The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and various machines line the walls on either side, though they are not accessible from where you stand. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay.
Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and sign a contract that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters.
MERO DECK ● NOMO DECK ● MORO DECK
☄Crew members exposed to Exuo will notice that effects are slowly beginning to taper off. However, most will still continue to feel some agitation over the smallest things. Perhaps a visit to the UV beds will lighten that mood of yours.

☄MINI RECEPTION
Orders have been sent down to the kitchen to prepare something small but fulfilling for the entirety of the crew as a way to thank them for their hard work gathering supplies and returning to the Moira mostly unscathed. The mess hall has been decorated—kind of. There are small, tidy bows stuck to the backs of chairs and “party favors” spread out across the tables. These favors make a room smell sweet but are otherwise harmless. As a gift from Thán, he has provided the crew with a treat of sorts in addition to the foods the kitchen has prepared. All crew scheduled for morning shifts in the kitchen will have helped with these preparations. As a note, there is also a soft, unfamiliar melody coming from an old radio on one of the tables. The captains encourage everyone to relax, have fun, and get to know one another better.
Other areas of the ship are also open to exploration! Privileges for crew ranked Tiruncula** are as follows: (1) shift in kitchen and/or mess hall duties can be skipped each week without repercussions.

Kara Thrace l 'Starbuck' l Battlestar Galactica
[Waking up like this, it's disorienting. Something Kara hates. It's a different kind of disorienting from her own self inflicted drinking and smoking and sleeping around. This isn't just waking up in another's bunk or having them in hers for a night. No, this is much worse.
Which is why she is almost instantly trying to question and argue, protesting once she gets over the initial confusion and dizziness. She'somehow, thankfully, not so disruptive that she's immediately thrown in the brig upon her waking but it's likely a rather close thing if anyone else is nearby and hears her.]
Hey. Hey! I don't need your scans and I don't care where you say my room is, I want answers! This is not Galactica. Where am I?
[And where is her thumbring? Her Arrow? This better not be the Cylons. Could be, for all she knows, not aware of all the different models yet.]
Reception:
[Well, while things are not quite as desperately dire back home as it could be in regards to food or water - yet, Kara can't help but marvel at the spread laid out when she does make her way over, lured by the general meal time and the smell. Which is actual food and not algae crap or anything.]
Cute. They're throwing us a party. Just what the doc ordered, clearly. Music and everything, look at that. Please tell me this means I can get a drink!
reception
When someone approaches, though, he tenses, looking almost like he's raising a shield as he glances over to the woman - then around them, just to make sure she's talking to him, before he answers. ]
I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person. Sorry.
no subject
Then who should I be asking?
no subject
Someone who drinks, and who has been here longer than a day. [ He smiles a little tensely at her. ] I can't be any more specific than that.
no subject
[Of course he is. That would be too easy. Still, she can't and shouldn't just ignore him now because of that revelation. It's hardly his fault if he yet knows much if anything more than her, after all. She gives a shrug and goes for some of the more familiar looking food to try.]
I'm sure I can find someone else that might know. It's just I am not sure I recognize some of this and I don't want to accidentally end up sick or poisoned or something.
[For all she knows. Some of it could be dangerous and their generous hosts might not have any clue.]
no subject
[ Do cliché lines help right now? Well, they do help him. Better than his dry attempts at humor, at least, and it helps him feel just a little more grounded, especially when talking to someone new and completely unfamiliar to him. ]
No, I get that. Some of the food looks pretty weird to me too... not sure I'd feel safe, putting some of these things in my mouth.
[ Which explains why his plate only has a couple of different things, and only very small amounts of each. Precious little that he could recognize the look and smell, at least vaguely. ]
no subject
[So it's not surprising to her, at least. Over time she might even adjust more to the idea on trying some of the different foods she is less familiar with. But for now, she's sticking with what she can recognize and is more comfortable with.]
Still. Better than what we manage on Galactica.
no subject
[ Those, he definitely wouldn't touch. And he may not be used to the whole space travel or alien cultures, but he's smart enough to wrap his mind around the concept quickly, especially after finding himself on a space ship, of all places.
