hyperkinesia: (Like it's thinking.)

( open ) you are descended from animals

Who: Bruce Banner and anyone!
When: First half of March.
Where: Several places around the Moira.
What: A general catch-all if anyone wants to run into him on the ship since he won't be going down to the planet at all.
Warnings: None for the moment, will update if need be.
( a note: I'm good with both brackets and prose, so just pick whichever you prefer and I'll match! )

WORKING; SCIENCE DEPARTMENT.

Things seem a little calmer now, and while that leaves Bruce feeling wary of what might yet happen, it also offers him a semblance of peace and quiet. The planet seems interesting but not very welcoming, and for that reason he decides not to go down there and visit himself, opting for staying on the ship and spending a good amount of his time in the science department.

Especially as he starts getting data from the planet, helpfully provided by Clark, he dedicates himself to putting together a file with all the thorough information, as well as building a holographic projection of the surface, based on the images and sensors Clark got him. It's exciting work to him, even if it might not seem like much to some, and he can often be found at the department, poring over all the images and information collected.

TRAINING & MEDITATING; OBSERVATION DECK, GARDENS, RECREATION AREA.

It's not all work for him, though. He knows he can't push himself past a certain point of exhaustion, and even if things seem calm right now, it's always good to keep practicing a little, and keep himself well in check. His favorite meditation spot is the observation deck, and he's likely to be found there more often than not, sitting on a small blanket, legs crossed and hands resting over his knees. The gardens are also a close second, and he goes there a few times too, enjoying what little of nature they have on board.

At the recreation area, he makes use mostly of the pool about once a week, going for a few leisurely laps at odd hours, when the place happens to be empty - or close enough to it.

MEALS & DUTIES; MESS HALL.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons are spent doing his duties at the mess hall, clearing out tables and making sure there's always food at the buffet for people to help themselves. Outside of that schedule, he can be found there during meal hours, sitting by himself and more often than not reading some file or, most likely, a book.

WILDCARD; ANYWHERE.

Run into him on a corridor, spot him at the library, what have you - Bruce regularly visits different areas of the ship so it's not unlikely for him to be spotted in a myriad of different places. Go wild!

That would be wonderful, if you wouldn't mind. I'd like to take a look at all that's offered before deciding of course, but a physics course may be useful. Considering where we are, after all.

[ Of course, she doesn't know much about physics at all, beyond that it's helpful to be aware of while in space, and all sorts of different planets. She may very well end up in his class--but again, she'd like to see what else there is before making any decisions. There may be more immediately useful ones for her.

To his agreement with her observation, Elsa simply nods, but when he asks her further questions, she gives him a bit of an odd look. The question itself is strange to her--largely because the idea of having powers of any kind and not being able to wield them willingly is... Well, odd. ]

Yes, of course. I've...never had much of a problem with it when it was done willingly. I'm perfectly capable, just... I haven't done it willingly in years. --That is, I hadn't. To be completely honest, I had found the freedom to use my powers as I saw fit without having to worry about harming anyone just before the Ingress brought me here.

[ She falls silent there for a few moments, glancing down at her hands once again as she recalls those moments. Those wonderful moments where she'd been able to do what she wanted, use her powers as much as she wanted, and no one was around to get hurt... ]

...It was nice, to be able to use them as I wanted again. But now that I'm here, in such close quarters, it brought back the feeling of needing to isolate.

You did?

[ The question comes out quietly, surprise clear on her face as she looks back across at Bruce. The idea that someone with powers is unable to use them willingly is strange to her, but of course, she's never known anyone else with powers so it's not exactly something she's ever considered. She never had any reason to before now.

Brow furrowing slightly, she nods a little, though it's somewhat hesitant. Like she's not exactly sure if it makes that much sense to her while at the same time making a small amount of sense. Sort of. ]

To an extent, yes. The actual act of doing it, however, will be much more complex. I've never been particularly good at keeping a hold on my emotions, and the idea of changing them at will seems rather impossible.

[ Maybe it's something she can eventually do, though. Likely with a lot of training, but. The plan was already to work on gaining control, right? Admittedly, Elsa doesn't have much hope in ever being able to truly have that control, but it's still worth trying. ]

Not that I'm trying to have a negative view, it's just that I've always succumbed to my fear, so the idea of...not? It almost doesn't sound like a possible reality. If that makes any sense. ...I suppose I've never really been particularly hopeful.

[ A small humourless chuckle escapes her there as a sheepish expression settles across her face. It's sort of embarrassing being this frank with someone, especially someone she's only met twice now. Even if she does feel safe around Bruce. ]
