The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and various machines line the walls on either side, though they are not accessible from where you stand. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay.
Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and sign a contract that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and into the main hall with specific instructions not to leave.

☄MAIN HALL ( 09.01 to 09.03 )
After everyone is gathered together, you learn that these are your accommodations for the night. The captains explain that the Moira is not readily suited for such a large influx of people, and that this is only temporary. Placed around the room are a variety of blankets, sheets, and mats in lieu of beds, and crates of MREs have been provided along with H2O hydration kits. Some time in the “morning hours”, all MIDs will receive a message designating rooming assignments and areas of the ship that are open to exploration.
GALLEY ● MESS HALL ● REC AREA
All remaining areas accessible to crew members are open later in the “evening hours”. Crew are also informed that the Moira is approximately two days from their current destination.

From a distance, the planet’s reddish atmosphere slowly becomes more transparent the closer the Moira ventures, and mountain ranges, volcanic fields, valleys, ice caps, canyons, deserts, and impact craters are visible in stark detail. The remnants of a lone moon hangs in its outer orbit and impedes the ship’s ability to dock close to the planet’s surface. As the crew prepares to disembark, there are noticeable changes in gravity as well as some disturbances in energy output.
☄EXPLORATORY EXCURSION I ( 09.04 to 09.11 )
Due to unstable atmospheric conditions, crew members must utilize the transporters located in the Cargo Bay to descend to the surface. Each craft holds upwards of six passengers and is piloted remotely via Navigation. Once it lands, orders will be sent to MIDs detailing mission directives. These include: scouting surrounding areas for potential threats, determining if the mile-long road from the transporter to the nearest inhabited area is free of hazards, and assessing local friendliness.
Planetary Environment Details
● The air is breathable. However, there is a pleasant sweetness to it that generates an overall invigoration.
● Vegetation is sparse due to dry and windy weather patterns. It’s dusty, and the ground itself is rather gritty in texture.
● The initial temperature feels hot and causes the skin to prickle with sweat. Yet, the longer one is exposed to the elements, the less you are inclined to notice.
● There is an overall lack of civilization, and what populace there is remains centralized in one area. Crew members may stumble across the occasional explorer returning to their own ship; they are friendly and welcoming but also eager to leave.
● The sun does not seem to set. Even in the “later” hours of the day, it is still as bright as it had been at “noon”.
☄EXPLORATORY EXCURSION II ( 09.12 to 09.17 )
A thriving marketplace that was found during the initial search has been deemed an appropriate place for trade and much needed supplies. Crew members are encouraged to engage in local customs while continuing to maintain their current duties aboard the Moira, and they must assist in the delivery of goods to the transporter. They are more than welcome to explore this new area.
The Marketplace
● There is no monetary system in place; if there is an item you want, trade for it. (Locals will accept anything as payment.)
● Booths, shops, and tents line both sides of the pathways weaving throughout the area. Signs with written language are not recognizable; however, MIDs will translate any spoken languages so they are understood. Vendors are an eclectic mix of species, and not all of them are humanoid in form as they are from varying parts of the universe.
● The smells of foreign foods are everywhere. Yet, that familiar sweetness seems to occasionally overpower it. It is also loud as others bustle about their business.
● Natives are not unkind, but they are not as overly welcoming as strangers in the market are. They are quiet, reserved, and helpful to some extent. They are easily recognizable by the plain masks and hoods worn over their faces.
●Seedy areas are found in the depths of the market. Drug and sex trades are not uncommon but not openly displayed.

Tony smirked. That was certainly a colourful way to look at everyone, he had to admit. "I know at least one of those mice in there is a rat in disguise. Good guy, though. But he could go a few rounds with my suit here with nothing but a shield as his weapon and protection. And what about me? Am I a mouse or a rat?"
Out of his pocket, he produced a small, rectangle of glass with a white boarder that was thicker at one of the narrow ends than the other. "FRIDAY, send my HUD feed to my Stark phone." The glass lit up with blue information as it scrolled across it. "Thank you." He brought up a recording of his battles in this armour, tapped the screen and a small holographic display appeared above it that he expanded to a 12x12 inch view. Without audio, so as not to startle her again, he played a recorded detonation of the device she held in her hand to show the blast yield. Heat readings scrolled across the outer edge of the screen with each frame-by-frame, increasing as well as radius expansion.

"You? Someone who's trying way too hard right now," she answered gruffly. Not jealous, not jealous at all.
Rinth won't even go into how big the weapons the legions need to meet the same level of destruction. Some were smaller, more streamlined, but those weren't common and most definitely not tiny. Again, more like what you'd find in an Asuran compound. Irritating thought, that, though she'll still offer the missile back, tempting as it is to keep.
"Sure wouldn't mind knowing what goes into those," she added, fishing for whether or not he was actually that chatty. She also jerked a thumb back towards the suit. "And that, only it looks like someone else fried your fancy tin can."
There. Upgraded from tin can to fancy tin can.

