( open ) you are descended from animals

Who: Bruce Banner and anyone!
When: First half of March.
Where: Several places around the Moira.
What: A general catch-all if anyone wants to run into him on the ship since he won't be going down to the planet at all.
Warnings: None for the moment, will update if need be.
( a note: I'm good with both brackets and prose, so just pick whichever you prefer and I'll match! )

WORKING; SCIENCE DEPARTMENT.

Things seem a little calmer now, and while that leaves Bruce feeling wary of what might yet happen, it also offers him a semblance of peace and quiet. The planet seems interesting but not very welcoming, and for that reason he decides not to go down there and visit himself, opting for staying on the ship and spending a good amount of his time in the science department.

Especially as he starts getting data from the planet, helpfully provided by Clark, he dedicates himself to putting together a file with all the thorough information, as well as building a holographic projection of the surface, based on the images and sensors Clark got him. It's exciting work to him, even if it might not seem like much to some, and he can often be found at the department, poring over all the images and information collected.

TRAINING & MEDITATING; OBSERVATION DECK, GARDENS, RECREATION AREA.

It's not all work for him, though. He knows he can't push himself past a certain point of exhaustion, and even if things seem calm right now, it's always good to keep practicing a little, and keep himself well in check. His favorite meditation spot is the observation deck, and he's likely to be found there more often than not, sitting on a small blanket, legs crossed and hands resting over his knees. The gardens are also a close second, and he goes there a few times too, enjoying what little of nature they have on board.

At the recreation area, he makes use mostly of the pool about once a week, going for a few leisurely laps at odd hours, when the place happens to be empty - or close enough to it.

MEALS & DUTIES; MESS HALL.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons are spent doing his duties at the mess hall, clearing out tables and making sure there's always food at the buffet for people to help themselves. Outside of that schedule, he can be found there during meal hours, sitting by himself and more often than not reading some file or, most likely, a book.

WILDCARD; ANYWHERE.

Run into him on a corridor, spot him at the library, what have you - Bruce regularly visits different areas of the ship so it's not unlikely for him to be spotted in a myriad of different places. Go wild!

"I know it always seems like I'm rushing around, but that's only from your perspective. To me, I'm doing everything at a the same pace I was before the abilities kicked in. The rest of the world just slowed down." He's well aware how impatient he comes across as; a side effect of being faster than a normal person's perception of time. It's not that he doesn't feel the need to go, go, go. He does. But much of the time, he's taking as much time as he can force himself to. "I'd rather just put it down than bother flipping through too quick. If I don't like something, I don't see the point in keeping at it."

"Everybody does, honestly. It's not like any normal person is going to think about it." He shrugs, a childish way of showing he's done with that topic. He doesn't want to start unloading his issues about his powers on Bruce. As much as he likes to complain, he stays away from things he doesn't think anyone else would understand. "Right. You wouldn't, would you? Life's way to short to spend doing boring crap."

It's an easy topic change and one he's grateful for. He smiles, pulling his legs underneath him. "I had a Ping-Pong table in my room at home. I played a lot of games against myself. Listened to a lot of music, played arcade games, got involved in some after school stuff. You know, typical teenage stuff." It wasn't really lying to leave out the worst of his habits, right? "What about you? All science all the time, Doc?"

"I could have guessed the reading. You kind of give off that vibe, you know? " It was an intelligence thing. Peter was pretty sure that's why he always found Wanda and Billy at the library. "And there was the entire last five minutes of this conversation too. So. What do you consider classics? Because it it's anything from the 60's I'm going to feel old and that's weird when I'm not even legally able to drink yet. Or maybe you should say the good sixties movies because then I'll actually know what you're talking about."

"Ugh, doc. You're killing me. Even seventies? I can't believe stuff that was just out in theaters at home will end up classics." Of course that happened to everyone, in any decade. Stuff from his mother's childhood was already on the way to classic. "Wizard of Oz, huh? My kid sister loves that movie. Ah, Judy Garland. Worth watching it for her."

He snorts, shaking his head. "Aww, that sounds awful sweet Doc. And kind of depressing. But I'll give it to you for sweet."

"Mmmm. You like the girls from the golden age. Bet I can guess your type from that." He waggles his eyebrows exaggeratedly. It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that a teenage boy would look for an excuse to talk about girls. He's fairly obvious in that regard. "They're both good looking, yeah. More of a Brigitte Bardot or Claudia Cardinale kind of guy, myself."

"Everyone has a type. Anyone who tells you otherwise is hiding something," he says, with all the questionable wisdom of a teenager. Which is to say, none at all.

He laughs, clicking his tongue. He doesn't care how obvious his choices are. Or what they show is primary on his mind and how stereotypical he's being for his age. "I'm seventeen. That alone should tell you my type."

"Excuse me," Peter protests, standing and placing his hands on his hips. "That's slander. Or the other thing. Lie-bell. Sprinting implies short movements. I can keep the speed up for a long time. Running is more accurate."

He nods though, making a face. "But yeah. I kind of am a stereotype. But they had to get those from somewhere, right?"

"Uh, yeah?" It's clear he's joking. He finds nothing about it offensive. Stereotype or not, he's comfortable with himself. Bruce's additional commentary throws him off the laughter. Another one of the many moments from their conversation to make him react in embarrassment. He shrugs off the compliment, directing his smile toward the pool.

"Neither. There's still a lot of ship to run." He'd only stuck around this long in one place for Bruce anyway. If he was leaving, Peter would just find somewhere else to putter around until he was finally tired enough to sleep. He glances to Bruce. "Have a good night then."

Peter gives a lazy salute, adjusting his goggles around his eyes. His mind’s already on where else to go. Who else to bother. “Yeah, yeah. Scout’s honor. “He laughs. “Bye.”
