[ miles has to lie to at least half the people in his life about who he is or what he does for a living -- a regular necessity, but that doesn't mean miles doesn't hear the faint echo of a door closing whenever someone gets added to that count. miles smiles lopsidedly in some kind of weak assurance. it'd be nice to be that honest with clark, considering his secrets... not the same as being covert ops, exactly, but he depends just as much on keeping his secrets. maybe one day when i'm not going crazy just trying to keep minestraight.
