Who: Venom and YOU
When: Mid-August
Where: Throughout the Moira (rec room, garden, medbay)
What: Just a guard/window washer getting more familiar with his surroundings

A. Rec Room
[This job isn't as bad as he thought. Granted, it's still rather tedious, but it does allow Venom to go out in space now and then. Like an astronaut, but with cleaning duties. After finishing a set of windows, it's time to back inside.
Once he's somewhat freshened up, Venom returns to his self-imposed mission: learn every spot on this ship. Other than his shared suite, there's the deck, medbay, and library. Oh, and he cannot forget the hidden bar. The bar without a table...
He's been unable to train since his arrival, and it's making him restless. And his cue is still hidden under his mattress. Who knows if and/or when the new captains will try another sweep.
Right when he's thinking of more ways to keep his cue safe, he finds a recreational center. It has a small assortment, but alas, no table.
However, it does have other things to keep him occupied, including a pool with a gorgeous view. Intrigued, Venom prepares himself for a dip.]
B. Garden
[He's not been impressed by any of the technology on the ship. It's mostly sterile, electric, and the utter lack of magic concerns him. So it's to his pleasant surprise that a garden even exists on the spaceship. He's already calmed by the presence of plants, and he has the sudden urge to find a way to plant roses.
Venom strolls through and examines the hanging ones, quietly reminded of Lord Zato and how he taught their meanings. The assassin's calmed even further by that, even though the uncertainty remains present.]

C. Medbay - Closed to Medical Staff
[Shortly after his initial arrival, Venom encountered a bizarre ghostlike creature. It attacked before he got a good look at it, leaving a strange mark on his arm. Several days later, the bite itself is healed, but the teethmarks are still there. Worse, they're still GLOWING. He wraps it every night and apologizes to his roommates in case the glow keeps them awake.
He's fed up with it, so he decides to get it looked at.]
If you're not busy, may I please have a moment of your time?

When he notices the distinct lack of medbay gold, though, his eyes narrow, scrutinizing the man and his intentions even further as he swivels in his chair, closing out of the notes on his MID to offer the man his full attention. ]
The hell do you want? [ He gruffs, leaving Venom's manners unrequinted. ]

He straightens and huffs, allowing the eye in his hair to stare down the man.]
Your hostility is unnecessary. I only wish for you to look at an injury I endured when I first arrived. Is that all right?

Another gruff sound escapes him, ]
Long as it's not some little bump you got from walkin' 'round in the dark, sure. [ Not like he can ethically or morally turn a patient away. He stretches an arm out, motioning to one of the open beds as he pulls himself out of the chair. ] Go sit down.

[Venom's never been fond of intimidation, even though he was guilty of it when he first became the Guild's leader. But he's unable to tolerate rudeness like that. He demands some level of respect, and he will gladly return it.
He sits down on the bed.]
It's not a little bump, I assure you. I was bitten by a creature shortly after I came here, and while it has since healed, its bitemark is still present. Like a scar, only it glows.

What kind of creature? [ He asks, because it doesn't sound like anything he's come across. Something that could conjure luminescence through contact with the skin, or through its saliva or venom. He's not ruling anything out. McCoy draws a slow glance down the man's form, the corner of his lips twisting in contemplation. ]
Let me have a look at it. [ The doctor adds, turning away for a moment to toss the privacy curtain around them, for Venom's comfort. ]

[He watches the doctor pull the curtain around them. The privacy isn't necessary as Venom feels little shame with his body, but it's appreciated nonetheless.
Soon, the uniform top and under layer is off, and Venom's toned frame is revealed. On his right arm, there's a small but noticeable set of teeth marks that glow a soft white.]

Where did you see it? [ He asks, trying not to get his hopes up. It might not even be aboard the ship anymore for all he knows, having died or disappeared. Venom's the only that's come in with this sort of scar.
The doctor stares down at it and reaches out, his thumb caressing over the bite marks then lifting it back up to check for any residue. There isn't any. He frowns down at the man and turns the scanner on. ]

The ship was pitch black, so I can't remember the location. They were the only things lighting the place.
[There doesn't seem to be any pain when the doctor touches the mark, so who knows why it's still present. Venom watches and waits for any prognosis when the other turns on the scanner. His general mistrust of non-magic machinery is apparent when he sort of cringes.]

They? You mean there was there more than one? [ Oh, hell. If that's true, he's going to have to get a hold of the defense team stat, let them know they've got a potential infestation problem on their hands. He raises the scanner toward the glowing mark, his earlier inquiry vocalizing now that it feels more pertinent, ]

[He blinks down at the scanner, wondering how the doctor is powering it without magic.]
Not that I've heard. If they have, they're hiding their wounds better than I.

[But the ship is also cooler, and he doesn't know what shape the pool will be in. He's from the Balkans which are cool most of the time, and the Mediterranean where he sailed as a smuggler certainly had its cold patches in places. But that doesn't mean he always wants to fridge his balls off just for a little practice.]
[He comes in just in time to see the guy getting ready for said dip.]
Hey, sorry. Was just coming in to see if the water is decent.
OOC: I was dumb on plurk and forgot that the pool table is in the lounge and not the rec area. Would you want him to find that out?

[He says as he dips a foot in. Not ice cold, but not super warm, either.]

[Niko sits down by the edge of the pool and starts unlacing his boots, items obviously not uniform issue.]
I'll try to stay out of your way, man. Just figure it is a good idea to keep in practice.
[He wants to ask if his hair is dyed or if he's some alien whose hair just does that, because it's fully plausible on this ship. But you know what? He'll just leave it alone for now.]

[He goes ahead and lowers himself into the water full on, pulling up only to slick all that hair back. It's the only way to keep it out of his face since there's so much of it.]
I normally don't swim, but I couldn't find another place to train.
Sorry the recent plot tied me up.
[He tosses one boot over to the side with a heavy thud, and then crosses his legs to go at the other. All casual slouch and easy posture, no presentation or class to him.]

[For now he sticks his feet in the water and leans his elbows on his knees.]

[Well now he feels silly. But he might as well enjoy the rest of his swimming regimen. He plans on returning here, once he's developed a proper schedule, of course.
The question is a bit more difficult to answer. Had it been a few weeks ago, he would have said something along the lines of being a professional. But after all that's happened, he's not sure anymore. Why does he want to continue training if there's no need for his services here?]

I do make a fair living, yes. It's not something I'd recommend doing full time, however. One must have excellent stamina and focus.
