[He watches her sleep for a while, before realizing that might be kind of creepy, and instead tries to wake her. He has a few questions, like why she's here, why he's in the infirmary, and where his prosthetic went. He'd be worried, but if she's here, he can't be in too much danger.]
[He kisses her forehead.] Cassandra.

Hey.
[Hopefully the slight movement she had made upon waking up just looked like general surprise and not attempted murder. That would be an awkward apology. At least her voice sounds appropriately thick with drowsiness, and she looks happy to be waking up next to him.]
Feeling better?
no subject
It's alright. [He's smiling placidly.] I'm fine. Maybe a little sore. I guess I made it to the infirmary?
no subject
I think you have some broken ribs and a concussion, so that could explain the soreness.
[Careful not to shift too much, she rests her head against the edge of his shoulder.}
You don't remember posting on your MID about giant droids and how the nurses won't let you talk to anyone?
no subject
[Luke just kind of stares. Please save him from himself, Cassandra.]
no subject
[She laughs as she says it, lifting her head so she can look up at him. She wants to see what his embarrassment looks like.]
It's a good thing I stayed here with you, who knows what else you would've said or done.

You weren't bad, [She promises, laughing some more.] You were just...out of it. I think you pet me at one point after I kissed you.
no subject
[...He kind of wishes he remembered.]
[But that's not the point, even if it does take him a good few seconds to stop thinking about it.] Just tell me if I did anything really embarrassing.
no subject
[She can honestly tell him that, at least.]
You really don't remember anything?
[It's a little disappointing he doesn't remember the kiss, but that just means he'll get a chance to initiate something himself another time.]
no subject
[He thinks about it for a little.]
I remember being confused, I think. And... [He frowns.] How long have I been in medical?
no subject
[She sits up enough that she can look around.]
I'm not sure how long we slept. It's been a couple of days since I rested, so I might've been out for a while. You'll probably be in here for a few days, unless you want me to sneak you out.
no subject
That you for sl- staying with me, Cassandra. I probably needed it.
no subject
[She smirks, feeling a little pleased with herself after what he's said. It's nice to feel like she's making a difference.]
And don't worry. I'll sleep with you anytime.
[She knows exactly how it sounds and just wants to fluster him.]
no subject
Very funny. [Is Luke pouting? Maybe a little.] I'm glad your sense of humor's intact.
no subject
I'm hilarious. And so is the way you blush and pout when I mention anything intimate.
[Really, Luke. Stop making it so easy to tease.]
no subject
[The kiss fixes everything, though, and he relaxes, though the blush doesn't fade so quickly.] If I'm making you laugh, then it's worth it.
no subject
[She pauses, nose wrinkling up as she realizes something.]
Which is probably a good thing, with your ribs. I don't -
[She hesitates in asking, because she doesn't want to tank the light mood.]
It doesn't make you uncomfortable, does it?
no subject
[There's the point, flying right over his head-]
You mean-
[And it landed. Luke groans and rubs the bridge of his nose with his right hand. His left arm is still instinctively hidden. Some things bother him, others he just doesn't want to talk about. It's a distinction he hasn't, he realizes, made at all.]
It doesn't... bother me. Nothing about you bothers me.
no subject
There has to be something about me that bothers you.
[She fears he may have put her up on some kind of pedestal, which will come crashing down the second he learns more about her life back home. ]
no subject
I guess... there's nothing that upsets me. If I'm bothered by anything... [He reaches for her hand.] It's that your planet sounds like a frightening place, and I'm sorry you had to deal with it.
no subject
I got used to dealing with it. I'm strong because of it.
[Meaning: while it sucked and was hell, she wouldn't change what happened because it's made her who she is now.]
I just don't want you to think I'm perfect or anything.
no subject
[Okay, even Luke thinks that line was corny. Moving on...]
Does anything about me bother you?
no subject
[She's way too busy being caught up in the fact he's just said that he thinks she's perfect for him. It's a corny line, but one that means a lot to her because no one else has ever bothered to say it to her, and she looks like a sentimental idiot once he says it. So much that she doesn't answer his question.
Instead, she turns her head and leans in to kiss him. He might as well have an actual kiss that he can remember, right?]
no subject
[It's also good that Luke's mouth is otherwise occupied, or in this sudden flourish of emotion he'd likely be making proclamations of his feelings that no one wants to hear before the third date. Or the fourth.]
[His thoughts stay on the kiss, which for his efforts isn't amazing; a total lack of experience will do that to you. But, you know, he tries, and when they break apart he's smiling like he just won the moon.] You're wonderful. I mean it.
