TRAINING DAY
Who: Commander Shepard and ★YOU!★
When: Between take-off from shitty-party-planet and arrival at the Mini-Colony.
Where: The Training Simulation Room!
What: Losing another year without warning is tough, and Shep isn't interested in sitting around any longer.
Warnings: Faces might get punched — expect a bit of violence, even if it is just in good fun!
I'm here. Come straight in when you arrive.
[Text sent, Shep lets her MID hand drop to her side as she continues programming the scenario into the training room's machine. Rather than a volcano, or an alien world, it's just... a room. Four solid matte metal walls, with enough breadth and height to really move around in, if you wanted to.
And they were going to want to, weren't they? This little rematch had been a long time coming. Not out of malice, or revenge, or anything so gauche — if anything, it felt more like a check in. Was Shepard's one-hit KO all that time ago a lucky shot? How did they stack up, when things were matched a little more evenly?
Besides, she wanted that model ship back.]
[It had taken some doing to get J to acquiesce to stop by the training sim room. There'd been humorous deflection, multiple brush-offs, but some time after J's release from the med bay, the long-suffering bartender had finally given in.
"Just the two of us. We'll have a few hours, you can see what works best for you, and we'll go from there."
That J had actually shown up at all was a testament to their relationship. Beaming with satisfaction, Shepard passes over a small towel and a bottle of water.]
In case of rigorous physical activity. [Sweat. After all, who knew what 'rigorous' meant for J? It was better to just be prepared.]
[It's late afternoon when Shep shows up for a little private training of her own. Mind elsewhere, considering a few different simulation scenarios to check her scores, vitals, and accuracy overall, she hardly registers the other person in the room until she's already inside.]
Sorry — didn't realize someone was already in here.
[She turns to leave, when she actually registers who it is.]
Wait... Jesse, right?
Wouldn't've pictured you doing sim training. [Dem smoker's lungs :V]
[At least it wasn't just her, this time.
Everyone on board had lost a a chunk of time — an irreversible, frustrating ordeal. Spared excess muscle deprecation thanks to a combination of cybernetics, bone and muscle weaves, and extremely silly dancing, Shepard wasn't about to sit alone on her good luck.
She'd sent a general message to everyone's MIDboxes, a quick explanation of the class (basic stuff: stretches, cardio, a few strength-building exercises using your own body weight.) and the times she would run the sessions. For the simulation scenario itself, she programmed in an easy-going space: an open, late-spring track-and-field area, with real grass, and a slight breeze. There was even flowers in the field.
After all, working out was always more fun in a group, right?]
Glad everyone could make it. Since this is our first session, let's start easy with a couple stretches, and some breathing, just to get the body warmed up.
(OOC: Feel free to tag from whatever part of the workout you like! Think some simple breathing and stretching, jogging the track, then things like planks, abdominal workouts, burpees, jumping jacks... is your character slacking off? Not following along? Eating a daisy? Sleeping??? I'll hit you back with whatever you choose! Threadhopping encouraged!)
[Exactly the same as above, except when your character got Shep's message, they specifically requested, for whatever reason, a private, 1-on-1 workout session. Maybe they're embarrassed about how they literally cannot even do one situp anymore. Maybe they just want private time with the coach. Whatever the situation, she's acquiesced, and when your character enters the sim room, they find her standing in the same sunny, breezy field, waiting for you.]
