Closed to Lucio/Open later to medbay
Who: Pharah, Lucio, and any medbay people who want to help
When: After this
Where: Random hallway to Medbay
What: Pharah made some poor decisions
Warnings: Injury
Pharah had plenty of time to think about her poor decision as she tried to stumble back to to medbay. She should have been more on guard, shouldn't have let him get so close, shouldn't have engaged in the situation at all.
But would it have made a difference? Would he have tried to get to her anyway?
Her thoughts are disjunct, hazy, as she threatens to slip into unconsciousness. The wounds Reaper had inflicted weren't grievous, but they were calculated, precise enough to do maximum damage with minimum effort. She leans against the wall for a short break, and winds up sliding down to the ground as she starts losing her battle with blood loss. Whoever this Reaper was, he was well trained and efficient. Almost a perfect counter.

I'm with a private security firm. We go in where others can't and help with specialized threats. Are you familiar with Omnic God Programs?
no subject
[he skates back over with the water, passing it over.]
They sound like leaders, though, with a name like that.
no subject
[She gladly accepts the water and takes a few sips before continuing.] Sadly, they are not the good kind. They are AI, capable of overtaking area Omnics and controlling them, taking over area military technology. My unit was deployed to take one out that had freed his restraints.
[Another sip, then she looks at her cup considerately as she rolls it between her palms.] We took it down, but not before suffering heavy casualties.
no subject
[he puts his hand on her arm, carefully and softly.]
I'm sure you did everything you could for them.
no subject
It took me that mission figuring out how to help them best. But, that's what I do. [She takes in a breath and sighs.] But, they are not whatever this Reaper fellow is.
no subject
[lúcio raises his eyebrows, bobbing his head in confusion.]
I mean, you've been in here a couple days and I haven't heard anything about him at all. No newly injured people come in. Enemy of yours, maybe?
no subject
[She gives hum a wry chuckle.] Most certainly an enemy; he made that pretty clear.
no subject
[he pats her hand.]
Focus on recovering.
no subject
[She sounds a little frustrated, because she's the kind of person who likes to keep busy, and this is going to be the exact opposite of busy.]
no subject
[lúcio no]
no subject
[She appreciates it, though she's sure he has other things to do.]
no subject
[can't get him down.]

[Ratchet--in his hard light avatar, looking for the most part like a completely normal human--comes around a stack of supplies and over to the side of her bed, checking her IV and the monitors before he looks down at her.]
Good to see you awake, Captain.
no subject
It is good to be awake. [She may not remember everything about the previous night, but she realizes it was a close call.] Thank you for your help, doctor.
no subject
[lúcio grins and bumps ratchet's arm with his elbow lightly.]
That's a one to one vote! I guess I'll have to alternate. [he ducks down and gives pharah a brief hug.] Seriously, though. Real glad this all went well.
no subject
[He nudges Lúcio back a little, though, his expression not changing in the slightest.]
Please, call me Ratchet. And let me know if you need anything, though as far as I can tell we got most of the fluids you need back into your body where they belong. I'd like a more thorough debriefing once you're up to it, but if you don't think whoever did this is going to come kicking in the medbay doors to finish the job, it can wait.
no subject
I don't know much about him, but he did wait to target me in the dark when I was alone. I don't think he's an adversary to underestimate, though. [She did that once already and it nearly ended her.]
no subject
[lúcio shakes his head.]
I think all you can do for now is just stick to the crowded areas if he's gonna be like that.
no subject
[Ratchet's voice is a mutter before he heaves a sigh and raises it again.]
You said 'targeted'--you think he was after you, specifically? Any idea why?
no subject
I know exactly why. I have ties to an organization that he's been targeting. I would prefer to keep my friends safe, if possible.
no subject
[the security company she mentioned?]
no subject
[Ratchet is sounding steadily more alarmed, his optics narrowing.]
no subject
[It's a painful subject for her to talk about, but she purses her lips and continues for the sake of her friends.] It was called Overwatch.
[She gives Lúcio a glance to see if he'd heard of it.]
no subject
[a pause.]
Pharah... is it possible he's an Omnic? You said he hid his identity.
no subject
It's possible. He was covering up every shred of skin - whether metal or organic I couldn't tell. His voice didn't sound Omnic, but ... it didn't really sound human, either.
[She feels cold thinking about it. It was a sobering experience, to say the least.]
