Who: Adam Parrish, OTA
When: Throughout May
Where: St Monmouth + Auto repair shop in Kauto R2, & a Kauto R1 prompt
What: A catch-all for Adam's work at the auto repair shop. If you have something, bring it by, he's probably there if it's a week day and the sun is up. Also, prompts for St. Monmouth property.
Warnings: Will be in subject headers
[ Garage - R2 ]
[ Adam's no longer working himself to the bone to build his tiny house in less than two weeks, working at the shop a few hours before sunrise and after sunset. He's now set more regular hours. Monday-Thursday, 10a-2pm, lunch from 2pm-3pm and then 3pm until he's satisfied that he worked enough. He usually closes up the shop around 6 or 7 unless he's caught up in a project.
There's less joy in the work than there used to be. He goes to pass time, which is largely why the schedule has become so regimented rather than chaotic as it usually had been in the recent past. He'll still give half a smile and greeting when someone comes in and make sure to do the best work possible.
Unless someone's made lunch plans with him, he's likely in the back room acting like he's taking a nap or studying from books that are covered in notes, dog-eared and random papers sticking out through the books. He's not likely to talk about what he's working on with anyone. To be honest, he's not completely sure of how he'd even come to explain it anyway.
You might catch him at the noodle shop now and then, having a beer with a meal before he'd return to work. That's rarer but possible all the same. ]
[ St. Monmouth - R2 ]
[Adam doesn't spend much time anywhere on St. Monmouth that isn't within the locked confines of his fence. The fence is taller than anyone on the property with a locked gate that only three people, including Adam, have a key for. Knocking isn't likely to get you much of a response but perhaps texting will.
Often at night there's the scent of a bonfire and the hints of it on the other side of the fence. You might notice Skippy (his little black lamb) or Floppy (his giant flemish rabbit) exiting or entering through a small door made for them. If he's home his Hondayota is parked to hide the small doorway.
You might catch Adam infrequently near the Cabeswater greenhouse. If one goes unnoticed, it'd be clear the exhaustion and depression that envelopes Adam lately but that he usually is masking. He tries to make sure to only venture away from his own house whenever others should be busy or asleep. He never goes in the greenhouse, just paces near it as if that would help with his woes. ]
[ Region 1, mid-late May ]
[ After a shopping trip with Andyr in Region 1, Adam realizes that he quite likes it there. There's a sense of brief relief and freedom the almost feeling of being able to forget everything. It doesn't work after a few hours but every once in a while on the weekend he makes his way up for an afternoon. He's never looking to do anything in particular, always trying to find the cheapest activities.
He'll search for museums and used bookstores. Adam can be found reading at a cafe or wandering through whatever patch of green park there might be. In truth, all he's truly looking for is a cure to the alone feeling he has more and more often but even though he'll sometimes study someone else who's at his location looking just as alone as him he never quite has the courage to strike up a conversation. ]

It's not exactly what she'd call "home" yet. Maybe because she doesn't want it to be home.
Today, however, she makes her way out to Adam's work sometime in the early afternoon, with a large tote bag hanging off of one of her arms -- the canvas front was something Blue had long ago attacked with an embroidery needle, but to not much avail. -- clearly heavy and packed full with things. ]
Can you catch a break? [ Blue pokes her head inside of the garage curiously. ] I brought us some lunch.

Give me like 5 minutes?
[ Because you know he wants to finish the task at hand even if his stomach growled at the mention of lunch. ]

She notices him as she does all others. A dinstinct scent. A path. But unlike most, he comes. And goes. And comes. And goes. And then lingers, maybe noticing her. Or had he noticed from the start? She doesn’t know. Doesn’t wish to care. But it is in such a moment as well that she had found friendship in Angel. This could be just another such opportunity, could it not? Another friend, someone to trust.
The next time he draws near, she looks toward him, the recognition of his presence clear in her eyes. He is not so much a mystery in this place any longer. But he isn’t unwelcome.]
Hello. [She offers it as kindly as she can. It comes out a bit stiffly, but the greeting tapers softly as she nods along with it.]
