[Ronan didn't hesitate. Almost as soon as they arrived, he was making arrangements and picking out a plot of land. No payment necessary as long as he agreed to feed the locals? Fine. Perfect. He'd signed whatever he had to and picked out his favorite place in the lot, then he'd laid down in the grass and dreamt.
When he closed his eyes, he wasn't sure what he would build. The idea of "home" conjured up so many images in his mind. He thought of the Barns, of course, but also of Henrietta as a whole. He thought of Monmouth Manufacturing and dusty old books and the scent of mint. He thought of St. Agnes and its magnificent stained glass and the cramped coziness of Adam's bedroom above the office. He found Cabeswater sprouting up in the strangest places as the landscape shifted around him, spilling out of the walls and claiming rooms all for its own. Corridors and staircases emerged out of his memories, leading him through a maze of rooms both familiar and not-quite. In the end, when Ronan stepped outside to take a look at his work, he found he'd made himself a palace of nostalgia. Then he imagined a set of house keys, turned the lock of the front door, and woke up.
Ronan woke with his head resting on the welcome mat, sprawled across the front steps, gazing up at the spire of what he would dub St. Monmouth. It would be the main building of several he'd end up creating. Their new home.
Like God, he didn't rest for several days. Every time he shut his eyes, he devoted himself to dreaming something new. A farm needed animals and crops and barns and feed and equipment. Home needed streams and fish and bridges and flower gardens and glittering lights. He let his imagination run wild, and this meant that his dream things often emerged strange and senseless, but that reminded him of his father, which made the place more beautiful.
When he was finally satisfied - although not completely finished - he invited the others to join him.]

I can't take any credit for it. [ Everything here is Ronan's creation. Beside him there's a little lamb poking half hiding behind his leg and looking at the newcomer curiously. ]
Glad you made it.
no subject
Not even a little bit? [From the corner of his eye, he sees the tiny animal and has to bite back a gasp of surprise. As badly as he wants to kneel down and try to coax the lamb to him, the blue boy knows he has to resist - no reason in frightening the poor thing.]
Oh, thank you for inviting me! It's nice to see you again.
no subject
Yeah, of course. [ Adam smiles, watching as the lamb, named skippy, attempts to butt it's head against Kurt's hand. ]
no subject
And how have you b--? [The downy feel of Skippy's fur beneath his touch catches him off guard, causing his head to jerk in the direction of the baby animal. He blinks, breaks out into a grin and oh-so-carefully begins to scratch Skippy's ears.] Hallo, little lamb.
no subject
It makes Adam smile a bit. ]
You really haven't seen anything yet. [ There's so much on the grounds it would probably take more than one visit to show. ]
no subject
I guess that means you will have to show me around, ja? [Too much for one day or not, he seems bright-eyed and adventurous - ready to take in all that Adam has to offer.]
no subject
I suppose I've been good, you know. Normal...
[ He shrugs. It's not so much normal for space but it's his normal normal. ]
Yeah, of course. There's a lot to see.. you probably can't even see it all in one day. [ He's trying to figure out what the highlights of this tour should be. Ronan is actually better at showing his creation off. ]
no subject
Normal is nice. No gut news to be excited about, but no bad news means no problems.
[Not necessarily true, but that's how Kurt sees it.]
We don't have to start exploring right away. Would you prefer to go inside and you can show me around there first?
no subject
Yeah. You hungry at all? [ Adam questions and nods a little up a walkway toward the massive building that is St. Monmouth. It's part factory, part church and all parts home. ]
no subject
A little. [Sparing a glance down at the lamb again, he grins then turns his attention to the path and takes a few steps toward the building. It's huge - maybe even bigger than the mansion and he has to wonder how many people are actually living there.]
no subject
What kind of food you like?
no subject
Oh, uhm, [he hesitates, brings his attention back to his friend and smiles once more,] I'm not really picky. Fruit is my favorite, with anything sweet coming in at a close second.
no subject
Any of those suit you?
no subject
This should be fine! [And for emphasis, he pops a bright green grape into his mouth and faintly smiles.]
no subject
Great. [ And while Kurt is being all healthy eating fruit, Adam's eating a piece of cold pizza nodding toward the lounge area nearby to flop down into one of the seats.
He's really the worst tour guide. ]
no subject
Thank you. [He can't resist letting his grin widen as Adam motions over to the sitting area, moving to follow close behind him, then taking a seat that's close enough for them to chat amongst themselves, yet far enough away to not cause any awkwardness.]
This place seems to have everything you could imagine!
no subject
He's mindlessly eating the pizza, contemplating where to start the door though also content to just sit around and talk for a while. ]
Where are you staying?
no subject
With the smaller fruits gone, he takes a piece of the apple off with the claw on his thumb, hesitating just before placing it into his mouth to answer Adam's question.]
We actually live on the same planet! I'm located in Region five, at residence fifteen.
