Who: Doctor Stephen Strange and Kurt Wagner.
When: Sometime ... close ... to the end of March? Urk!!
Where: Hospital in R1.
What: Kurt's doing volunteer work for the hospital and happens to run (literally) into Stephen.
Warnings: TW: for mentions of blood in the starter?
[Kurt's only been volunteering at the hospitals for about a week and slowly but surely, he's beginning to settle into some form of a rhythm. Volunteers don't have to worry about seeing much surgery, though he has seen blood and so far, he's been doing well at holding himself together; it's not so bad when one knows how to staunch the bleeding.
For the moment, he's been assigned delivery duty and while he could teleport, get it all done in less than an hour, he prefers the walking. There's also less of a chance of him offending someone with the sulfuric smell and lingering smoke, which might be some form of contamination in the hospital. He's not entirely sure how all of that works on Thisavrou, though. Better safe than sorry.
He's shuffling through the envelopes, murmuring to himself, completely unaware that he's stepping right into the path of a passing stranger. His head lifts, iridescent eyes flicking up just in time to see Stephen from his peripheral. Sadly, the blue mutant isn't quick enough to stop himself from bumping into the doctor, a few of the letters in his arms dropping to the floor, though that would be preferred to either of them falling.] Ach, mein Gott, I'm terribly sorry!
[After he's sure that the man he'd collided with is still standing, Kurt kneels to pick up the parcels, cheeks somewhat flushed with embarrassment as he peeks up from beneath his bangs.] I should have been watching where I was going.

Still didn't help with his habit of reading while walking. He could've sworn his senses had gotten better since his training. At least his reflexes were faster, managing to catch the tablet in a glowing gold bubble before it could hit the ground. As he straightens himself up, he takes a look at the young... blue man that had run into him. He can't help staring a little. Sorry, Kurt. To his credit, he shakes himself out of it pretty quick. ]
No, it's my fault. I wasn't looking, either.
[ He lets the tablet stay floating in the air as he kneels down and tries to help Kurt collect what he dropped. ]

Kurt shakes his head, chuckling softly at the fact they both find it courteous to apologize, regardless of who's fault it might have been.] I suppose we're both a bit clumsy today, [he ribs, looking back up after grabbing another letter, his eyes widening in surprise at the protective flaxen sphere around the device. Now, it would appear that both of them are staring for some reason or another. Sorry on his end, too?]
What is that?
[He motions to the conjured magic Stephen's controlling, although he's currently unaware that the older of them is the one doing it. With the technology Thisavrou has provided, he's assuming it's just that - something that goes along with the tablet.]
no subject
Oh. That's a floating spell.
[ A pause, ]
Or do you mean the tablet?
no subject
A floating spell?
[He blinks, scrutinizes the tablet within the circle and reaches to rub the back of his head.] I meant the golden sphere, but I'm not sure exactly what a 'tablet' is, either. I know of the TABs that we were all given on our arrival. Are they different?
no subject
Yeah, a bit.
[ Still kneeling on the floor, he moves one hand and the sphere floats over in front of him. ]
The golden sphere is the spell. The tablet inside--
[ He moves his other hand around the bubble and it disappeared in a flurry of golden yellow dust as his other hand catches the tablet. ]
Is a tool we use. See?
[ He holds it out to Kurt, showing him the screen and then x-rays he had been looking at on them. ]

[Kurt turns to watch the hovering tablet, ruby-tinted irises twinkling with amusement. What a delightful sort of power - almost like Wanda's in a way, but more intricate than the thin wisps of red.]
Oh! [proclaims the blue-skinned mutant, the spade of his tail twitching with anticipation. His eyes broaden when the magic disintegrates with a wave of Stephen's other hand, a breath of relief slipping free when the doctor catches the device.
He leans to better view the radiographs, curiosity piqued by the images scrolling across the screen.]
Ausgezeichnet--! Erhm, which is 'excellent,' pardon me.

You speak German?
[ That was... unexpected. Though he had noticed the accent. ]
no subject
He cracks a grin of his own, reaching his free hand out, then hesitating just before touching the screen. Probably best to ask before doing that, but Stephen mentions the German and Kurt instantly latches onto that topic..]
Ja, I do! I was raised in Germany, so it's my native language. English wasn't too difficult to learn, but one can never really rid themselves entirely of an accent.
no subject
Earth would not have been my first guess.
[ Adding, ]
No offense. I just... I've never seen anyone quite like you where I'm from.
no subject
None taken.
[A brief shrug, as nonchalant as he can manage with his arms full again.]
My appearance is peculiar, even by some of the aliens standards.
no subject
I don't know, I still think the ones with three noses take the crown for "peculiar".
no subject
[Oop. That doesn't seem like something to discuss in the middle of a hospital hallway, where there could possibly be alien patients.
Subject change!] I don't know if you have heard of them, but I'm what people call a 'mutant.'
