As of now, it's common knowledge to the crew that Tipota is dead. The manner of her death, however, is still being determined, and the other captains have sent another reminder through the MIDs to continue traveling in groups and not to wander around. The power issue has yet to be resolved, though it seems nothing is apparently wrong with the engines or the wings, but slowly, the chill begins to recede into something a little more tolerable—still cold but not freezing. The malfunctions that manifest aboard the Moira start to resemble a more systematic pattern, lights flickering in certain sections of the ship before shutting down in intervals of 30 to 60 seconds and coming to life again. It moves on through several areas, though it doesn't affect places with larger groups of people.

A day or two after the power begins to stabilize itself, everything comes to a standstill. There's a moment that seems as if time slows and stops. Things are eerily quiet... Anyone in the hallways will hear the lock of one of the I.L.R. release, security measures suspended to preserve life support functions. What had been a peaceful moment roars into chaos.

☄ Ploiatos
It's been here as long as anyone can remember. It lurks in the shadows, a human-shaped figure dressed in the tatters of a Moira uniform. In the dark, it feels the most comfortable, and its movements are impossible to pinpoint without the light. From a distance, it might appear to be someone you know, another crew member who's become lost in the corridors, but up close — well, no one actually knows what it looks like. At close proximity, it sinks itself into you, and the cold that has plagued the ship seems warm in comparison as the dark rises. Perhaps there had been something to the warning the captains had given before; maybe you should R U N.
• Together: There is always safety in numbers. Ploiatos is severely confused by the presence of more than one body, and though it's attracted to the particular emissions of the crew, it prefers the choice of one to two or more. Trying to hunt or capture it is impossible; it's gone as quickly as you can blink.
• Alone: There is no hope. You don't realize that it's there until you're waking up, the marks of its touch spreading across part of your body. These are permanent, a beacon to Ploiatos that it's had you once and only needs to get you once more to end it. Once will not kill you, but a second time will. Any attempt at contact via MID isn't likely as they momentarily short out within proximity to the creature.

☄ Bait & Lure
For those brave enough to try, a plan has been implemented by several of the crew to attempt luring Ploiatos back into its room in the I.L.R. Life support systems are drastically depleted now, oxygen levels low and the lights barely working, but it's up to the crew and those who SIGNED UP to help protect their friends and fellow crew members.

Wanda can't help but stiffen at the memory, but Bruce has a point. It would take something as fast as her brother or actually invisible to do this without waking the Other Guy.]

It looks like black lightning. Like someone drew on you. [Her finger hovers, tracing from his jaw down to his shoulder.] And it goes farther down. Are you sure it doesn't feel...strange?

[ He shakes his head, entirely unaware of the way she tenses at his remark. Normally he would have noticed, but in his current condition, something that brief and subtle is easily overlooked. ]

I feel strange everywhere right now. [ And yet, it's not a feeling he's entirely unfamiliar with. In some ways, this reminds him of all the times he goes back to normal after a transformation. Except this time around he's not completely naked. That's always an improvement. ]

We should get out of here. [ And he probably should get this mark checked, especially if it is bigger than what she can see. ] Help me up?

[Fair enough. She moves to help him up, ready to use her powers to catch him if he passes out or something. Wanda's not convinced he's out of the proverbial woods yet.]

I think you should go to the medbay. I've never seen anything like that before.

[ He puts a hand to her shoulder, not leaning too much of his weight against her, but accepting that support nonetheless. He feels a little dizzy at first, but soon he can stand on his own two feet without feeling like he's one breath away from falling over. ]

Alright. [ He nods, too tired to even try to fight her on that. Besides, considering what happened to Farin and one of the captains, that mark could grow and spread and he could very well drop dead any moment now. Or as close as he can get to dead.

Probably best to be around other people, too. ] What's the way?

[She's hovering just in case his ability to stay vertical changes, frowning in concern. He looks like he could drop at any moment.]

Are you all right to walk on your own? It is not far.

[Left up here if she remembers correctly.]

I think I can, yes.

[ He'll still keep close to her, just in case - and also so he can be of any actual use if that thing shows up again. He's sure she can protect herself, but if the creature's going to touch either of them, it may as well be him. ]

[Meanwhile, Wanda's preparing to defend them both in case that shadow thing shows up again. Threads of scarlet light weave their way around her fingers just in case - she'll have to be fast, she's guessed that much.]

I won't let it hurt you again.

[It hasn't occurred to her that maybe Tony never filled Bruce in on any part of what she does for the Avengers, just that Johannesburg clearly didn't come up. She's far too tense and focused on every noise or movement. Even her own breathing sounds too loud in the stillness.]

Tell me if I go too fast or you need to stop to rest.

[ Tony hadn't told him anything, no, so the threads of scarlet are a bit of a surprise, but not too much. Bruce might not know exactly what her skills are, but he figured she must have some kind of ability. He just never thought to ask.

He's not really going to ask now, either, not until they make it to the medbay and are relatively safe. Safer than here, anyway. ]

I will. [ They are in a rush, but Bruce wouldn't want to delay them by not recognizing his own limitations, and asking her to slow down if he can't keep up. ]

What about you? Are you alright? [ She doesn't seem hurt or affected, at least, not in the way he is. ] What were you doing out here?
