[OPEN] Take the time to relax!
Who: Genos, Saitama, and anyone that wanders in!
When: Every evening since the heated water became limited.
Where: Mero's "turkish" bathing area
What: Saitama has a cyborg friend that is very warm and makes a lot of steam! And Saitama doesn't turn away anyone that wants a nice steam bath.
Warnings: Potential Nudity
"As expected of sensei," Genos mutters in amusement as the man splashes a bucket of cold water over the cyborg. The water hisses loudly against broiling hot metal, creating a huge burst of steam, filling the room with more relaxing heat. Genos is glowing brightly orange, the energy in his core whirring loudly but seemingly not putting Genos in any distress. "I am glad to be of service, it's very fortunate that my core will not deplete the ship's energy. How is the temperature?"
"It's good, man," Saitama said, watching the steam raise and getting more water ready, "Cold showers really suck."
For anyone used to Mero's bathing area, they will likely run into these two and get a chance to join in and enjoy the relaxing steam and feel a little cleaner. It's gotta be better than a quick cold shower, just like Saitama said. Upon entering the Mero bath area, anyone will be able to find soap and a few buckets to splash over themselves to rinse off, the room filled with hot steam courtesy of the very nude cyborg perched in the middle. Luckily, there's absolutely no genitalia on Genos, and Saitama at least has a towel around his waist... but there's not much stopping anyone else if they don't want to cover up.

Hey.
[The greeting is offered to the both of them as he sits down heavily.]
Not a bad idea. You guys done this before?

no subject
[Boone is pretty much fine with the low power, too.]
Could be a whole lot worse. Probably shouldn't say that, though.
[The last thing he needs is to jinx it.]
no subject
no subject
[He's tired and literally imagining Saitama trying to eat glass. He rests his chin in his hand, elbow propped against his leg, and frowns at him.]
You don't wanna go back?
no subject
I want back, but not through that piece of crap! Probably just zap me out to somewhere worse.
no subject
[They're all just assuming things will be fine when they get to... well, wherever the hell they're going. But what if things don't work out that way? They just keep on running into trouble here, and even the captains don't seem to have any idea what they're doing.]
Might be stuck here for good.
no subject
Maybe I'll find someone out here that's worth a fight. Probably just as likely as back home, for me.
no subject
We're out in the middle of space. Gotta be someone out there.
[And here is Boone not understanding just how strong Saitama is. He's just assuming that someone will come to ruin their day at some point who can put up a decent fight, and that'll be what Saitama is looking for.]
Not like we don't attract enough trouble.
no subject
Right? I swear this place is like a magnet for trouble.
no subject
[Weird. Boone just assumed they'd be glad to find someone who could fight. Of course, he's also under the impression that they were actually fighting, and not just being casually obliterated.]
Figure we're probably in for more trouble soon. Keep expecting to wake up and find the ship's turned over and is on fire or something.
no subject
We're all stuck on this ride, may as well kick back.
no subject
[He can't even get any sleep right now, let alone do anything to relax. He's too goddamn stressed.]
Remember when I first got here, we'd stopped at that resort. Someone told me it probably wasn't gonna last. Don't think anything could've prepared me for what's actually happened, though.

[His voice softens slightly; he's not ungrateful for Saitama's help. He still doesn't feel like he can relax, though. It was bad enough back home, but at least the Mojave was a little more predictable.]
For what it's worth, I'm watching your back too. Still. Not like we're always gonna be around each other when trouble comes calling.
no subject
Eh, tomorrows problem for tomorrows us, huh?
no subject
[It would be a nice way to look at things he supposes, but he just can't do it. He worries too much. And if he isn't worrying about the future, he's dwelling on the past.]
no subject
no subject
[He says it almost quietly, eyes cast downwards for a moment, but then he abruptly changes the subject. It's not Saitama's problem, and he's not about to make it his problem either.]
Too bad money isn't a thing here. People would probably pay you for this kinda thing right now.
[It sure as hell beats rushing in a shower to make sure you don't get blasted by freezing cold water. Boone is pretty sure he physically felt his life shortening by a few years the first time it happened to him.]
no subject
Genos is pretty handy! I can do a cold shower, but it's not relaxing.
no subject
Warm showers aren't exactly relaxing right now, either. More like a goddamn race to get done.
[He used to actually enjoy showering, dammit. It's not like he could do it much back home.]
no subject
no subject
[He's at least pretty sure it wouldn't result in a nice steam room. More like it would get him shot or disintegrated or something.]
no subject
Simple, because Saitama doesn't think too much about the technicalities.]
no subject
[The word is cyborg, Boone.]
I mean, Rex got turned into a cyberdog around 200 years ago. And... we've got robobrains. But those are just robots with human brains. They don't look much like people.
no subject
no subject
[The robobrains may have human brains, but they've been programmed to be hostile. Some of them seem fine with it, but others make it pretty clear they have no choice in the matter. Nothing quite like being apologised to while something tries to kill you.]
no subject
Dr. Kuseno, the genius scientist for justice that gave me my cyborg body, explicitly made sure that none of my cybernetics affect my brain chemistry outside of sensory perceptions and the attachment to my nervous system. He swore to me that he would not let me become like the Mad Cyborg, and he would make certain that I would never have enough installed in my brain for it to be forced upon me through accident or sabotage.
If something truly does go awry, I have a separate control for my core. If I can no longer control my body, I will be able to detonate my core and blast myself to pieces, so that I will never go on a rampage.
no subject
Uh... yeah.
[Nailed it.]
Mad Cyborg?
no subject
The Mad Cyborg slaughtered everyone in my childhood town, including my family. I have sworn revenge on the Mad Cyborg.
no subject
[Boone is no stranger to wanting revenge for his family, so he knows how Genos feels.]
Sorry to hear it. Hope you give that guy what's coming to him. Sounds like the world would be better off without him.
[He hesitates for a moment. He feels like he should say something, but he doesn't want to go into too much detail. Especially not if Genos doesn't particularly want his advice to begin with.]
Might not be my place to say anything. But...
[And now that he's started, he isn't sure of how to word it. His brow furrows as he tries to find words that convey how he's felt before, and his voice softens when he finally continues.]
...Things might not play out the way you think it will. After you take him out, I mean. Once it's done, it's just... over. It doesn't bring anybody back.
[It's something he always knew, deep down, and he's sure Genos knows that too. But somehow, he still didn't expect to feel so empty after actually killing Jeannie May. It felt good for maybe a second, but then she was dead and nothing had changed. He was still angry, still torn up over what she'd done. He grunts, rubbing his hand over his face.]
Sorry. Didn't mean to bring up anything painful.
[For either of them.]
no subject
no subject
[He could try to say something encouraging to follow up on that, but that's something he's really not good at. And quite frankly, he doesn't want to be on this subject any more, so he changes it. It's painfully obvious what he's doing, but in all honesty he's not really trying to hide it either. Sometimes, conversations just need to be brutally manhandled to go in a different direction. Nothing wrong with that.]
Don't think I ever asked what it was like back where you guys are from.
[It's the first subject that pops into his head, but to be fair it is something he's a little curious about. Not just their world, but other worlds in general. Sure, the idea can give him a headache if he starts thinking too hard about it, but just hearing about how other people lived before coming here is kinda interesting.
Well, maybe it's helped by the fact that he actually likes Saitama and Genos. He probably wouldn't care as much if it was someone he didn't know.]
