What: Repercussions of Caducus Primary + New Arrivals + The Unknown

The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and various machines line the walls on either side, though they are not accessible from where you stand. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay.
Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and sign a contract that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters.
MERO DECK ● NOMO DECK ● MORO DECK
☄ Due to the circumstances of Caducus Primary, the captains appear abnormally absent. Unlike before, they will not be seen or heard from after processing the newest members of the crew. They can still be contacted via their MID devices for emergencies only, but otherwise, they have retreated to their rooms and clearly do not want disturbed. They are displeased with the events and will be less accommodating in regards to resources and rank privileges. In fact, they may feel less like a privilege and more like a punishment.

☄DRUM THRUM THUD
Reverberations of what has happened to Caducus Primary are still being felt despite having left the chaos behind. After the initial influx of new crew, there seems to be the occasional flicker of the power all throughout the Moira—like a pulse, a breath. Do the shadows move, or is it just a trick of the light? Several hours pass, and a message flashes across all MIDs. It is labeled urgent and comes directly from Thán; however, any responses will be automatically rejected.
Our ship has sustained minor outer damage, and the systems are fluctuating as they reboot themselves individually. Take care of darker areas, and travel with other crew if you need to leave your room.
Crew safety is severely stressed this month, especially after what's occurred, and anyone in need of medical attention is to report to the Medbay posthaste. Yet, the crew may soon realize it's not only the power that appears to be having issues as the days progress in their travels.

☄IN THE FRIDGE
From the 3rd on, things start to grow a bit chilly. With current power issues, a problem that even those in areas responsible for its function cannot seem to solve, there has been a steady decline of less vital life support systems. It soon grows cold enough that sections of the ship that house any sort of water systems may find them slowly freezing over, and even showers don't seem as warm as they should be. ( Those in Mero Deck may find their communal bathroom a rink. ) In the mess hall, late in the evening after all shifts are finished, several pipes rupture and create particles of ice (snow) and a solid slippery sheet across the entirety of the floor. Melting it may be a temporary solution, but as there is no way to keep the water in its liquid form, it might be inadvisable to try more than once.
Other areas of the ship are also open to exploration, though they may be affected by the power and temperature changes as well. Please advise the captains' warning.

