You had more of an interest than most in my side of the story after Tex’s network post. [Tone is still amicable, though there’s something analytical in the look he gives Prometheus as he says it. Prometheus seems to have gotten whatever information he was looking for out of the exchange, while leaving Alan almost entirely in the dark as to his true thoughts on what had happened. Alan figures that much was intentional.
The answer about “kindred spirits” is a surprise, one Alan has trouble taking at face value. Certainly Prometheus’s talkative, rather dramatic nature seems to have little in common with what Alan knows of Rinzler. Something else then -- perhaps it has to do with what they are rather than who.]
