As a general rule, Elizabeth thinks about doing things before she does them. She's only impulsive when her emotions come into play, but her safety she usually thinks deeply about. But she's not used to being in zero gravity, so when she starts drifting off of the hull and away, her tether drifting behind her, she starts flailing her arms and quietly panicking.
