[Ronan didn't hesitate. Almost as soon as they arrived, he was making arrangements and picking out a plot of land. No payment necessary as long as he agreed to feed the locals? Fine. Perfect. He'd signed whatever he had to and picked out his favorite place in the lot, then he'd laid down in the grass and dreamt.
When he closed his eyes, he wasn't sure what he would build. The idea of "home" conjured up so many images in his mind. He thought of the Barns, of course, but also of Henrietta as a whole. He thought of Monmouth Manufacturing and dusty old books and the scent of mint. He thought of St. Agnes and its magnificent stained glass and the cramped coziness of Adam's bedroom above the office. He found Cabeswater sprouting up in the strangest places as the landscape shifted around him, spilling out of the walls and claiming rooms all for its own. Corridors and staircases emerged out of his memories, leading him through a maze of rooms both familiar and not-quite. In the end, when Ronan stepped outside to take a look at his work, he found he'd made himself a palace of nostalgia. Then he imagined a set of house keys, turned the lock of the front door, and woke up.
Ronan woke with his head resting on the welcome mat, sprawled across the front steps, gazing up at the spire of what he would dub St. Monmouth. It would be the main building of several he'd end up creating. Their new home.
Like God, he didn't rest for several days. Every time he shut his eyes, he devoted himself to dreaming something new. A farm needed animals and crops and barns and feed and equipment. Home needed streams and fish and bridges and flower gardens and glittering lights. He let his imagination run wild, and this meant that his dream things often emerged strange and senseless, but that reminded him of his father, which made the place more beautiful.
When he was finally satisfied - although not completely finished - he invited the others to join him.]

[She's so amused right now and it's pretty damn obvious.]
We can go eat in your room though, if his 'massive cock' bothers you that much.
no subject
[ Still laughing, he reaches for the pizza box to flip the lid shut again. ]
no subject
[Daisy clearly gets enjoyment out of embarrassing him. Finishing off the rest of her slice as she followed him, Daisy moved to take his beer from him so he was just holding the box instead.]
How many floors does this place have?
no subject
Four. And don't say I didn't warn you when you end up walking in on Andyr's dick just hangin' there like a sad joke. 'Cause it'll probably happen at some point.
no subject
Wait. Andyr? He lives here?
no subject
Andyr, yeah. The weirdo with the fish fetish. You know him?
no subject
...That actually explains a lot.
[Daisy looked behind her as if he would suddenly appear.]
no subject
He did, huh?
no subject
[Annnd suddenly reminded of Fitz and Simmons and doing her best to not look sad about it. Might be failing, just a little bit.]
How far away is your room anyway?
no subject
[ And he's about to turn and continue leading the way, but hesitates. Uncertain how to read her subtle change in expression - not so subtle that he doesn't notice, though - his smile fades slightly. ]
...He wasn't too weird, was he?
no subject
[Oh, right. Andyr. Daisy forces(although it doesn't look forced) a smile on her face.]
Oh no. He's just really enthusiastic about fish, and apparently likes walking around naked.
no subject
Relaxing back into a smile at Daisy's returning to smile, he turns and finally does continue leading the way to the staircase. He lets out a snort. ]
Yeah, "enthusiastic" is one way to put it. More like he's got a weird boner for them.
[ A glance back at Daisy as he rounds the staircase to start up them. ]
Must mean you're in his good books, though.
no subject
[Daisy didn't mind him, really, he was a nice guy. Going up the stairs behind him, Daisy took another swig of her beer.]
They could've at least installed an elevator.
[Obviously she's kidding.]
no subject
A look thrown over his shoulder at Daisy as he trudges up the stairs. ]
Wow. So lazy.
[ Followed by a teasing grin. ]
no subject
[Of course she's teasing him. When they reached the top, Daisy looked around.]
That was like climbing Mt Everest.
[Isn't she so hilarious?]
no subject
[ Smiling at her now he's standing on the landing with her. Just teasing. He gives a jerk of his head for her to follow him down the hallway, and turns to start walking to his room. ]
What's your place like, anyway?
no subject
[Mostly because it meant she would be 30 this year. Eugh.]
Small. Kind of drafty, but I like it. Obviously not as cool as this place, but, it's what I could afford.
no subject
I'll have to swing by and check it out sometime. [ Quickly adding: ] I mean, y'know, if you're cool with that.
[ They reach a big, heavy industrial looking door, which Jesse slides open. The door trundles with a metallic rumble, revealing Jesse's bedroom . It's messy, with some clothes strewn around on the floor, a giant obnoxious sound system in the corner, a huge TV, video game console, large wardrobe with the doirs haphazardly left open and full of way more clothes than Jesse has ever owned since being pulled through the Ingress. The room is eclectic, seeming entirely like the kind of room Jesse would have yet fashioned entirely by Ronan's surreal dreaming. Literally made for Jesse, with Jesse in mind.
He announces with a small flourish of his hand for her to enter ahead of him: ]
Now I can say welcome to my crib.
no subject
I'm cool with that.
[She's not sure what she expected his room to look like, but somehow, it wasn't this. Stepping inside, Daisy turned on the spot once she was out of his way.]
Wow. Uh. It's very white.
no subject
Yeah. Not my usual colour scheme. But, hey. Apparently, Heaven is white, too, so. [ A boyish, smartass look thrown over at Daisy. ] What can I say. An angelic room for an angelic guy.
no subject
[Well considering the only place to sit was the bed...]
Is it cool to eat on your bed?
no subject
Instead of answering her question, Jesse heads straight over to his messily made bed. He flops down onto it while holding the pizza box and casually stretches out onto his side. Setting the pizza box down, he stretches a hand to pat a space next to him while looking at Daisy. ]
Make yourself at home, yo.
no subject
Here.
[Daisy hands him his beer before taking one more swig of hers and setting it down beside her on the floor. Reclining on the bed, Daisy reached for another slice.]
Where did all of this stuff come from anyway?
no subject
Uh. [ Licking his lips, making it seem like he's just licking away the taste of beer and not stalling for a moment to wrack his brain for some kind of lie. ] Guess someone musta lived here before? The guys who found this place said it was abandoned, so I'm guessin'... some weirdo from some other planet that the Ingress musta pulled back home or something?
[ A deliberately clueless one-shouldered shrug while reaching down for a slice of pizza. ]
no subject
[Yeah she's noticed the way he dances around questions about this place.
Folding her pizza again, Daisy took a large bite out of it. The two of them could probably get through this box alone.]
