The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and nothing is familiar.
Welcome to Caducus Primary
Shortly after your arrival, you are met by one of the captains and any of the crew of the Moira who might have accompanied him. You are given a brief physical scan and are asked to sign a contract that states you are now part of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. Much like the Moira's own Ingress, C-Primary's Ingress seems to be malfunctioning, and nothing can return through it. If you choose to disregard this offer, you will be detained indefinitely by the natives of Caducus Primary. (Joining the Moira is really the only choice you have.)

From a distance, Caducus Primary doesn't look like much. The weather on the planet is extremely stable, and the vegetation is neat, almost pristine. What stands out about C-Primary, however, is the fact that there are hundreds of VERY TALL buildings packed together in many of the cities. They are elevated about the ground on what appear to be stilts and sway almost gracefully in the gentle breeze that is always present. Their stability never wavers; they don't fall down. The streets are lined with beautiful sculptures that are placed wherever light is needed. Many other designs can be found outside as well as in. This planet is rather wealthy, and the abundance of their natural resources reflect in everything. The world glitters just as glass would in the sunlight.
Native Details
● They have darker skin tones, but their hair styles and colors are all as unique as they can make them. This can be seen as influence from other travelers.
● Friendly, welcoming, and encouraging to the crew to trade with them for what they need.
● There are no visible "poor" areas.
● Calm and organized. If lost or in need of directions, they will offer to take you where you are going.
● Vey strict when it comes to rules. (Trade what you say you're going to trade.)
☄CITY PROPER
There are many things to do once on planet. In the city proper, stepping into one of the multiple shops reveals workers crafting glass figurines, jewelry, cups, and other items to your specifications. Trading is the same as on all other planets—there is no one accepted monetary unit. Yet, any unsavory cargo (such as weapons, explosives, alcohol, and drugs) will not be found anywhere in the vicinity of these areas. Other travelers have set up places outside the cities near transporter zones for these particular necessities. Trade at your discretion. At night, if you catch your reflection in a surface that isn't quite as transparent (on a sculpture, the side of a building, anything made of glass), there will be a momentary glimpse of your past or future self. A blink, and then, it will be gone.
Staying on the Moira isn't required during time spent on Caducus Primary. Visit one of its many fine hotels with its beautiful accomodations. The price is remarkably inexpensive: it's free.

[ He shakes his head. ] Someone I talked to suggested that we might be seeing glimpses of the future - just our own, it looks like. Do you think it's possible?
no subject
If we are seeing our futures, does that mean we all manage to get home?
no subject
It doesn't really occur to him that it means they're going home, until she mentions it. ]
You know, I guess it does. [ He smiles a little. ] It's something to look forward to, but it'll be strange after all of this.

I just wish we knew when. I’ve already been away for too long. [She lad left Pandora in a rather… precarious situation. What if the Vault hunters have forgotten about her already? Who will help her take down Atlas if not them? Athena’s not the type to sound fretful, but now her worry over is clear in her voice.] Things may have changed in my absence.

If they arrive and I’m not there… [Will they think she deceived them? What if they believe she’s already been sent back to Atlas? What if they leave?] I might lose their help. And then I’d be left to face Atlas on my own. [And last time she’d tried that, they had captured her.] I… don’t think it would end well.

You were planning to kill someone? Athena... [ Clark's hand tightens against his arm, but he looks more concerned than anything. It's clear from his expression that he doesn't approve of this at all, but he knows enough about Athena to know it's not something she takes lightly, either. ]
Why? [ A pause. ] What did he do?

Atlas isn’t a “he.” Atlas is a corporation. [So no, she isn’t planning to kill someone; she’s planning to kill a lot more than that.] A corporation with more war crimes to its name than all the bandit clans of Pandora combined. [She shakes her head and her tone softens some.] They… tricked me into killing my sister. And now they’ll have to answer for that.
[Her gaze lowers in thought.] At least, once I get back to Pandora.

Athena comes from a world that's more unlike his own than he ever thought. He doesn't like the idea of her killing people - but not particularly because of what it will do to the people who've clearly wronged her. ]
I'm sorry about your sister. [ It's sincerely meant. It's difficult to lose family - he can't imagine how much worse it is to lose them by your own hands. ] How did they trick you into something like that? There's no government that will hold them accountable?

They deployed my squad to her village without telling me and had us carry out an Order 64. All of our visors were set to thermals-only, so we couldn’t see the faces of our targets. She couldn’t recognize me and I couldn’t recognize her. [It was standard practice in the Crimson Lance. Unless they had ordered the assassination of one person in particular, the physical appearances of their targets weren't all that relevant. In fact, they only served as distractions, according to Atlas command. Easier to simply reduce their targets to smears of glowing yellow and red against blue. Then it was simply a matter of turning out the lights.
Not that it mattered. It was always easy to tell when Atlas was having them kill civilians.]
The central government was abolished during the Corporate Rebellions. [Which was long before Athena’s time, but Atlas had made sure to educate her and her sisters about their glorious origins.] Planets are ruled by corporations and they have been for some time. Atlas has rivals, but they have no interests but their own profit. If anyone is going to make them pay for what they’ve done, it will be me. [And it’s a burden she’s all too ready to accept.]

Still, it's not particularly useful or fair to pass judgement when he knows so little about her world and her life. What she's done is as terrible as what she was tricked into. He still cares about what happens to her, and revenge will only take her so much further. ]
And what happens after you take down Atlas? What do you do then?
no subject
I’m sure there are plenty of people outside of Atlas who could benefit from an assassin’s services. [The words are confident, but her uncertain tone betrays how little she’s thought on the matter.] Pandora has no shortage of people who are willing to pay for someone else’s death.
no subject
Why go back to that? There must be something you can do that isn't just being used like a weapon.
no subject
Do you know what I remember before Atlas?
no subject
Softly: ] No.
[ He's listening, though. ]

When I say I’ll find someone else to kill for after Atlas is gone, it’s not because I think it’s right or because it’s what I want. It’s because it’s the reality of the situation. [There’s no sorrow in her voice when she says it. Only matter-of-fact resignation.] Atlas made me what I am, and I can’t change that anymore than a sword can become a shield.
no subject
I think you're wrong about that. Whatever your reasons were, Athena, you fought, and you survived, and you did everything you did with your own hands. You made yourself. What you become is up to you now. [ Though his voice is still pitched low and steady, there's a quiet kind of conviction in the words. Maybe there are things he still isn't seeing, but what he does see is potential, and he just can't let that go. ] There must be some part of you that knows you're more than anything Atlas could make.
