Who: Bruce Banner + assorted Avengers
When: 6/20, following this broadcast
Where: Moro #017
What: Lectures.
Warnings: LECTURES.
[ Pissed doesn't quite cover the watercolor of emotions Tony is currently experiencing. This is the final stress-straw in nearly a month's worth of them. Now they have to worry about being boarded and murdered by a bunch of angry genocide-refugees, and frankly, preventing Banner from adding to that body count had not been on his to-do list. Handing Banner to the Caducians means two things for sure: a very angry Hulk ripping through the enemy ship, and then possibly the Moira. A rational Bruce Banner would have figured that out already.
But, naturally, Bruce is not being rational about this.
After sending out the message (and securing a box of tranquilizers from his well-connected roommate), Tony re-convenes with the others outside the lifts of the Moro deck. He passes the box of tranqs to Nat, wordlessly, figuring she'll catch on quick enough. From there it's a short walk to Banner's private room, where they'll be letting themselves right in. Slamming in is probably more accurate if somebody else lets Tony be in charge of the "knocking civilly" part, for some reason. (Spoilers: there is no knocking.)
Bit out angrily once they're inside, like a month's worth of frustrations have finally hit their saturation point: ]
That cross isn't a good look on you.
[ Enjoy a group of Avengers crowding in your doorway, Bruce. ]

[ Jessica's not the coddling type. She has no interest in treating him with kid gloves. Yeah, he's dangerous, but he's not the only one. She hasn't moved from her position, still watching him with sharp eyes and a slightly unnerving clarity given she'd kept herself on high alert since this whole mess started. His words strike a nerve, though, her tone a little sharper than it might have needed to be. A kneejerk reaction that's laced with history.
She sees him moving, hoping that a single name might be able to at least halt him enough for tranqs to possibly come out. The words rush out as she balances her weight on both feet - ready to physically hold him if this doesn't work. ]
Think of Trish, Bruce. Don't do this. You know as well as I do that she'd be fucking irate right now if she knew what you were planning.

No. You know what? She would be, but she's not here, is she? And maybe she'll hate me for it when she wakes up [ if she wakes up ] but at least she'll be alive to feel that way, and you can bet I'll do anything to make sure that stays the case. Anything.
[ There's a kind of tension to him when he speaks, not out of anger exactly but there's definitely something unpleasant there at having Jess use Trish of all arguments, as if that would make Bruce stop and give up on the very plan that would keep the woman he loves safe. As if his sacrifice wouldn't be worth it if it saved her life, along with the lives of all the other people on the ship— in this very room. ]

You're assuming that they'll stay true to their words. That they aren't just gonna wipe us out once they get what they want. Doesn't do you much good to throw yourself under the fucking bus if you're the only one playing by the rules.
[ Trust was a funny thing, especially when it involved other parties. Maybe it was just her job back home feeding this, life experiences... But people lied. ]

She focuses on everyone, filing away a lot for later. It's not as if they won't have time for a chat later.
Once he starts to get agitated and Jessica's got his attention, she knows it's time to act. There's no hesitation in her movement as she raises the tranq gun and fires right at Bruce's bicep. ]
You can continue this discussion later.

Before he gets to, though, there's a sudden prickle on his bicep, not too painful but strong and sudden enough to get his attention. He winces, a hand lifting to his arm, feeling around until he can feel the dart, then he yanks it out.
He looks from it to Natasha, who's talking to him, gun still in hand, and his eyebrows knit in some mix of confusion and rapidly fading anger. ]
Wha-... [ He doesn't manage much in terms of coherence (or consciousness) when the tranquilizer's quick to take effect, and the next second he's blinking heavily, failing to cling to any sense of balance, letting out an audible and unrestrained exhale as he basically collapses right against Jess. ]

She waits until he's actually on his way towards her to catch him, keeping him upright before shooting a look over her shoulder. ]
Where are we taking him?
[ It'd be easier to throw him over her shoulder once out of the room, so she'd like to figure out which way to point herself first. ]
U BEAT ME BY 2 SECONDS
Tony doesn't intervene, doesn't move one way or another, just lets Nat do her thing. Jessica can handle the distinctly human-sized burden, anyway. ]
That was fun. [ Tony claps his hands together, like all of this is Fine. Even if he's finding this particularly distasteful, it's still the best possible outcome. No Hulk incident, and no Banner flinging himself into the Caducans' dubiously waiting arms. ] Cargo bay, was it?
