What You Get When You Mess With Us
Who: Erik Lehnsherr and James "Logan" Howlett
When: Two days after arrival
Where: the bar
What: Erik has some concerns about things Laura said to him. He wants to make sure Logan is aware.
Warnings: Drinking will be happening. Might get violent, who knows at this point.
[ It doesn't take much asking to find where Logan could probably be found. Erik steps into what is now serving as the bar, because this is apparently something they need, and blinks until his eyes adjust to the light.
The last time Erik saw Logan, he had just stabbed him with a generous amount of rebar and threw him in the Potomac to drown. But that was over a decade ago for Erik himself, and there had been some sort of time travel involved, which meant that he wasn't even sure if this Logan even experienced that.
This is why Erik never studied quantum mechanics. It's a silly science with no practical use worth mentioning. This conversation was going to be awkward no matter what.
The man he was looking for was much older and battered than the one he had met so many years ago, but approaching him in the bar still gave Erik an uncomfortable sense of déjà vu. And the familiar, irritating ache that Charles is not here this time. He slides onto a stool to Logan's left, leaving one between them, and clears his throat gently. He decides to dispense with awkward introductions. No matter what, Logan knows some version of who he is.
Damn quantum mechanics. ]
There is something we ought to discuss.

An issue that's walked in the bar and sat down right next to him. Fuck.
Silence stretches between them, uneasy, while Logan considers his glass of whiskey and triangulates how quick he has to be to smash the man in the face again. ]
Really.
[ Tightly wound, closed off. He keeps the suspicion from his voice, but not the acerbic tone. ]
It better involve the best route to the nearest airlock.

Erik reaches over the bar to find a glass for himself. ]
In a manner of speaking. But more specifically it involves a young lady I am given to understand is your daughter. She said some things to me that I feel you should be aware of.

[ Good news, Erik officially has Logan's full attention, and his hackles are up. ]

The last we spoke was in Paris, 1973. You didn't mention a daughter. And besides, she sought me out.

Have a flat glare, impatient. ]
And what did she say?

Erik makes a note not to mention D.C. It's entirely possible he doesn't know or doesn't remember, and either way Erik is fairly certain his life on this station will be much easier if Logan is kept ignorant about that particular event.
Logan's hostility doesn't fade, of course, but he is willing to continue talking which is all Erik needs at the moment. ]
She wants to leave. She thinks I will go with her. She has a fairly extensive plan for how to accomplish this already involving my help and a shuttle.
