Open - in your subconscious
Who: Pharah and open
When: October
Where: Aboard the Moira
What: Dreamscapes and Waking Nightmares
Warnings:
N/A will add as necessary
Dream walking
Do you sleep?
Do you dream?
If so, you might have a visitor tonight. On top of her physical changes, wherein she is now as blue add her armor and also accented in gold, Pharah has found herself the recipient of some very interesting powers; dream walking. But as someone who hasn't grown up with them, or had any amount of training with them, they're a little out of control. If she had her say, she would stay out of people's heads, but as it is she finds herself - night after night - stumbling into other dreams, other nightmares. Mostly, she just watches, unable to leave, but if she encounters some nightmares? She will try to nudge them back into something happier (even if it means forgetting what transpired that night).
Sleep walking
Because her nights are now spent wandering through the nether sphere of people's subconscious, Pharah's daytime has become something of a struggle. Especially after those nights where she's pushed influence on a dream, she is exhausted when she wakes up and likely to be found dozing anywhere on the ship. In the mess hall, on the observation deck, working out in the cargo bay; anywhere she might pause for a couple moments too shut her eyes she risks giving in to a quick nap.

It sounds awful. Lúcio gives Pharah's shoulder a sympathetic squeeze.

"No, I don't. I feel there are some elements I could change but I don't have the experience to know how."
She felt like she was whining, since really - if a little sleep deprivation was all she had to deal with, it wasn't really that bad. She could have ended up a wolf, or floating pumpkin head, our any of the other dubious beings she had seen about the ship.
She reaches up to pat Lúcio's hand, thankful for the support. "I will manage. And what of you? How gave your new eyelids thrown your world upside down?"

He shuffles slightly to get a little more comfortable. This is happening they're gonna cuddle it's happening bro
"When did it start? Maybe see if anyone else is having the same problem?"
no subject
"With the transformation. I haven't talked to anyone else with the same ... ailment? Species?" Pharah sighs and shakes her head. "I've mostly been keeping to myself."

Thane is lovely, honestly. Lúcio leans back at the glance, worried he might have overstepped a boundary. Or maybe it's just thre frog thing.
no subject
"Looks like they'd be good for swimming. Do they effect your music much?"

She wondered what it would be like to experience the world as it was meant for each of these species, what were the Maleficus like? And Lúcio's deserts? Would 76 be more comfortable in woods filled with fellow wolf-people?
"What have you been up to?"
no subject
"Just trying to learn how to use my new body, really. Have you seen anyone else that's changed?"
no subject
She thinks about telling him about Reaper, but decides against it. That would mean admitting she'd been bested by him once again, and she doesn't want him to worry.
"Who have you met? I don't count."
no subject
Lúcio hums thoughtfully.
"I might see if I can find Reinhardt or Zenyatta. I haven't heard from them and I'm not sure if they're okay or not."
no subject
She felt she knew something about Reinhardt, but she couldn't quite place it. Zenyatta, well ... he was new. From their world, yes, but like Lúcio she hadn't met him until she had fallen through the Ingress.
"What do you know of Zenyatta? Did you know him previously?"
no subject
A pause, while he re-arranges his position slightly.
"Also, I'm not asking you for nothin' until I know you've had a decent night's sleep."
no subject
She frowns slightly at Lúcio's next comment; she couldn't say he was wrong. She wasn't any good to anyone if she were sleep deprived. She looks to the side, setting her elbow on the table and proping her head in her hand. "I can't say I blame you ... but I don't know when that will be."

His offer catches her off guard, since it would definitely be putting her in a vulnerable position, but then again Lúcio helped save her life when he didn't know her at all, and here he is - extra eyelid and all - with a blanket. She could trust him.
Pharah lets out a breath she hadn't known she was holding in and nods. "That sounds like a good idea."
no subject
At least she's not like that.
"You and me both, captain," he says, settling down again. "You and me both."
no subject
She'd been trying not to doze off. Trying and, of course, failing, but doing so in public was not a decision she wanted to make.
no subject
"For sure. Where do you want to go?"
no subject
"My room, perhaps? We can lock the door, and then not have to worry about anyone." Sudden thought of her mother walking in on something like that, getting all the wrong ideas. It was just about as terrifying as the thought of Reaper.
no subject
"Sure. I won't tell anyone." An awkward pause, then, "Lead the way."
no subject
Pharah stands and folds the blanket, carrying it skiing over her arm. It isawkward. Maybe there's even awkward small talk. But the fact if the matter was she was tired, and the idea of getting to hang out in a chill dream was appealing.
Eventually they get to her room and she lets them in, closing and locking the door behind her.
"Well, this is it."
She may not have kept up with bounce a quarter off the bed-sheets of her military days, but she's kept her area clean and orderly. Her armor is carefully stacked up in the corner, the right jump jet showing signs of recent damage.
no subject
"It's nice!" he says, electing to not point out the armour jump jet damage. He can't tell if it's recent or not, anyway. "About the same as mine, minus the screaming roomie."
