He doesn't blame her for looking so grumpy about the whole thing - that machine is strange and slightly disturbing, and he's both certain that it's perfectly safe and suspicious that it's going to do something awful to her lungs - but that doesn't make it much easier to approach her. He does his best to smile and look pleasant, but he's a teeny bit cowed.
"I have to take your blood pressure," he says apologetically, holding up the cuff.

"I have no more idea how that device works than any of the others, but go ahead." She sounds more resigned than annoyed, even if she doesn't entirely keep her irritation at the situation from her tone. Her lungs are clearly working hard to come up with enough air for speech, her voice weaker than usual.
"I'd be fine now," she remarks, as conversationally as she can manage. "I'll take my medicine and sit still for the rest of the day, I'd just rather do it in the garden than the med bay."

"It squeezes your arm and...that shows how your blood is moving," he explains a little lamely, rambling in the hopes that it would help her feel better and trailing off because he doubts she really cares. Instead, he switches to fastening the cuff around her arm, glancing back at the door as if he might spot one of the more senior doctors wandering through it. "I'll ask Curre if she thinks you can go. I'm not sure if I can do it myself..."

"I'm sorry. I hate being stuck in a hospital. I always did, and an epidemic a few years ago only made that worse. I'm just grouchy."
She took some medicines from her own kit, mostly stabilized before she limped her way into med bay for a second look from more highly trained healers. It's her own fault if she's impatient; she should have either avoided med bay altogether or been prepared to sit through exactly this.
