When: February 10-19
Where: Avagi
What: Life support fails, and a team sets out. Check out this ooc post for more.
Warnings: Label your content.
Synce their arrival, Avagi's residents have been plagued by minor system failures. Faulty taskbots and infested crawlspaces, supply shortages and the floods last month. For the most part, they've coped admirably, and quality of life aboard the station is substantially improved from what it was. But even as the damage in the lived-in space is scrubbed away, more dangerous poisons have been building underneath. On February 10, the groaning from the walls will escalate to a harsh scraping, audible station-wide. Then silence falls as the filtration systems die completely: leaving all vents to begin spewing thick, black smoke. |
System Failures | ||
(February 10-19) |
Acrid and hazardous, the cocktail of gases emerging from the vents are the result of three centuries' toxin storage spilling over. A shallow breath can cause a coughing fit, but individuals who draw in too much of the toxic air will find themselves becoming dizzy, passing out, or worse. While effects may vary based on individual biology, all beings who require breath will find their lungs burning and their vision blurred. An hour after the initial failure, the lighting goes out too. With it, all station power: to computers, doors, and any system not hooked up to its own supply.Investigation: Survival (Home Team): |
Travel (Away Team) | ||
(February 12-19) |
When Avagi's current population first got here, it was clear that others had inhabited the space before. Recent developments have even proven that these others—or, perhaps, their descendants—might still exist elsewhere on the station now. With the crystals that might repair your home missing, diplomacy is no longer an optional consideration. It's time to meet the neighbors, and hope they come in peace.Navigation: Survival: Discoveries: |

"No?" Yeah, ready for what? Scowling at Rinzler, the Exo looks down at the space the glowing disks are held over, and then at the thing in his hand. He pauses, head cocking as his Ghost offers a suggestion, unheard outwardly, but it does have Cayde look down again. "Eh, I guess that might be it," he says, shrugging. Then he looks to Rinzler, and while his previous statement wasn't meant to be addressed to him, this is. "Also if we ever play team charades, I am not picking you."
He gets to a knee so he can be in better position to slip the sheet metal in place. Assuming they've guessed right. Worst arts and crafts teacher ever.
sorry for delay!
Charades being an unknown term, the reference largely goes ignored. But seeing as they are allied on this team at the moment... he'll wait for the other program to be ready before bringing his weapons down.
The disks plunge through the decking, crumpling the metal inwards between them as Rinzler drives through the surface and the insulation underneath. A quick jerk back, and he produces two more parallel cuts, creating a cut-out square a little smaller than Cayde's piece of sheet metal. At first, nothing happens, and Rinzler cautiously removes the surface square of decking. He reaches a little into the hole, testing the stability of the next compartment's ceiling(?)....
...when its seal breaks, and a whoosh of vacuum can be heard, air sucking through the gap. The enforcer jerks his arm free of the hole, mask raising urgently to Cayde. Now.
'sall right!
Nothing immediately happens with the cuts that Rinzler makes, and Cayde peers around the sheet metal he holds, head tilting as he watches. "So....is something s'pposed to hap-"
"Oh, that's not good. Cayde!" his Ghost prompts, and it's about then that Rinzler moves, directing a look towards him. The Exo shifts so that he can slam the sheet over the hole that's been made, hands sliding more towards its center as he holds it in place.
"Now what?!"

The mask tips up to Cayde. "Capable of merging?"
He nods down, indicating the metal and the floor. If the other program can travel through the surface himself, Rinzler assumes he can move other objects too.
(And congratulations. Three words.)

"You asking me to weld this thing shut? 'cuz that's not exactly my specialty." He highly doubts using his Golden Gun under the current circumstances would help either, on the account that it blows holes into things and not fixes.
