[Hawke tends to spend her time on the observation deck playing with her Mabari hound, Kitty, by playing his favorite game of "catch the invisible ball". He's excellent at it just by the way. She usually ignores most of the people around it but since there are new people around, she's more inclined to engage in conversation. She is after all quirky not rude. And the young lad is asking for a pinch, so who is she to deny him.

Plus she loves the trick of giving people a little electric shock. It's always good for a laugh.]
