[Ronan didn't hesitate. Almost as soon as they arrived, he was making arrangements and picking out a plot of land. No payment necessary as long as he agreed to feed the locals? Fine. Perfect. He'd signed whatever he had to and picked out his favorite place in the lot, then he'd laid down in the grass and dreamt.
When he closed his eyes, he wasn't sure what he would build. The idea of "home" conjured up so many images in his mind. He thought of the Barns, of course, but also of Henrietta as a whole. He thought of Monmouth Manufacturing and dusty old books and the scent of mint. He thought of St. Agnes and its magnificent stained glass and the cramped coziness of Adam's bedroom above the office. He found Cabeswater sprouting up in the strangest places as the landscape shifted around him, spilling out of the walls and claiming rooms all for its own. Corridors and staircases emerged out of his memories, leading him through a maze of rooms both familiar and not-quite. In the end, when Ronan stepped outside to take a look at his work, he found he'd made himself a palace of nostalgia. Then he imagined a set of house keys, turned the lock of the front door, and woke up.
Ronan woke with his head resting on the welcome mat, sprawled across the front steps, gazing up at the spire of what he would dub St. Monmouth. It would be the main building of several he'd end up creating. Their new home.
Like God, he didn't rest for several days. Every time he shut his eyes, he devoted himself to dreaming something new. A farm needed animals and crops and barns and feed and equipment. Home needed streams and fish and bridges and flower gardens and glittering lights. He let his imagination run wild, and this meant that his dream things often emerged strange and senseless, but that reminded him of his father, which made the place more beautiful.
When he was finally satisfied - although not completely finished - he invited the others to join him.]

[ He drops his hand away slowly, fingers grazing his shoulder and arm on it's way down. ]

I love you.
[He kisses Adam again, sweet and soft.]

Are you missing anything?
[He's an imperfect creator. There must be something he's overlooked that Adam needs. If he drifts off here with Adam, he should keep it in mind.]

More animals. [ It's only partially a joke. There are plenty of animals all around but they're definitely Ronan's and they're mostly outside aside from Chainsaw and Petra.
There's that part of him that still wants to ask for a place that belongs to him and Ronan only but he holds back, it doesn't feel fair. ]

What's missing? Should we have pigs?
no subject
Maybe something for inside, though.
no subject
[He punctuates this with a nibble at the crook of Adam's neck.]
no subject
Keep the pigs outside.
[ It's a quick decision as Adam tilts his head at the nibbling that borders between pleasurable and ticklish but he doesn't try and stop it. Which probably just encourages it. He brushes his free hand along the other's back slowly. ]

[Ronan hums thoughtfully, a sound that vibrates against Adam's skin.]
We already have Petra, and you don't seem like a dog person. I wonder what else...
no subject
I don't know. I never had a pet. Don't know what kind of animal person I am. I like Petra but...not really mine. Or ours for that matter.

[Still, a cat feels too ordinary for someone as divine as Adam. Ronan shuts his eyes as he considers the problem, his mouth pressing lazy kisses to Adam's throat.]

His touch strokes along his back over his shoulder, squeezing gently. ]
You've really given me enough.
no subject
Even if I spent every last minute of my life dreaming, I still couldn't give you enough. And all I want to do is try anyway.
[He grazes Adam's lips with his own.]
Let me spoil you rotten.
no subject
All I need is you, you know. But it's not like I can stop you from being ridiculous at this point.

[Ronan smiles and ducks away, rolling onto his side and wrapping his limbs around Adam in a loose hold. He's getting ready to dream again, an idea forming more clearly in his mind. The towel has slipped free from his waist and he leaves it draping halfway off him.]
no subject
Love you. [ It's murmured soft and given he knows what the other is about to do but he still doesn't move, wanting to lay with him while he dreams. They're not very good at sleeping together because adam doesn't sleep and Ronan's sleep is something more. ]
no subject
Ronan shuts his eyes and nestles against Adam's shoulder.]
Love you.
[Within a minute or two, he's asleep.]

The rhythm of Ronan's breath helps him stay relaxed enough that his thoughts don't race. ]

The lamb hops once and finds itself blocked by Ronan's overly large body. It skitters to the foot of the bed, then, and hops again. This time it lands on the mattress and hops a few more times around the piled blankets.]
no subject
Adam watches the lamb a bit wide eyed as it makes it's attempts to get on the bed, and then he laughs when it lands on the bed, hopping...and being far too cute Adam is very clearly instantly enamoured with the creature. ]
Jesus Christ, Lynch.

It's so fucking cute... And perfect. He never would've thought of it but now that he's staring at the lamb it feels right. He hesitantly reaches out to pet its head, the smile widening again.]
Hey you. Jealous of the attention?
no subject
So, yeah, Ronan knew what he was doing.
He stirs now, batting his lashes before opening his eyes a sliver to watch Adam with the lamb. His lips twitch into a groggy little smile. Adam looks so happy, and that happiness is infectious. Ronan's heart aches with it.]
no subject
He looks back at Ronan as his hand brushes over the lamb's side. ]
It's perfect.
