Who: Rail and open!
When: 5/15 and 5/30
Where: Amissis-Re and the Library
What: Portal jumping and space reading!
Warnings: Rail being Rail
[A. Portal Jumping]
[It seemed too good to be true. And for a long time, Rail resisted the urge to go world hop with everyone else. She found little ways to distract herself, to stave off the feeling of homesickness eating at her. It was dumb, right? You can't be homesick when you really didn't have a home.
But she hated this ship. And she hated space. She missed busy roads filled with cars and pollution, she missed talking about bombs with Nice, she missed back-alleys and teasing Jacuzzi.
... Just checking it out for a little while wasn't gonna hurt anything, right?
After pestering the nearest person, they end up at the portal. After a lot of hesitation, Rail finally makes her decision to go through with it. And as for her traveling companion?
Well, welcome to 1930s Chicago.]
Shit, it really did work...
[B. Library]
[Normally, the library is the last place anyone would find Rail. She's not much of a reader, and her reading skills aren't very high to begin with. But there's a small pile of books about space next to her, of various reading difficulty.
And Rail herself, sitting on the floor with a book in her lap, page opened to a picture of some planets and stars. Her face is scrunched up in frustration.]
Nothing in this book makes any damn sense!
