What: Directly after this. Peter really screwed up and now he's hanging out in the medbay until he recovers. Later he hangs out in the hold. Wanda's around to feild all your questions about how stupid her twin is.

[After a soft knock, he waits a half minute before he enters the occupied room and stops.]

I apologize... I did not mean to disturb you.

[seeingscarlet]

[Well, at least he actually used the door this time.]

It's all right. It's hard to wake him.

[Wanda might know this from a bit of unwanted experience - it looks like she might have been crying recently.]

[visionarie]

[The evidence of her crying is clear for all the world to see, clearer still for someone like him. It causes him to pause at the door, unsure if he should intrude until she gives her permission, and he slowly steps inside.]

He will recover.

[He reassures, as he takes a better look at her.]

You look... tired.

[seeingscarlet]

I know.

[It's just hard to look at Peter and not have flashbacks to Sokovia. Once again, this was entirely preventable and once again she's failed him.]

I'll be all right. [Maybe? Probably? She doesn't even know what time it is; the hand with the MID is currently occupied.]

[visionarie]

If I may ask, [there's a small hesitation as he takes in her state] when was the last time you slept?

[seeingscarlet]

[She blinks, tries to remember. Time has gotten a bit fuzzy. She's only been getting a few hours here and there when Peter's asleep, and even then, the quality of the little sleep she is getting...isn't great.]

A few hours ago?

[Obviously sleep isn't Wanda's priority right now.]

[visionarie]

You seem unsure.

[seeingscarlet]

I haven't been paying attention.

[There are more important things to worry about.]

[visionarie]

[His eyes fall to the sleeping figure.]

You'll only make him worry if you neglect yourself.

[seeingscarlet]

And he will worry if I am not here when he wakes up.

It's only for a few days.

[visionarie]

[Considering he has no experience with familial relationships, he believes her.]

Then, you should make yourself more comfortable during your stay.

I have a blanket.

[That counts, right? She's certainly made do with less.]

[visionarie]

[A small quirk of his lips.]

Perhaps you can make further accommodations.

[seeingscarlet]

[He will get a tiny, almost sheepish, smile in return.]

I could look for a pillow?

[visionarie]

[Somehow he doubts she'll leave her brother's side for that.]

You may take my own. It's never been used. [He doesn't sleep in his quarters so everything they gave him is still brand new and virtually useless to him.]

I'm sure we can find a spare one here.

[She'd still feel bad making him go all the way to his room and all the way back for something that must be tucked away in a much closer cabinet.]

[visionarie]

[He assumes the refusal is because it's his pillow, so he'll offer an alternative solution.]

Or I can exchange your chair.

[A comfortable chair she could use as a bed in exchange for the one in the room now would help more than a pillow.]

Are there better chairs?

[Wanda wasn't paying attention to anything but Peter when she came in, so for all she knows he's just talking about grabbing something ten feet away. Otherwise she'd probably tell him that he doesn't have to go to any great lengths for her.]

[visionarie]

[This time the quirk in his lips is more visible.]

Yes.

[seeingscarlet]

[Right, dealing with someone who might take things a little too literally. Or is just teasing her about it. Either way, it's...helpful for this to be treated like a normal conversation even if Wanda's always aware of Peter's hand in hers.

Sympathy is good, but being treated like she's going to shatter if someone says the wrong thing is not.]

Close better chairs?

[visionarie]

That's a matter of perspective.

If you would allow me [he turns halfway] I will be back shortly.

[And with that Vision disappears through the wall in search of this close chair.]

[seeingscarlet]

[Wanda gets ready to protest that he really doesn't have to go to that kind of trouble, but it seems Vision has learned that successfully fussing over Wanda sometimes requires not listening to her.

So she has no other option than to go back to what she was doing and wait.]

[visionarie]

[He returns fifteen minutes later with this lovely item in hand which through some miracle he manages to fit through the door.]

[seeingscarlet]

[Wanda just stares. They definitely have different definitions of 'close'...and she's never even seen a chair like that before.]

Where did you find that?

[Vision, please don't get in trouble for chairnapping...]

[visionarie]

It was left abandoned in one of the engines cooling rooms.

[He tells her as he sets it on the ground, the metal legs settling in quietly. When he's done, he stands back up and looks at her.]

I assure you, no one will miss it.
