( open ) let's dance
Who: the teen population of the Moira
When: at some point after arriving at the Luminous Sea, late afternoon/evening
Where: recreation area
What: a very 80's party thrown by Peter
takeitslow! Is your character currently a teenager? If yes, then assume they have somehow magically gotten an invitation and come party with us!
Warnings: none for the moment, will change if necessary

So maybe there's a lot of young people suddenly around the Moira. The best way to deal with it is obviously by throwing a party. Because adults are boring people who can't have fun and how can you not go wild at a party with a disco ball?
The rec area has been decorated just a bit for the occasion: there's a few tables with quick snacks, sweets and drinks, and 80's music playing from some strategically placed speakers. A good portion of the area is unimpeded so people can dance, and there are balloons of different colors a little bit all over.
The pool's decorated with tiny glitter confetti too, so it gives off a very glow-y vibe. Probably not a good idea to jump in but hey, you do you.
People are free to start up their own activities during the party, be it games like Spin the Bottle or Never Have I Ever, or something like attempting synchronized dancing. Seriously, go wild! (Not too wild, though. Just because there are no parents around doesn't mean you all should do whatever the hell you want.Yes it does.)
(Everyone feel free to put up specific starters for your characters, or for 'group' activities, go ahead and put up a top level so that everyone who wants to can jump in!)

Oddly enough, that hasn't stopped anyone over the past few days. And he's definitely not complaining about having people his age who actually like and want to spend time around him, and don't just shun him from their social circle. ]
It's not so bad. We're not too many.
[ Bruce would know, because if they were, he'd likely be fighting off a minor anxiety attack right now. ]
You're not having fun?
no subject
He's not exactly impressed. But he also just got here, so maybe that'll change.]
I... I can't say, really.
[Because fun? What's that.]
I feel like I should do something. Perhaps a glass of water.
no subject
It's not for everyone, either. That's the thing with parties. Bruce, for one, hasn't minded it as much as he thought he would. ]
Mostly there's juice here, but there's plain water too, if you're just thirsty? [ Not sure that counts as doing something, but. ]
no subject
Juice will be fine. Where is it located?
[He notices Bruce's cup and decides to add:]
And would you care for a refill?
no subject
[ Once Venom walks towards it, he'll go along, since he offered him a refill. ]
What's your name, by the way?
no subject
Venom. What's yours?
[He casually starts pouring the juice as he looks over the snacks, seeing if anything catches his eye. Maybe a cookie or two since he hasn't eaten any in years.]
no subject
I'm Bruce. Got here a week or so ago. [ He reaches over and accepts the cup once Venom hands it to him, smiling. ] Thanks.
no subject
[He sips his juice, quietly enjoying the company.]
So you're new to the ship, as well? I recently came aboard, myself.
[Why he was brought on was still a mystery. Perhaps it had to do with Guild training, though he still had yet to spot any of the elders or Lord Zato himself. Just the teenagers and that grumpy man who teleported into the library.]
no subject
[ It's plenty obvious from that statement that Bruce doesn't necessarily believe it. It's too weird, too many inconsistencies— not that it makes much of a difference anyway, but he doesn't think his older counterpart ever left. He thinks something else happened here.
In fact he's been formulating some theories about that already. It's his job after all, isn't it? Doesn't change just because he's a teenager now. ]
no subject
[He figures the adults have been there a while as new, fresh faces are brought aboard now and then. Who knows how long they'll be here, and that worries (and vaguely delights) the young assassin.]
no subject
[ He pauses, considering whether or not to go into this. But he started it, so. ]
I think we've been here all along. We just... You know how we've been having this weird thing where you keep ending up in completely random places of the ship? From what I've gathered so far, that's an effect of the Luminous Sea, this... this kind of energy floating outside the ship. I think that whatever this spot in this system did, it's causing these random switches in locations, but also within our own timelines. Some getting older, others getting younger... and here we are.
no subject
It's a curious theory to say the least. It would explain the sudden teleportation, though I admit I thought the people on this ship were practicing with their respective magic.
[Teleporting is hard, okay?]
no subject
[ He shrugs, looking into his cup but not taking a sip. ] No, it's... I can't say it's all science, but there's definitely some scientific phenomenon going on here. The celestial body we're close to right now is affecting the ship and the crew. I imagine things will only go back to normal once we move away from the Luminous Sea, and even then...
[ People turning into their younger selves might be an irreversible change. ]
no subject
Bruce's theory has the boy thinking about them leaving the Sea and returning to normal, so to speak.]
Do you think something else might happen to us? That it might not go back to normal?
no subject
Hey, at the very least he's not saying he doesn't believe it, so that's a start. ]
We could just get stuck like this, even if we were supposedly older before. We could just age physically or mentally, but not both. I don't know, really, it's... Nothing's certain, and I have no other experiences to draw comparisons.
no subject
As much as he'd like to return home and to Lord Zato, he's not torn up by the idea of being here for a while.]
In other words, we take it as it comes, basically.
[Not a great way to live, but he's been trained to adapt as necessary. Not to mention the company is rather nice.]
no subject
Pretty much, yes. There's not much else we can do anyway, at least not for now.
[ He looks over the people at the party, shrugging a little. ]
It could be worse, I guess. Things aren't so bad here.
no subject
He hopes so, because he doesn't want to forget any of this.]
They're really not. It's still a bit loud, but I believe I'll manage.
[He may or may not be smiling here. It's super tiny.]
no subject
For now? He's feeling pretty alright about things. ]
People keep saying. [ He smiles, though, amused more than anything. ] I'll remember to set up the music a little lower next time.
no subject
[He feels like he should do something to show his appreciation, but instead he just goes for another glass of juice. Venom still feels a touch out of place, but it's better than before.
At least here he doesn't have any targets or assignments.]
If we do have another gathering, I'll be sure to attend.
no subject
[ Provided he's still here. In any case, it's kind of nice to think that there are people here who may have just dragged him to another of these parties if he were to say he didn't want to come. Having friends for a change feels incredibly nice. ]
