll be shaken by it.]
So much loss ...
Floor Three
[It's encouraging to find some recent signs of habitation, but after searching and then listening to the logs, It feels like they've come to another dead end. She's growing frustrated, and the insight from the audio isn't helping.]
Floor Four
[By now she's pretty wound up, but she's not interested in fighting if there's a discussion to be had.]
[She will be bristly, though. Tread lightly.]
{ floor one }
Not really. Though I've been looking at the tech more than the notes. What sort of things do they say?
[ ooc: is it all right for me to assume Mei knows Fareeha a little from the former's time in Overwatch? ]
no subject
[She's no engineer, but Mei might have better luck. Fareeha hands over a small stack of charred remains.]
[ooc: That, and the intro log thread?]
no subject
Not really, Then again, it's not my area of study.
[ If it was more about robotics, she have at least a passing understanding of it, since that's a hobby, but it sounds like the Ingress is alive in some way ]
We can turn it over to someone else who knows more. Weren't there people on the ship who understand how the Ingress works?
[ ooc: you mean the TDM thread? If so, then totally. :3 ]
no subject
[She settles back from poking through the rest of the things in the room and looks at Mei.]
Have you been settling in alright? I know it's been a lot of turmoil to come into, but it's a good crew - for the most part.
no subject
[ She settles down across from her, sitting on her knees. ]
I think so. People have been friendly and helpful. And now that my legs feel better, I can help too! Though I'm hoping to be of more use when we reach... well, wherever it is we're going next. Hopefully someplace we can settle while we figure out how to get back home.
no subject
[Stranded on a planet in the outer reaches of space. Not a scenario she would have envisioned herself in, a few months ago. She waves the papers in her hand.] If we can figure this out, with what we have on hand here? We might have a chance, but I don't know how likely that is.
no subject
[ Mei is just going to be the optimistic voice you need. ]
It's not what we thought, but it doesn't have to be bad, right?
no subject
[That's good, Mei! She needs that in her life!]
[She sighs at the idea of doesn't have to be bad, though. Mei hasn't been here long enough to see some of the true horrors they'd had to travel through.]
No, I guess it doesn't have to be. The likelihood that it is, though? [She shurgs; no point in sugar coating things for Mei.] It could get pretty intense, up on the ship.
no subject
[ Just to give Pharah a benchmark for how much weirdness she's heard about so far. ]
You all must be used to enduring so much. It's really inspiring.
no subject
I wish it didn't have to be so. For once it would be nice to get everyone together without having to worry about a crisis.
no subject
[ She knows how it looks right now with the mess of tech and paperwork around them, but like she said: there has to be someone here who can make sense of it all. ]
And if it isn't, then we have experience dealing with crises, right?

floor one
A paper, one of thousands, is in his hand and he is trying to read it when he finds his attention cut by the simple question from someone near by. And naturally, his one blue eye turns over to look at the woman.
Was she talking to him? He stood there not saying anything for a moment in case she wasn't, looking around a little for anyone else she might have been talking to. No else seems to have heard her though, so then he points to himself.]
You mean me?
[This is probably an misunderstanding, right?]
Re: floor one
Yes, you.
no subject
The only thing that's weird is why all these files are scattered around. It's like somebody purposely threw them everywhere.
[And considering the place was obviously abandoned (at least with with what they've seen on the first level), it's odd the files were left behind all over like this.]
no subject
Whoever they were, they were clearly concerned with anyone finding out what was going on here.
no subject
I mean, I feel something bad happened here too.
no subject
no subject
The people that could have attacked this place probably didn't want anyone alive.
no subject
no subject
Yeah, I know. I just kinda wish for once things were easier.
