[Open] working your fingers to the bones, cause nobody loves you when you're gone
Who: Papyrus, Sans, and YOU!
When: March 12th and onwards
Where: Medbay
What: Papyrus had a really bad idea that nearly got himself and Sans killed. Sans put out a call for help. This log is for the general followup/aftermath.
Warnings: Broken bones and hearts, cracked skulls, life draining, will add more if necessary.
((OOC Note: The translator event will affect the skeletons, so anyone tagging in on the 13th will be in for a lively game of charades!))

But Papyrus doesn't like the way his new cool robot friend is frowning, so he quickly keeps speaking.
"I think sometimes the Ingree is just like that! It brought a dangerous human from our home, as well. I wouldn't call them my enemy though, just confused."
Never mind that Chara had killed Sans and tried to kill him. It was complicated, and he didn't like thinking about it.

Is he supposed to apologize? Or... offer condolences? Or something? He's got no idea. But, movies hadn't said anything about underground monsters. Maybe he'd just missed those ones.
"A dangerous human? Is that what happened to you?"
Because wow, hey. Not cool. Does he have to try and do something about this?
*Ingress oops
He smiles again, though it's not quite as bright this time. "Well, it was all just a misunderstanding! There's another sort of skeleton monster here, and I thought maybe he could be more like myself. I'm very great, you see, and I had hopes he could be too!"
i didn't even notice dude it's cool
"Oh, uh. Sorry. Hey! You've been here a while though, right?" His own grin gets stronger, and he waves his hands vaguely at the area around them. Topic change incoming!
"You know if there's anything like an arcade or... even just a game system? 'Cause dude, nothing is better when you feel like garbage than kicking tailpipe in a game."

It'd be a little hard for him right now anyway with his MID-bearing arm in a sling.

Those were his favorite. The ones where you could be the hero or the racing star. The literal best, in Sideswipe's humble opinion. The MID games haven't really interested him yet, given they lack those options.
He rocks a little where he sits.
"Have you seen any like that on this ship? Like... any?"

Suddenly, this cool robot bro is speaking Papyrus's language. He's never driven a car in his life, but he adores the idea so much. Even a simulation would be exciting. He sits up straighter, eyesockets bright. "You mean like simulations to replicate the thrill of being behind the wheel? That sounds amazing! Maybe we have something like that on the ship!"

This was a good idea. Sideswipe doesn't have many of those, but this one seems like it was a real winner. He sits up a bit, too, holding his hands palm-out so he can gesture better. Like that's going to help illustrate his point.
"You're an ace car driver trying to win your way through the NASA-CAR or something like that," he says, the words speeding up a bit in excitement. "But oh man, look out! Your rival's right up your tailpipe and gaining fast!"
Another waggle of his hands before he adds, a little more thoughtfully:
"If not, you could probably hitch a ride in my cab sometime, dude. You'd fit."

He trails off, glancing curiously at him.
"What do you mean by your... cab?"
Somehow, he's never seen any of these guys transform yet.

It's one of the few things besides movies and music he can appreciate about the planet. And he can tell this is going way better than the other topic was -- so go him. The old bots and worried humans can shove it up their tailpipes.
His grin turns smug.
"My car mode, my dude," he says, jerking a thumb at himself. "I turn into a Grade A, super fast sports car."
