[accepting his fate, riptide allowed magnus to drag him to his room, no longer fighting.

if he had more knowledge of the situation, he would respond differently. he doesn't, though, and all he knows is he takes part in something that results in all his friends being left for the djd. after everything he's experienced in regards to tarn aboard to moira, after everything everyone has done for him, he was still stupid and selfish enough to leave them all for dead.

[they didn't finish the wall.

riptide eventually gets sick of laying on his bed staring at it like a useless sack of shit and gets up, sliding off the berth to carefully press at the edges still sticking out awkwardly.

he still thinks the table looked fine where it was.

sighing, riptide gets to work. missing brainstorm and nautica intensely for a moment before telling himself he doesn't deserve to.]

[riptide blinks a little at the words that finally seem to sink in.

little yellow light strands starting bubbling at the corners of his optics and he pulls bee in suddenly.]

M'sorry, Bee. It's just really hard to deal with all this right now. You're still my friend, okay? I'm sorry for upsetting you.

[Oh. He hadn't meant to make Riptide leak. But--sometimes that's actually a good thing, right? Sari felt better after she cried and talked about things. Maybe he just needed to unload. Yeah!

Bumblebee only gives a small yelp as he's pulled close, quickly shifting in the huge grip so he can hug onto Riptide's faceplate again, not caring about getting the weird tears on him.]

It's--it's okay Rip. I'm just. [he pauses, frowning at himself before clinging tighter.] You're still my friend, too. You're a good guy. Even if you don't think so right now. Okay? You're okay.

[riptide says nothing, just presses his face into bee a little harder and trembling slightly from the effort of not making too much noise.]
