[A small but nervous grin spreads across Asriel's face. He's still not entirely sure what's going on, but Toriel's comment along with his bigger hands and feet are his first clues.

He awkwardly tugs the blanket around himself a little more to hide the fact that his 10-year-old clothes definitely don't fit.]

Heh, I guess I hit a growth spurt?

One could say that. [She shakes her head, moving to pick her robe from the closet, handing it to Asriel. It isn't exactly fashion forward but it's clothes that will fit.

His current barely fitting clothing registers as uncomfortable for him to be in at most for the momster.] Here, this should work for now, dear. I don't think you're going to fit anything else here.

[He gladly takes the robe, and moves to stand up at full height. Asriel hasn't reached Toriel's height yet, but boy is he getting there. It shocks him a little to find that she isn't as tall as he remembers.]

Er... I'll be right back.

[He tugs the blanket up with him, and makes a very uncomfortable-looking journey to the nearest bathroom. He's gone for a few minutes, but when he comes back out he's wearing the robe and there's a sparkle in his eyes as he rubs his hands up his newly grown in horns.]

They're real... they're real horns! Mom, look!

[inruins]

You're quite grown up now. [Amusement wins out at the excitement on her son's behalf as he returns robed and patting at his horns.] I always wondered how your horns would come in, seems like they are just like your father and his father's before him.

[Asgore being mentioned in passing for once doesn't tank the conversation, at least not when Asriel is involved.]

[He is beaming so proudly. He lifts his hands to look at them. Unfortunately, the scars from the Outpost were still left on his cut up paw pads, but he wonders if this was the same size his dad's hands were when he was this age.

...He kind of wishes dad could see this too.]

Do you think my horns are gonna get bigger? Golly, I bet this is gonna make flying a transporter way easier!

Very likely. Your father's horns were roughly this size at this age from what drawings I saw of him back then. [ She has to smile a touch fondly at the faint memories of that time. She had only seen pictures of Asgore back then. Maybe made fun of him a little to her parents before being scolded.]

I am not sure just how it would make flying easier, dear. Especially if they do keep getting bigger.