Tony let out an amused scoff when she needled lightly for information. "Insulting someone isn't how to gain favour into their work." But his tone was still amused, rather than irritated. "Unfortunately, you're not the only one who wants the specs for my toys. And I'm sure you're a good gal and all, but I don't let just anyone in on those secrets. They tend to get used against me when I do."
His expression dropped only slightly, a lot of the amused sparkle leaving his eyes. "Yeah. I refer you back to point A. I had an idea. This idea was supposed to protect the world. Instead, it went homicidal and tried to kill everyone and it really, really hated me." He gestured to his suit and shrugged helplessly. "Not my most shining moment. Things got a little dicey."
"But," He held out his arm, palm up, and the armour parted at odd seams to allow him to withdraw his arm and reattached the pieces to the main suit. "does the lovely lady have a name? I might be a little more open to discussing some of the suit's tech if I knew your name. I'm Tony."

Her lip curled in disdain when he mentions the suit being meant to protect the world, then turned back to lean in towards it. Reaching up to the monocle-like contraption that was strapped across left eye, there came a serious of clicks, one lens rotating out, another one in, then again, and again, until she got the right magnification she was searching for. So not actually a monocle, nor an eyepatch.
This time she won't jump at the suit moving on mental command, either. She would lean out of the way to let it pass, turning to watch the armor reattach itself curiously before returning to examining damage.
"Lovely lady, huh?" So he got a few extra points on being the first to guess her gender correctly. "Rinth Ghostshot, Iron Legion, Ghost War--" It was an automatic introduction, the way she began rattling all that off, right up until the last part. She stopped mid-word, biting it off. The grim expression that crossed her face might be difficult to tell apart from all of her other expressions thus far, alien as she was compared to humans. It won't linger. "Just Rinth is fine."
More importantly.
"Any idea on what you're going to need to fix this hunk of junk?" Again with the insults. That wasn't about to change. "Because I'd rather know what to keep an eye out for over having you trying to strip shit off the ship without help."

Tony did have an unfair advantage on the insight of her gender. He'd suspected, but wasn't sure. He got along better with females than he did with males, too much posturing. But he also just had a feeling. One that was confirmed when he brought the helmet's HUD up on his phone and glanced at the bioscan. She appeared to be in good health, but he didn't have much to compare it to. It was still handy information to have in case they were attacked and she wound up injured.
However, when she introduced herself, the words 'Iron Legion' did catch him with a visible start that he tried to hide. He tried to force the discomfort out of his posture to cover up the fact that that made him a bit uncomfortable.
"This here?" He rapped a knuckle against the chest plate of the suit. "It's called the Iron Man Suit. I'm also called Iron Man. I didn't pick the name, people just started calling me Iron Man and it stuck. So I built a small group of drones to help keep people out of danger when something too big to handle got loose on the public. That small crew was called the Iron Legion." He shrugged, offering up the information. "Nice to meet you, Rinth."
Again, he looked amused, relaxing out of that discomfort. "The armour's made of a gold-titanium alloy. I'm not going to go scrapping pieces of the ship for a suitable replacement. Promise. I'm more focused on getting it recharged. Even with the chipped paint job, it's still battle-ready. Nothing penetrated the armour, so most of this is just aesthetic. A slight structural weakness, but still sealed tight enough." He paused and looked her over carefully before putting the next offer out there. "...if you," He began, speaking slowly. "would like to be around when I do start repairs, I could always shoot you a message on this thing." He tapped the MID on his wrist. Olive branch?

"The Iron Legion is one of the three legions that make up Charr society," she explained in turn. Since he'd been open enough about what Iron Legion meant to him, she saw little cause not to do the same. Rinth was proud of where she came from, in any case, and that much could be told with how she straightened up closer to her true height (apparently much taller than when in her usual slouch), chin tilted high.
"We build. Even those who aren't dedicated to engineering build. It's in our blood. We built the Black Citadel on the graves of our enemies and we will do the same again when we finally take Ebonhawke." A lot of words that, ultimately, she knew Tony wouldn't understand. The sentiment, however, might carry through. They build and they're dangerous, two important facts.
But all that said, Rinth sat back on her haunches so she could maintain standing tall and balance at the same time, arms folding across her chest as she did so. The offer he extended her was a curious one, one she knew she would never have made in return. Intriguing as a human engineer might be, he was, after all, still human. Still, after a short moment of consideration, she offered him a nod.
"And I would like that. Your suit is interesting enough to spare the time for, I'll give you that much."
no subject
"So, all of you Charr in the Iron Legion are still mechanically inclined? But you specifically specialise in engineering, is that right? A race of builders?" Well, most of the sentiment carried through. Tony was never very good at picking up on danger. "I wish that was some pace I could visit. Even though, I'm getting the feeling I wouldn't be very welcome there." Just by the way she seemed to talk about humans and to him.
"Then I'll drop you a line when repairs are underway."
