Riptide knew what to do, almost instantly, when he saw the little bike.

Staring down at it with an expression of disappointment, like he expected it to transform into something cooler or bigger, Riptide wordlessly brings up a name on his MID. One who he's certain would make good use of it.

Riptide taps the call button, letting it ring out.

Scott answers his MID as soon as he sees who is calling. There's no hold time when it comes to Riptide.

"Hey, man. How's it going?"

He sets down his tools, leaning back in his seat to focus on the conversation.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got a weird gift so I'm gonna be rude and re-gift it. To you. Come down to the cargo bay, I think you'll like it." he says, wasting no time. He actually feels a little excited, knowing Scott will probably very much like the stupid little bike.

"Huh, okay, but if you're going to say it's weird, it better be really weird, man." He pauses, scooting his seat back. "I'll be there in five." Scott turns the MID off, making his was to the cargo bay. He's pretty excited to see what it is, and knowing Riptide, it'll probably be something amazing.

PERHAPS SCOTT WILL BE DISAPPOINTED... perhaps not.

Riptide will be in the cargo bay, crouched over the bike. He wants to poke it, but he knows it would break. He really wants to poke it.

Scott is definitely not disappointed, not even a little bit. It could have been the weirdest thing he'd ever seen and he'd have still liked it. He heads into the cargo bay, turning and walking towards Riptide after he catches a glimpse of his beautiful blue self.

"Hey, man. How a-" He breaks off, coming over to the bike with wide eyes. "Is this for me?"

"Yep." he says, enjoying the surprise. "I got it somehow recently but it's, ah... a little small. So I thought you'd enjoy it more."

Riptide moves back a little to give Scott space. "I don't really like the colour, anyway."

"It'd be cooler if it were blue."

He grins up at Riptide then moves forward to get a good look at the bike. It's nice, the tech used to make it only a little bit more advanced than what he knows.

"I love it, man. Thank you."

Scott's not really sure how to thank him, usually he'd do a hug or a handshake, but since Riptide's so much bigger, he walks up to his leg and awkwardly hug-pats it instead.

"Ah! Haha!" Riptide chirps. He doesn't notice it but his cheeks flush slightly pink.

When Scott does the thing, Riptide just grins down at him. His hands are so big, what CAN he do?

"I'm glad. I mean, I thought it was gonna be weird for a minute but it wasn't weird! This isn't weird, right?"

"Why would it be weird? It's not weird."

It could be weird, and if Scott didn't get himself together quickly, he's going to make it weird for them both. He clears his throat, stepping back, but not too far.

"Nobody's ever given me something like this, man. Seriously, best gift ever."

[knaval]

"Really? I thought humans were all about their weird little motor-things."

Riptide tents his hands in front of his face.

"I say you should give it a test drive."
