[Closed] How to make new friends
Who: Trish Walker and Sans
When: At some point before Bruce comes back from his canon update
Where: By his cryo unit
What: Trish is talking to the Brucicle and possibly makes a new friend
Warnings: Will add if necessary
She goes to the cryo unit every day, sometimes more than once. She doesn't always stay long (though sometimes she does) but she does make a point of going there at least once a day. If she can't think of anything to say, she'll just sit there and meditate for a while because she thinks he would like that, but most of the time she does have something to say. She'll talk about her day, what she has planned for her next broadcast, or she will tell him that he'd better wake up eventually or she will kill him.
Every day she worries that he just... won't be there anymore. That this is how their story will end. A great big unresolved could have been.
Today isn't a talky day, but she can't really find the peace of mind to meditate either so she just stands there sort of staring.
"Please just come back."
A quiet little whisper, and she hates how vulnerable the sound is. How loud it seems in the quiet space that surrounds her.
But most of all she hates that it doesn't matter what she says, he'll stay in that damn cryo unit until he's good and ready to come out. Or until he vanishes.

I'M SO SORRY, I thought I hit this!
Occasionally one sees people milling outside it, of course. His own brother kept up a constant vigil while he was away 'on vacation,' and Sans knows he would do the same if their positions were reversed. If Sans sees mourners, it's no calcium off his bones to find another spot to nap.
Though after two days of returning to find the same woman in the same place, seemingly unmoved, Sans can't help but feel a small pit of concern.
He knows her, of course -- he makes it his business to know everyone. Trish Walker, a radio personality on the ship and friend to many -- particularly Bruce Banner, the man Sans has been paying thoughtful mind to ever since he begin the resurgence process. Bruce was kind to him, and by all accounts Trish was equally so.
Call him sentimental, but seeing her all alone (or, at least, locked in a onesided conversation) spurred Sans into something he didn't usually care for: action.
"Uh, hey there." Sans was suddenly very aware of how his bones rattle against each other on his approach. "I saw you here the other day. Just wondering, but have you eaten?"
DON'T WORRY I LOVE YOU
Yeah, it freaks her out a lot.
Actually, she very nearly screams when she sees Sans, but somehow manages to hold it in while her brain tries to process the question he asked.
"What?"
Yeah, it didn't go very well.
How is he even talking? HE HAS NO VOCAL CHORDS.

"I asked if you're hungry. Y'know, food, drink, that whole thing?"
no subject
""I... I don't know."
Actually now that he's asking she's not sure how long it's been since the last time she ate. She's fairly certain that food happened at some point she just... can't seem to pinpoint the exact time.
Okay, no, time to start making some sense, the talking skeleton is just trying to be friendly.
The talking skeleton is just trying to be friendly.
Jesus.
"I mean. I probably should be. Can't really remember what the last thing I ate was."
no subject
Sans is sure he would, but certainty is hard when you have reason to be afraid.
"I was saving this for later." Sans explains, pulling a semi-squashed sandwich wrapped in cellophane from his pocket. "But I think you could use it more."
no subject
She considers declining the offer, but as soon as she lays eyes on the sandwich her stomach lets out a very audible growl, which she decides to take as her cue to just take the sandwich.
"I'm Trish."
Said as she starts unwrapping the cellophane, thinking to herself that it's really kind of weird that she has been transported to another universe, and still there are sandwiches wrapped in plastic.
no subject
"Heya, Trish. I'm Sans." On cue, he reaches into his other pocket, pulling out a second sandwich. For later's later. "Take a load off, I'll eat with ya."
He settles down by the wall, bones creaking slightly before getting to work unwrapping his own sandwich.
"Waiting on someone?"
no subject
"Yeah."
She nods in the direction of Bruce's cryo unit.
"Sleeping Beauty over there."
no subject
"First time having someone go through this?"
no subject
She sighs and gives the cryo unit a mournful look.
"You know him?"
Or is he here to check on someone else maybe?
no subject
He left that behind a long time ago.
"You guys close?"