Her last words catch his attention more than the mention of colonies, and he looks to her curiously. ]
And what's that, Galactica? [ A ship, maybe, he wonders. Space travel might not be as strange and unfamiliar to her as it is to others here. ]
no subject
[Space travel is something they're obviously grateful for as a result. That the fleet, what remains of humanity, has a chance at least in finding somewhere else to settle and call home in that aftermath. She's used to it, piloting the Vipers, smaller fighter planes. It's just only more recently that they've been needed in actual combat against the Cylons.]
no subject
[ Some alien species might be into that, how is he to know? And while nothing on the plates and trays is trying to crawl away, some of it still doesn't inspire him with a lot of confidence. It'll take a while to get used to it.
He arches his eyebrows to her, gesturing a hand vaguely. ]
So, you're... used to this? Well, maybe not this exactly, but space travel, I mean.
no subject
[But that does get a laugh from her, before the reminders of home. Of her duty she now cannot succeed in given these guys took the Arrow she was supposed to be giving to the President. Still, not like there is a lot she can do about that from here. Not yet, anyway. There's a shrug as she takes another mouthful.]
Pretty much. Been a few months since the initial attacks now. And I was already on Galactica at the time when it happened.
[She hates them so much for what they did. The Cylons. Reducing humanity for 50,000 survivors. Still not sure this isn't something they're plotting.]
no subject
[ A guess, more than a question. Something for Bruce to wrap his mind around, when space travel isn't exactly a reality to humans, back in his world. Sure, they had the Chitauri popping up, with their own space ships and means of transport, but the human race doesn't have anything that can really compare. Not just yet, anyway. ]
We don't have anything like that. Well, we know there's life out there-- [ X-files theme playing in the background. I want to believe. ] -- but humans still have their feet pretty much planted on solid ground. Solid Earth ground.
Reception
[Tony settles beside her with a smirk. He's not touching the stuff again, but it's there. He nods to the odd canister on the beverage table.]
It's... not anything I'm used to. Strong. Alien. Taste like liquid hell, but it gets the job done if you're looking to forget or have a good time you don't aim to remember in the morning.
Also, welcome to the Moira with her crew of cooperative abductees. To boldly go and all that jazz. I just wish they'd asked before their feat of scientific magic snatched us from our universe. I'd have said yes, just after leaving a note to the misses. Fury doesn't like when he can't reach me. [A teasing smirk. Yeah, that would be funnier if she knew him.] And I guess a letter to the girlfriend, too.
no subject
It just might do the job then.
[She reaches for it, taking an experimental sip.]
Don't get me started on relationships. I don't have any special someone. Prefer it that way. Gets....messy. Complicated when feelings are involved.
[Well. There was Anders. Samuel T. Anders, the professional Pyramid player, but she left him and the rest back on Caprica with all those Cylons. Even if she promised to be back, she doesn't expect to find him or any of them alive if she does return. And prior to that there was Zac, who she got engaged to. But he got killed after she passed his flight test when she should have failed him.
So. Obviously, not the best track record. She prefers to keep it simple. No feelings, no entanglements. Just pleasure, one night stands.]
no subject
[Hi female him from ten years ago.]
Never thought I'd get tied down in that mess, but it happened before I knew what was going on. And by then...? [He shrugs.] I was her boss, now she's mine and I'm still trying to figure that out.
[He shrugs and picks up something that passes as finger food and pops it into his mouth, watching her reaction to the space liquor.]
You're new here, right? I'm Tony.
no subject
Ha! Wow. That's...that's something. I mean. I guess I'm more used to being the superior myself. I'm not looking for anything long term. Nothing serious. Even here. Especially here.
[At least. Not yet. If ever. Still, she makes a bit of a face at the drink but he's not wrong. It's strong. Does the job. And still tastes better than some of the swill they had back home. She wipes at the corner of her mouth, wiping off any traces of it at her shirt before extending a hand.]
Kara.
no subject
[Did he want anything long-term or serious before he got with Pepper? No, absolutely not. Now he was thinking about settling down with her, and that was a terrifying thought.]
Pleasure, Kara.
[He shakes her hand in greeting, brief, very business-style, then releases it.]
First time in space?
