[She herself is feeling proud of what everyone has been able to accomplish, taking a look over everything before turning to head out for the night. When Miller approaches her, she offers him a small smile and nods.]
The city, just a walk for fresh air and maybe something to eat. You are more than welcome to join me.

I've actually only seen most of the city through the materials I've been given. [The maps. The lists of safe businesses. The dangerous districts.] I think I'd like to actually get out into it. [He smooths some of his hair behind his ear before he goes over to join her.] Good work, by the way. What training did you receive?
[She was very impressive. He'd love to get her into the Training Sim Room for a real evaluation against the generated enemies. There was some A++ grade potential with a few of her statistics.]

I was a member of the Egyptian army, discharged with honors. Before that ... [It's complicated doesn't seem to cover it.] Let's just say a large part of my childhood revolved around similar minded people; I had a lot of training in personal defence and martial arts when I was young.
[And part of the reason she was so good had to do with how deeply ingrained those lessons had been - how much a part of her they were. Career military wouldn't have touched the surface; everything she is is focused into that training.]
I am just glad I am able to help. Admittedly, I have not seen much of the city either, but I don't think I would have been able to enjoy it knowing so many people suffered in its walls.

[He doubts it'll be anything easy for them to achieve. But he pulls up a list on his MID to show her.]
These are the places that never supported slavery, by the way, if you'd want to visit one of those. It might make the chance for a meal a little less uncomfortable. [And then he could ask the extent of her military experiences. He's a little concerned about the statement about her youth, but then again he's had thoroughly disheartening experiences with child soldiers and wanting something better for them.]

[She looks over the list Miller presents; she'd seen it before, and nods.]
Yes, I am all for any help we can give these establishments, let alone how much more palatable it will make the meal.
[He'll be happy to know she wasn't a child soldier; just a child of one who passed on her skills and teachings to an eager mind (much to her chagrin, later). It will make for interesting conversation if he can get it out of her).]

There is a place not too far from here. I don't know if you've been on the ship when we've reached habitable planets where restaurants are actually available but you end up with a hell of a variety. Usually there are enough human-similar species that we can mostly trust what we're given to eat. But uh... the menu sometimes comes as a surprise.
[He didn't envy vegetarians or people with food allergies when faced with alien cuisine. And he might have, at one point, eaten something that turned out to have been meat from a sentient being so he tries to be a little more careful about it now, himself.]
Have you ever helped in a revolution before? [It's a revolution now, he supposes. Before them, it was merely armchair progress as far as he was concerned. They've been given the elements of aggression now, for better or worse.]

[She takes a moment to formulate thoughts before answering his question. It's ... complicated. Not all Omnics were bad, and not all humans were good, but there was a second uprising and she was on the other side of it.] In a way, yes. There is one starting in my world, it's a repeat of an earlier contest; the Omnics against the humans. This time, though, it is not as cut and dry. I had an Omnic on my team when we were sent to contain the Anubis God Program. My world is something of a mess right now, I'm just trying to clean it up as best I can.

[The journey had been casual in the beginning, and while he appreciates efficiency and the idea of returning home as quickly as possible, he does wish that they could spend a little more time familiarizing themselves with stops. Send in teams to research the places so that they go in knowing more. He supposes he'll have to take what they can get.]
"Anubis God Program?" [He repeats after her, asking for elaboration and vaguely wondering how it might have contributed to the mess. She's got noble intentions, it seems. Better than his. More along the lines of David's, and the things he's heard him talk about in their future. Kaz wants to fix his own mess, but even determined as he is, he still worries he won't be able to.]

[Pharah nods, growing a little more somber.] God Programs are an AI sentience that were capable of hacking into advanced systems and even taking over area Omnics. My team was sent to deal with Anubis after it broke its restraints and a team of engineers failed to corral it. Anubis tried to take over the Omnic on my team, Okoro, who - instead of allowing it to happen - warned us, and shot himself in the head. [She gives a moment over to silent reflection; Okoro had been just as important as anyone else on the team, as Captain Khalil, as Tariq, and his loss didn't hurt any less because he wasn't human.]
Not all Omnics are malevolent, and not all humans are tolerant and forgiving. There's a lot of strife, in a lot of different forms.

[He's known of AI systems, though none so advanced. His mind is instead drawn to the respectful remembrance, as well as his own memories of someone who took his life in that way. Though in that case the reasons were less than noble.]
I guess someone could say that's expected. But to be honest, I've had a lot of trouble gauging "right" and "wrong" for a long time. In terms of loyalty, though, it sounds like you had the perfect comrade on your team. Do you have any chance of getting some of the Omnics that are taken over back?
[Rinzler probably would not like this portion of the story, he suspects.]

I have been accused of simplifying the world, recently, that everything is not as black and white as I would like it to be. But, I look around and think, how can we not help? We're doing the right thing here, yes? I can't imagine anything else. I can't imagine leaving here without doing anything.
[76's conversation was still getting to her.]

[His reasons are based in projection, superficial, selfish. But it seemed to have worked and that's all that matters. They'll have a damn harder time selling the next straggling crew that passes through..]
[He finally sees the restaurant, and loosely points with his left hand, still favoring it notably over his right.] I think that place is good enough. [It didn't look classy, but it was on the list of friendly establishments. And even if he perceives himself more stately and respectable now, truth is he'd be fine with a dive as much as he ever was.]

This will work. [She doesn't need fancy; if it's edible and - hopefully - non-lethal, it'll work.]

Can you tell me more about the Omnics? [Seeming to have come to some sort of conclusion, Miller finds a stool to occupy.] Might be relevant to a friend of mine.
[If only superficially, vaguely. While it's like saying that some other bipedal vaguely person shaped alien is like a human, they're at least right in that it's bipedal and organic. A few inescapable traits.]

What would you like to know, in particular?
no subject
Their personalities, mostly. How individual are they? How many changes do they go through? How do they compare to organics.
sorrrry this took so long!
[She orders something simple, but filling; it's been a long day.]
