Open || Closed || November Shenanigans
Who: Tarn & OPEN || [Closed] Tarn & Riptide
When: November 1st
Where: around the ship
What: Tarn’s persistent bad mood reaches a boiling point
Warnings:Pissy robots || Gratuitous violence and robot gore
[OPEN]
[The past month has been a Disaster. Tarn can see his alliances dwindling before his very eyes, leaving him with only a scant few associates; only one of which he feels he can truly trust. But, the loss of Soundwave’s friendship has really taken its toll.
It started with depression. A crippling sadness so deep that the only escape Tarn saw was to bow out of consciousness and initiate stasis protocols for nearly a month. Upon awakening, he found that his grief had begun to morph into something more complex and dangerous. Anger began to boil just under the surface, threatening to consume him. It was really only a matter of time until he succumbed to it’s magnetism.
Why bother trying to play nice if nothing you do matters?
Tarn can be found prowling the corridors of Moira, desperate for something to destroy. His temper will be clear to anyone unfortunate to cross his path]
[CLOSED]
[Tarn has been stewing ever since he discovered where Ravage’s corpse had come from. Of course Riptide had something to do with it. How very like that wretched Autobot to seek to destroy what little of a life Tarn has built for himself here.
Deciding that they were in dire need of having a bit of a heart to heart, Tarn sets out to track down the Autobot. He scours the ship, searching all of the usual cybertronian hangouts with little luck. Systematically, he hunts through the Moira leaving no cybertronian sized corridor or room untouched. It’s only by mere happenstance that he catches a glimpse of his familiar frame, seemingly in a rush to get somewhere. There mere sight of him sends a fresh wave of rage through his frame.
Fists clench at his sides as he stalks up behind Riptide.]
Where are you off to in such a hurry? Have you more lives to destroy?

Where are you off to in such a hurry? Have you more lives to destroy?
shakes maracas
That's pretty ironic, coming from you.

You've done this to yourself, Riptide. I was adjusting. I was just beginning to find my place here in this disaster of a ship. I had started to cope.
And then you ruined it! You and your wretched Autobot compatriots... Does it really nettle you so much that perhaps I wasn't completely forsaken by everyone on this ship?
[The crack of madness in Tarn's demeanor opens into a full on canyon. Riptide should be familiar enough with this side of the DJD commander to know that danger is imminent.]

[tarn's claws dig into riptide's armour and he squeaks, bringing a foot up to try and kick tarn away.]
Look, just-- tell me what you think I did. We don't have to fight about this!
no subject
His claws only sink deeper, hooking down into the gaps between armor plates]
As if you don't already know; you don't wear a coy attitude well at all. I understand that you hate me, and I assure you that the feeling is more than mutual, but I don't understand why you've decided to conjure half of Ravage's corpse. Have you truly sunken so low that you're so desperate to ruin anything of a friendship that I might have managed to build for myself? Does the thought really disgust you so much that you have to find a way to ruin it?
I'm not sure how you executed that illusion or how you managed to get such suspiciously pristine paint transfers from me, but congratulations! Your vile little plan was a huge success.
[Tarn draws back his fist, punching Riptide square in the jaw.]
no subject
[he's cut off by the fist, yelping as a splatter of energon is knocked free of his mouth. the pure terror of being attacked by tarn again makes his already poopy spark contract painfully.]
Tarn! Listen to me!
no subject
What excuse could you possibly have for yourself? Please, by all means, im dying to know.
no subject
Never... planned anything. No use in hurting you further...
no subject
Such boldfaced lies. You hate me, how could you possibly deny wanting to see me suffer?
What other reasoning could you have to bring me so low? Who will you turn against me next? All I have left is Tailgate, why don't you just take him too?
[Tarn aims a solid kick to Riptide's face. If it connects, it will be powerful enough to shatter his nose and optic.]
no subject
No! I'm not-- I don't get anything out of this! You're wrong!

