savrii traditions

⋆ With an increase in visitors this month, the Savrii have made several attempts to ease the transition by researching particular activities that their guests might be familiar with. However, due to the lack of proper information provided on some of these, the rest has been filled in with variations of known Savrii traditions as well as those from other worlds. Beginning on the 20th, everyone who visits the Ingress Complex will be given small capsules with very specific instructions of do not ingest. These small things can be planted in soil and yield unexpected results! Other noticeable differences across the planets will vary from fliers and other sources of advertisements depicting an odd-looking and very tentacle-like infant denoting this month as “Sweets and Sweeter”, gifts of tiny chocolate hearts that are literally chocolate-coated meat hearts made from a common lizard found on Chioni, and commemorative glasses with a special drink inside that compels one to speak a blunt and possibly uncomfortable truth to the person they’re with.

⋆ Located in R3, the natives of this region have filled the air with love—quite literally. A special chemical released from the rare flowers that sometimes grow in the trees has bloomed, causing the moods of those who breathe it in to lift and their inhibitions to lower. The effects can range from causing someone who isn’t normally open to be very flirty to incensing an individual to make the worst decision of their life. Once an individual leaves R3, the effects of the gas will subside after about an hour. While visiting, however, join the natives in their annual Golden TangleSnake Hunt in an attempt to catch the yellow-tailed Tanglesnake and win a prize for your sweetheart!

⋆ Love Is Forever. To help all new visitors acclimate to Thisavrou and its Sweet Month, a few long-time residents bring out their own traditions in hopes of garnering enthusiasm and promoting kind, loving acts. On the morning of the 21st, every person (no matter where they live on Thisavrou) will find a heart with a pleasant message by their door. There’s only one problem; the hearts aren’t made of paper, they’re real (some form of alien animal hearts not native to Thisavrou). That very same day, a married couple is found outside their home with an arrow (a big one) shot through their chests, pinning them together. This occurs three more times before it is reported to the Savrii - intermediaries are dispersed to help find any information, and anyone looking to help stop more deaths from happening can ask an intermediary for facts. Characters can investigate to find the culprits and learn their motives.

( OOC Info: If you thread out the investigation and you get to a point where you need clues or direction, then please PM savmods and we’ll give you some plot! This goes for both the heart and arrow sections of the prompt. )

⋆ Four Minutes. This one is what it says on the tin—a round of speed dating that occurs over the TABs and in-person. On the 20th, a notification pops up on all TABs noting a date and time (that evening) for all people to come to. At this event, TABs are synced up, and everyone who attends will be sat at tables with one other person. They will be given four minutes to get to know them. If you decide you want to see them again, mark yes on their profile on the TABs, and if not, hit no. Don’t worry though, whether you’ve got matches or not, the event-runners will be sending out random suggestions of who to go out with! If you accept, they’ll pay for a luxurious evening. At the end of the evening, all matches will be sent to your character’s TAB, and whether you pursue anything further is up to you.

( OOC Info: the speed dating event at the beginning is up to the player to decide the details. You can thread out random meetings or being matched up after or even a date that you arrange with a match a week from now. The sign-ups below are for the random match suggestions. If you sign your character up, they’ll be given a match and a date, completely paid for. )

⋆ Sleep On It. Even the Savrii seem to have an old wives' tale about finding one’s true love. A mixture of herbs were bundled together and placed under a pillow, allowing the person to dream of their soulmate that night. A Savrii, who found the tale romantic, synthesized a mixture of herbs that, when certain steps were followed, lets the user have a vision of themselves with the person that they can find the happiest life with. Step one: Take the herbs in hand and twist until the bundle snaps, it’ll smell of lavender and honey. Step two: Lift pillow and place bundle underneath. Step three: Sleep. Step four: Not all results are conclusive; you may have seen your soulmate, someone you hate, someone you have strong feelings for, or some might have dreams that make no sense at all. The only common thing is that the dream will only feature one other person. Step five: Go find that person and tell them what you saw! Whether something comes of this or not is up to fate.

I'm also concerned... and "targets" is a fair description in this case.

Has anyone told you anything yet? Have you been able to check out the scenes?

I've only seen the scenes second-hand. Nothing up close.

[The way he's being stared down is rather odd. It's like he's been working on the case for a week despite it happening recently.]

And nothing new's been discovered from the people I've asked. Anything on your end?

Nothing yet, but I think it would be a good idea to see the scenes first-hand.

[Someone interested in looking into the entire scenario could be a fellow investigator, in which case it would be useful to take their measure. On the other hand, they could also be a culprit... so many killers try to insert themselves into the investigation somehow. Still, L leans more towards the former than the latter -- there are better ways of inserting yourself than standing in the street trying to question passers-by.]

Did you receive anything this morning? An unexpected present?

[Venom did his best to avoid the scene of the crime as an assassin. He always walked away clean, his weapon hidden in plain sight. So actual investigation and trying to assist is new. And it's not as easy as he hoped.]

I did. Bartholomew was making noises so I went to check on him. And that's when I saw the... heart that was pinned to the door.

[Thinking about all that blood gave him the chills.]

We had the same thing. I've already had it examined... the heart wasn't human, or from any other creature known here. Was there a message with it?

[OOC general note: Uhoh! Wow! There are actually four dead couples, eight murdered people -- I can read. Pretending the numbers were right from the beginning from here on out!]
