Peter is in no way ready to say he forgives Charles, not yet. He can be stubborn when he wants to be, and petty. Now is one of those times. But he does acknowledge that Charles is trying to disarm his anger and sometime later, when there's been more time to think and Jean's had more to yell at him about the Professor they'll know in the future, it will matter more to Peter. He nods, tight and slow.
