SHIP LIFE
”Working together not only helps us move more quickly, it changes the nature of what we can undertake.”

The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and various machines line the walls on either side, though they are not accessible from where you stand. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay.

Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and sign a contract that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters.

MERO DECKNOMO DECKMORO DECK

Crew members exposed to Exuo will notice that effects are slowly beginning to taper off. However, most will still continue to feel some agitation over the smallest things. Perhaps a visit to the UV beds will lighten that mood of yours.

MINI RECEPTION
Orders have been sent down to the kitchen to prepare something small but fulfilling for the entirety of the crew as a way to thank them for their hard work gathering supplies and returning to the Moira mostly unscathed. The mess hall has been decorated—kind of. There are small, tidy bows stuck to the backs of chairs and “party favors” spread out across the tables. These favors make a room smell sweet but are otherwise harmless. As a gift from Thán, he has provided the crew with a treat of sorts in addition to the foods the kitchen has prepared. All crew scheduled for morning shifts in the kitchen will have helped with these preparations. As a note, there is also a soft, unfamiliar melody coming from an old radio on one of the tables. The captains encourage everyone to relax, have fun, and get to know one another better.

Other areas of the ship are also open to exploration! Privileges for crew ranked Tiruncula** are as follows: (1) shift in kitchen and/or mess hall duties can be skipped each week without repercussions.

"Me?" She vaguely gestures to herself, settling her weight on one hip as if getting comfortable. "A little while. A few weeks, just. They brought in a group of us and now...here's another one."

There's a slightly puzzled cant to her head as she she looks around at the group of new faces milling around, mixed with people she more definitely recognises.

"I didn't really expect they'd bring any more people here. Maybe they'll just keep bringing more until they have a full crew." A shrug. "These captains are better than the last ship I was on, but they're not telling us everything."

Maybe no one's asking the right questions.

"A few weeks?" he replied with a groan, sliding onto the floor and covering his face with his talons. "I can't be gone that long! What if my friends need me? What if I get back and something terrible happened to them because I wasn't there?"

There was a growing note of hysteria in his voice. Everything had happened so fast, and the situation was finally starting to sink in.

She can hear the panic in his voice, and his motions are universal - the distress is palpable. It makes her grind her teeth in sympathy, knowing what he's thinking, and how much that exact thing had weighed on her. People had needed her, her friends were back there, she couldn't leave them.

Now? Well, a person gets used to grief just like anything else. Not that a thought like that is going to help Starflight right now. She nearly reaches out to touch his...shoulder? Is that what it's called on a dragon? Who knows... But she's not sure if the gesture would be appreciated right now.

"Hey..." She's trying to sound encouraging, but really, even she can hear the helpless sort of misery in her voice. "Ah... Look, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I know. I don't know if they told you what they told us when we arrived, but apparently when the ship gets where it's going, we can leave. Maybe you can get back home then, but - I don't know.

She lets a sigh hiss out through her teeth and, a tightness seeping into her voice, "They've not told us much."

Starflight's response was a sad snort, curling up into a tighter huddle on the floor. It felt like his whole life was people not telling him things. Why should this be any different.

"That's a very NightWing thing to do," he observed bitterly, looking up at Tali, "keeping all their plans secret until the last moment. Orchestrating everything to their advantage without anyone knowing. If they hurt my friends..."

He shuddered. He couldn't even imagine it. They were his whole world, even just being away from them was almost more than he could bear.

It feels uncomfortable to be standing over him right now. Slowly, she moves next to the curled up form on the floor and sinks down to sit against the wall, knees brought up to her chest.

"I don't think they'll hurt your friends. Not the captains here." She doesn't know for sure, but it seems unlikely, and more than anything else she wants to believe that. "There's no reason to, you know? Besides, I don't know if they have the tech to even get to them."

The CDC - the organisation she was reluctantly recruited by before this - they would have. The threat of them destroying her whole planet if she put a foot out of line hung over her head constantly. Here? "At least they won't destroy the homeworld" has become the weirdest source of comfort she's ever had.

"NightWing?" she asks after a brief moment's pause. She's not sure if distracting him from his current situation to talk about something else that seems upsetting is the best thing to do, but it's all she's got.
