Yes. Intimidate her. Definitely. She's definitely not trying to impress her or anything.

The little gem beams wickedly at Jasper's reaction, chuckling smugly. "Of course, this may only be a fraction of what you can accomplish on sheer natural strength, but you do have to admit that the technology is rather impressive."

[stompadour]

"Yeah, it's not bad," Jasper agrees, looking thoughtfully at the suspended rack of weights. She glances back at Peridot with a hint of an amused grin. "Too bad you can't use those things to arm wrestle me."

[peridork]

She goes wide-eyed, and her hold on the weight rack wobbles a little bit before she gets a grip and glances away, blushing a little.

"Nyeh...ehehheh... ehhh." Peridot clears her throat, looking kind of uncomfortable. "Nehh. I think you'd probably break my gauntlet, if I were to accept such a challenge."

[stompadour]

Jasper really does feel it's a shame that she can't – it would be sort of nice to be able to relate to her on that level, even if it was just through equipment she was using. Not for any weird reasons, though. It would just, you know. Be nice. There aren't any other gems here – no one she can really throw down with – and Peridot's got that sort of vigour that would make it...

Well. No real point reflecting on that.

"Might break you," she muses, frowning. That wobble of the weight rack was a little disconcerting, though; she nods to it. "You can put that down, you know."
