I don't think you have to worry about that. [Most of the dizziness and exhaustion had diminished within the first few weeks. There was always the chance of running herself ragged, or overusing her powers, but she had been exceptionally wary of both risks.]

[She held out her hand, resting it upon his arm and offering him a grateful smile.]

[He blinks down at her hand, not uncomfortable but still surprised at the contact. It only takes him a moment to smile back, as much as he's struggling to find a balance between self-restraint and the sweet, sweet crack that is feeling wanted.]

[After getting a decent look at her following all his avoidance of eye contact, something of concern does catch his attention.]

[The question made her blink in surprise, and she glanced at him with her head tilting to the side. No, she hadn't slept well but as she had thought earlier... it wasn't like it would be exceptionally obvious.]

You just look... more tired than usual? [Is it rude to tell a woman she has chronic bags? Is it less rude if she logically already knows this? Hopefully not.]

I'm afraid I just always look that way. [She laughed, albeit slightly awkwardly. The good news was that they'd gotten significantly less obvious since she'd arrived.]

You should have seen them when I got here. At least now I've been getting into a habit of sleeping more. [A beat.] Most of the time, at least.
