Hey, Liquid's no stranger to complicated explanations. Only difference is he likes to explain them sometimes, because maybe he kind of likes to hear himself talk.
"I get you. I mean... the people I cared about were sort of dead, but that doesn't mean much out here." He's testiment to that. But... "My best friend just showed up, though. From when we were young, but it's still nice to have him around." He missed the hell out of him.
"Dunno if mine are dead or not. Not even sure if I'm dead or not. It's kinda confusing, but I figure if I'm here, I'm still alive, right? So they gotta be, too."
Conveniently, he ignores the fact that he'd watched his brother die. If he pretends it didn't happen, then maybe it didn't, Besides, he's supposed to be dead, too, so clearly something fishy's happening.
"Be crazy if my big brother showed up smaller than me."
"Yeah. That's a good way to look at it." It's... probably not a good idea for Liquid to mention how dead he was before he ended up here. For now, anyway.
"It's pretty strange, but I suppose the Ingress didn't exactly discriminate on where it was picking people up from. Wouldn't be surprised if it's happened to more people like that."
"Huh." He tries to picture Party when they were younger and he has to admit, he'd probably still follow his brother's lead, technically younger or not.
"Seems like that could really fuck some people up, though."
"Yeah. Learning things about your future can probably be pretty... strange, to say the least." Especially with his friend, who's psychic and can't exactly turn that off.
"But I suppose if that's going to go about fucking you up, so will magically appearing on a spaceship, hm?"
"It's pretty cushy here compared to back home, actually." Missing people excluded, of course, because Kobra would much rather have a rougher life with the people he loves than any sort of convenience without all of them.
"Nothing much here to really fuck a guy up, is there?" He's lying through his teeth, but that's someone else's problem.
"Don't like to commit to an opinion much, do you?" He drums his fingers on the inside of the car and smiles absently, clearly amused with something that he's not inclined to share.
Truth be told, he's more a fan of strong opinions, even if they're wrong. It's what he's used to.
"Thing is, I've been all sorts of places. Here, wherever we touch down, back home. There's plenty to have an opinion on, but safety? There's far too many factors in the first place. Me, I'm not so worried about things. I can take care of myself. Someone who can't? It's going to be far, far different."

Which isn't that safe at all. Liquid's had quite a few close calls.
"So I suppose the answer's a strong 'it depends.'"

For a good while, actually.
