[open] girls just want to have fun
Who: The ladies of the Moira!
When: January 12
Where: Partying in Avelle and relaxation times at the Moira bar
What: Girls' night!
Warnings: None so far
[The itinerary is simple: go out to Avelle for dinner (and drinks and maybe dancing if that's your thing) and then retire to the Moira for girly stuff. Since there's not really anything akin to a common room, that corner of the mess hall by the bar will have to do. Wanda's brought nail polish and a few spa supplies - masks, hair stuff, but nothing too terribly out there.
Hope you weren't planning on getting any sleep tonight.]
((ooc: this is an open mingle log, so feel free to post your own top levels and get creative with the settings))

This is nice, almost normal. We could be home if the music was different. [Some of these songs are such saccharine pop that it's a wonder anyone could like them. Oh well, at least the drinks are good.]
I hope this will help after everything that's happened.

[She's from Asgard, where all the music is horns and brass, and dancing isn't particularly something the gods engage in in Odin's halls. But since her rebirth, she's grown fascinated with some things, and music is one of them.
The saccharine pop is a little too sweet for Loki's taste, though.]
But it's certainly relaxing. A bright spot, before things inevitably go wrong again.
[She's learnt to appreciate those, too.]

None of that, not tonight. I made sure there was nothing worse here than bad music and people staring.
So what is normal for you? [She has a weakness for fairytales and the fantastic - there's definitely a reason Wanda ended up with all the mental powers.]

I apologise.
[She thinks about that one for a moment.]
Asgardian parties tend to be feasts. Large plates of whole fire-charred animal, copious booze, not really much else. Eating, drinking, brawling- and in my brother's case, usually some amount of wenching on the side. You've met some version of my brother, presumably?

She can picture it, can supplement it with the few flashes she saw of Asgard in Thor's mind - unfortunately she was somewhere between too in a hurry and too distracted by the people and the clothes to focus on the architecture. She remembers it was very golden, very bright.]
It must be beautiful, but I don't think Emiri could handle it. [And especially not this club, not when half of the columns are actually aquariums with space-fish, bubbles, and lights. Pretty, but a good percentage of the Moirans could probably break one with a sneeze.]
I've met the Thor from home. He dreamed of Hel and filled it with dancers. [Wanda sighs. That's what she gets for leaving the scenery details to the imagination...unless it isn't actually as scary as she thought it should be.]

[She sketches in mid-air, a quick squiggle of glowing green hanging in midair before it expands slightly, a photograph-sized illusion of Asgard from the outside, a fortress city of white walls and red roofs. She zooms in, through the streets and buildings, into one of the drinking halls- firelit and rough tables and food everywhere, Thor and the Warriors Three sat together drinking, Sif nearby. It's an outsider's view, Loki's view from before, but it's the best way she has to illustrate it.]
Mmm. Thor never changes all that much. Thoughtless and reckless and endlessly trusting- even when it makes no sense at all. But... yes, Hel is reckoned a nightmare for us. Where the cowards go when they die, cold and barren and not terribly pleasant.

Even this is different. [Less golden, somehow less alien to someone who grew up in the shadows of a white castle despite the scale. It's still a little jarring to see the differences between the two worlds so obviously displayed. Thor, at least, is unmistakable - he really doesn't change.]
We would definitely be thrown out if anyone tried to do that here. If there was anything left of the building.
[She shifts uncomfortably when Loki explains Hel, tries to hide it with taking another drink. And here Wanda thought she'd pulled her punches...whoops. Better change the subject - the 'no bad thoughts' rule applies to her, too.]
So what were you doing in an Earth club?
no subject
[...Mostly because of Loki, honestly, and for a moment she looks distant and perhaps a little guilty. For a moment, the illusion changes, flickering between a world of ash, rubble, dead time and stark bare trees and an odd futuristic-ancient city, before Loki crushes the picture between both hands.]
Bar brawls are not a fun sport, no.
[No matter what her brother might have thought. She smiles, though, looking almost enthusiastic, for once the teenager her physical form suggests.]
The first time? Exploring, mostly. Midgard is fascinating, sometimes. So much technology and so many different people. Asgardians change little, but Midgard- things change all the time.

this wasn't supposed to be a meeting of the 'it's my fault my home was destroyed' club]We have to. We can't snap our fingers and make things happen, not usually. So we have phones and cars and fish in the columns. [She's being facetious on the last bit, unable to decide if it's incredibly tacky or really cool. Life's short, add space-fish? Oh, Emiri...
The song changes and this one is even worse. What happened to the decent stuff they'd been playing when Wanda had gone scouting yesterday? Does it still count as abusing her powers if she's doing stuff to save their ears?]
And very bad music.

[Like, getting yourself killed to do so hard. She smiles, though, because ruining Wanda's evening wasn't part of the plan, and she rather likes Wanda enough to not want to mess things up for her.]
The fish in the columns are certainly an interesting touch. Hard to keep pretty though, I'd have thought. The music...
[She's voluntarily listened to One Direction, and this is way worse.]
...it's a little sickly. I'd ask if anyone really ever felt that way about anyone, but- I suppose I know one or two people that do.