That general area happened to be near the cargobay in this case, but Drift had pretty quickly decided that whatever he'd intended to look for could wait. Absolutely not in any mood for confrontation, Drift turned on his heel and started heading right back in the direction he'd come from. Even if Tarn had been "behaving" lately, he was still the last person Drift wanted to be around.]
no subject
He wanted to Autobot to know just what they've wrought by causing him this torment.]
My, my, running are we? It certainly has been a while; I wonder what could possibly have you in such a flighty mood.
no subject
I highly doubt you just want to chat and catch up. We have a pretty good thing going, You know. I don't bother you, you don't murder me, it's working out pretty well. I think we should stick to it.
no subject
[Tarn sidles up to Drift, trying to corner him against the wall of the corridor.]
no subject
That's far enough. I didn't come here looking for trouble.
no subject
So clever. But really, Drift. The Autobots have been nothing but trouble as of lately. Stirring all sorts of schemes and plots.
Surely expected trouble to come knocking eventually.
no subject
If anyone's been doing any scheming or plotting, I haven't seen it. Either way, it sounds to me like you're just getting paranoid.
no subject
Grabbing the blade of the sword, he tries to twist it from Drift's grip as he lunges forward in attempt to knock him off balance. Tarn ignores the sting of pain and the energon dripping from his clenched fist.]
Paranoia has nothing to do with it. I know what Riptide's done.

for Ratchet [closed]
Despite having dealt Riptide a beating fit for his crime, Tarns anger hasn't diminished. Loneliness and abandonment nag at his already corrupted mind and as the days pass he finds himself needing more. The retribution that he'd taken is no longer enough.
Tarn can't kill him. He's decided that long ago. Riptide would only come back through this ship's science. It would be too simple, and Tarn is nothing if not creative.
He heads to the medibay with his mind made up. What better way to ruin someone that hurt those they love. It isn't as if Ratchet's hands are completely clean of this machination. If fact Tarn wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the masterminds.]
[There is no doubt of Tarns mood as he stalks into the medibay, optics fixed on Riptide.]
OH BOY OH BOY!!!
Tarn. [His voice is ten miles of solid permafrost.] Get out.
no subject
[Tarn barely turns his head to acknowledge Ratchet's presence. He remains still, hovering beside Riptide's medical slab. There's a strange quality to Tarn's demeanor. Different somehow. Gone is any play at civility or charm, replaced entirely with something cold and flat and devoid of mercy.
He allows Ratchet to draw close enough before he spins and lashes out, a heavy fist aiming for the medic's helm.]
no subject
Nice to see you too. [His voice is rough with static, his claws flexing.] I heard you talked to Soundwave.
no subject
I suppose that congratulations are in order. After all, your plan was a massive success. Do you feel bigger knowing that I've been alienated from my closest ally?
[Tarn moves in for another hit when the sight of Ratchet's claws stop him dead in his tracks. They are achingly familiar.]
What are those.
[His tone is like ice.]
no subject
[Ratchet straightens, his chin lifting.]
You took each end of him and ripped him apart. Your paint transfer on his body, dents the size of your hands. Speaking of which...
[He spreads his claws, his shoulders lifting in a shrug.]
You threatened to hurt my crew when I couldn't work. I needed replacements.
no subject
What point could it possibly serve? Clearly you need to take any shred of happiness that I might have found for myself.
[Tarn's optics lock on those claws. The mere sight of them makes something sick crawl under his plating. He tries to grab Ratchet by the wrist to pull him forward, determined to look past it.]
Those are rather poor excuses for replacements are they not? Certainly a step down from forged hands.
no subject
I made some upgrades. And, you still did it. You will do it. It's not my fault it took killing one of Soundwave's best friends for him to see you for what you really are--you're a parasite, stupid and selfish and cruel, and you don't give a damn about him, the Decepticon cause, or anybody but yourself.
