What: A bunch of kids make a couch fort and watch movies. Only one of them knows what the fuck they are doing.

Really, to Frisk, this was a fool-proof plan. But two of the weirder people that they like together in a room, act as mediator, and BAM! Both of them would have a new friend and everything would be fuzzy puppies that don't steal powerful artifacts from right in front of them, ANNOYING DOG.

Ahem. Anyway.

They have a bag full of snacks slung over one shoulder and their blankets and pillow off their bed rolled up under another, and are currently tearing through the halls down to the Lounge to get things set up. Or at least as set up as an impromptu sleepover can really get--all they have in mind is to start stealing all the couch cushions and find some chairs to prop open the doorway.

Honestly, Ginko barely knows how to respond to being invited to something like this. He's obviously never been to a sleepover before, and doesn't really know what to expect from it.

But it's not like he's got much else to do right now; besides, he likes Frisk well enough. Might as well see what this is all about.

He shows up a few minutes later, clutching his own bedding against his chest in a tightly rolled-up ball. "...Hello."

Why is Kaworu always a warning this is persecution!!!!

If Ginko has no idea what a sleepover is, Kaworu only has half an idea.

He has, after all, had Shinji over at his place, at least insamuch as he had 'a place' for the short period of time he existed outside of SEELE's cloister, and Shinji did in fact sleep in his bed. But the concept of a 'sleepover' itself is completely alien to him. All he has is Frisk's exciting chattering and their insistence that he bring his pillow and blankets, which he gamely agreed to do.

He intends to be the last to arrive, though, and to that end, is waiting until he knows they are both there.

Why?

Well... he wants to see Frisk and Ginko talk to each other. He wants to see what they do, and how they do it. That's all.

I speak only truths!!!

Frisk's head pops up from behind a rather alarmingly large pile of cushions, and they grin before running around to greet Ginko and beckon him into the room.

"Hi, Ginko! C'mon, we'll put your stuff down over here an' we can start making the fort!" Frisk leads Ginko over to the couch they've selected to be the foundation for the fortress, and gestures to the stripped off seat area where they've set their things.

Ginko nods and sets down his bundle of bedding where Frisk indicates before giving them an uncertain glance. "The fort?"

"Yeah! A fort for us all to sleep in! An' then we can talk an' share stories an' put movies on to watch!"

Frisk points to the pillows, and then makes a sweeping gesture around them. "We gotta put up the walls, an' then the door at the front, an' the blankets can be the roof!"

"Oh... okay."

He wanders over to look over the pillows before picking one up uncertainly. "So where... where should I put this?"

"Oh! Um, those are gonna be the walls, so they go--" Frisk pauses for a moment, looking at Ginko as they consider something. "You wanna choose where the walls go? You tell me where you wanna make it go, and I'll help make it work!"

"...Uh." He looks down at the pillow in his hands, then back at Frisk. "...You should probably choose. I don't... really know where to put it."

[gainedlove]

"Naw, you can do it! Just say where to put 'em an' I'll do it!" They cross their arms nod firmly, giving Ginko a confident smile. "An' if you change your mind we can just do it again, no problem!"

"Um... okay."

Unfortunately, he really doesn't have even an idea of where to put it. So after a couple seconds of doubtful silence, clutching the pillow to his chest, he points out a semi-random spot on the floor.

"...There?"

"Got it!!"

Frisk giggles and rushes over to the spot, taking a few cushions to start setting the walls up. "Could you bring the other ones over, please?"

"O-okay." That, he can do. He grabs a second cushion to bring over, still clutching the first. "Where should I put them?"

[gainedlove]

"Um, just by these ones! The walls go up like this, see?" Frisk leans one of the cushions up against another carefully, making sure Ginko can see how they're bracing it. "It's a little tricky at first, but they'll stay up alright once we get chairs at the corners!"

He nods and tries to set his cushions up the same way Frisk did, frowning a little as they wobble. "Is... is that good enough?"

[gainedlove]

Frisk looks over, and after a moment's consideration they nod with a smile. "You can put it more lean-y, but that's good! You keep going, I'll get the chairs!"

Pchooooo, off they go!

Ginko continues to go back and forth, getting cushions and trying to arrange them as best he can. After a few seconds, he glances at Frisk again.

"...Why are we putting this together, exactly?"

He sounds sort of sheepish, like he's not sure if he's supposed to know the answer to that already.

"I got the part about... sleeping in it and everything, but couldn't we just do that on the couches?"

[gainedlove]

"Oh, um..." Frisk pauses in getting the chairs put into position, scuffing the floor with one foot. "Well, it's more fun this way! Like you're camping, but it's all inside!"

"Huh..."

He still doesn't quite get it. Might be something that has more appeal to people who aren't used to effectively camping ALL THE TIME - though he guesses, like they said, at least it's inside. And not in the unforgiving vacuum of space which he guesses would be their other option here.

Either way, Frisk sure seems excited, and that's reason enough for him. He tilts his head as he looks over the fort-in-progress. "Is it... working?"

Who even wants to hang out in space, there's just no atmosphere!

Frisk nods with a smile and goes back to hauling the chair over, clearly quite pleased with everything. "Yeah! You're doing great, don't worry!"

After a bit of fussing, Frisk gets the last chair just where they want it and nods with a grin. "Okay! Now the roof!"

"You said to use a blanket for that, right?"

He's starting to feel like he has some idea what he's doing here, at least.

Building. They're... building something using the furniture that's already there?

That's... so...

So....

... Lilim.

Taking apart something functional, just for the challenge and enjoyment of building something new...?

He comes out of 'hiding' at last, though, hauling blankets and pillow in his arms.

Sorry, but you're not getting through this night ('night?') without him.

"Yeah! I think we can just use our two for the top an' still have one for--oh! Kaworu, over here!"

Frisk, you're the only people in the lounge at all right now. Still, they wave and beckon Kaworu over with a wide smile. "Can you help us get the top on? It's hard to reach!"

Ginko looks up, just sort of staring at Kaworu instead of waving or anything. He doesn't mean to be rude he just... look okay he doesn't know how to greet people, honestly.