[ Many of the things he's been told so far sound familiar, a basic drum of protocol, and some things he's not so sure he believes. Steve's still a little disoriented from the Ingress, an odd feeling that settles deep in his bones, and by the time he shakes it, he's already sitting in the medbay, physical in progress. He's had so many of these in his life that it's almost second nature, not so much reacting to the woman speaking to him as he is getting a look around. Space... if he doesn't accept the contract, then what? He doesn't like the lack of choice, though it seems he's agreeing more for wanting to explore than much of anything else at the moment. He'll consider the options later, when he's not reeling from the effects of whatever had just happened. Polite, he thanks the person attending him and slides off the bed when she's finished, searching through the clothes they'd given him after completing the paperwork. After they'd given him the...
Steve looks at the MID, turning his hand over and tracing his fingers along the edges of it curiously. It reminds him of what he'd left behind, of his own private mission, and he frowns, grabbing at his undershirt to tug it on.
It's a bit tight, flexing his arms just enough to stretch it without the potential of tearing the material and immediately decides to temporarily forego the different uniform for his own pants. There aren't any shoes, but he's got enough to get himself started, turning around and making an attempt to duck out of the ship's hospital before anyone can stop him--barefoot and all. He's got all of his clothes tucked under one arm and the shield balanced in the other, grip relatively tight on it. The floor's cold, but it's a minor thing, blindly walking until the device on his hand flashes and gives him directions in the form of a text. Not so different from a cell phone, apparently, but it'll take him time to figure it out, distracted by a new screen. Maybe a directory and —
He rounds a corner and barrels right into someone... which might have him retracing his steps to the medbay if they'd collided with him hard enough to be knocked off balance. Or if they happened to have gotten smacked with his shield. ]
elsewhere
[ Steve can be found anywhere on Mero Deck, probably still looking a bit out of place considering his clothes don't exactly fit and generally appearing to Not Be Having a Good TimeTM. If near the mess hall, he'd give a hand to anyone who happens to go slipping right into the room because of the ice. Also up for anything else at any other place too! ]
/literally crashes in here
She brushes her hair out of her eyes, ready to tell whoever that was to watch where they're going, but it dies on her lips when she sees who it is. And all she can do is stare for a second.]
Captain...?
[She's hesitant and confused. He was gone and now he's back, and he didn't know who she was the first time around.]
hey now
Wanda. [ Brief as it is, he gives her a nod and the slightest smile. There doesn't seem to be any lasting damage, though he offers his hand to help her up despite the confusion he reads on her face. Maybe it had been crashing into him that had done it. ] Is anyone else with you?
[ The rest of the team, maybe? He seems hopeful, probably more so than a lot of other people he'd seen so far on this ship. ]
:D
Bruce is still here, Stark is gone. You've been away for over a month. [Concern flickers across her face.] Are you all right?
no subject
I'm fine. [ A pause then, slowly crossing his arms over his chest. That shirt might just stretch a little too tight with the movement. ] I don't remember this place at all. How long have you been here? [ He'll get to his question about the rest of the Avengers being MIA in a second. Probably. And Banner? He'd been completely off the radar last he'd known. ]
no subject
What is the last thing you remember from home? Sometimes we come here from different times. [She really hopes she won't have to try to explain the specifics. No one really understands what's going on with the Ingress.]
no subject
Setup of a new HQ after the mess with Ultron. [ And still on the hunt for his friend, but only a few people actually know about that. ] Was I remembering something else last time I was here? [ It's better if he covers all his bases before moving out of this hallway. ]
no subject
You did not know who I was last time. Neither does Bruce. [She doesn't say it outright but yes, she was basically at Tony Stark's mercy where they were concerned. He could have told them anything, true or not, and even though he did the right thing, it made her super uncomfortable that it could come to his word against hers.
Bruce is, of course, another issue entirely, but Steve hasn't even got any shoes yet - she can't drop that on him until he's a little more settled in. Still...having him here is a major relief. Things just seem a little bit closer to okay when Steve is around.]
I'm sorry you are here, but it is good to see a friendly face.
Mero Deck | Quarters
Hey. You're back.
I think. [Wait, was this first Steve or second Steve? Knowing his luck, neither. So he just rolled onto his back and smeared his hand down his scruffy face.]
no subject
You're not the first person to tell me that. [ Sorry, he doesn't remember a thing. ] How long was I here before? [ It's strange to address the situation in those terms, but the more he knew, the better off he'd be in the long run. ]
no subject
But I have met two yous. So I know you are probably not the same man. Just from a paralell universe. [He says it strangely, thick on his Serbian accent because it's a concept he's just learned in the past year.] Sorry friend, you seem to be one of the universe's favorite people to fuck with. It must be the flag outfit. Is sort of attention grabber.
no subject
I think that was the point when they designed it. [ He pauses. ] I guess introductions are probably out then. But you know me, and I don't know you. The name's Rogers. [ Wait, wait. ] Steve.
[ He'd offer his hand, but Niko looks sort of like he doesn't want to be bothered, so he nods instead. ]
no subject
Sorry if I seem in a bad mood.
Things have happened here. [And there's nothing that pisses him off more than feeling helpless, he doesn't think.] I do not know if they have told you. Is pretty bad.
no subject
There's a lot they haven't told me. [ And a lot they probably wouldn't. ] What happened?
no subject
Something went very long and the planet was destroyed. Only some people made it away.
[He does feel a little guilty. He had suspected the worst of that world. Was convinced of it. But they were fine, if not innocent at least honorable.] Some of the population made it away. [Better than the other world they left.] The captains may not be aware, but much blame is being put on us. We're told that they needed supplies for us so they took too long. I don't know. Maybe it is our fault. We should have made them leave sooner.
no subject
Those in charge should know what's best for the people under them. [ But even in space, it seems that personal opinion doesn't exactly stick. ] Maybe there was a reason they didn't leave right away. Has anyone said anything to them about it?
no subject
[Niko's been in the military and on sailing ships for a long time. He's also worked under hideous criminal bosses. These people seem like neither. Just like they're trying to get by.]
I think they need us to keep this ship. They call it unique, but I do not believe they can manage it alone. So they keep us. That is my best guess.
mess hall
He's not looking forward to walking around the ship again either. He'd spent a little over a week in the cage, and were it up to him, he'd have stayed there longer - but running and hiding from one's problems never really made them go away. He knows the crew at large is still recovering from what happened, he knows most of them blame and even hate him for it, understandably so - that is pretty much how Bruce himself feels. May as well just own up to it.
Luckily, the cold settled in the hallways seems to have sent most everyone retreating to their quarters or whatever little corners they can find, desperate for any semblance of warmth. Nonetheless, he goes in for his Sunday shift, dressed in as many layers as he can manage, a thick blanket fashioned into a kind of cloak-- and slipping on the icy floor the moment he steps into the mess hall.
A hand reaches for him and before he realizes it, he's clinging to the person on reflex, quickly getting back on his feet. His expression of surprise shifts into one of relief when he glances over to the tall man. ]
Steve. [ He draws back, tugging the blanket tighter around himself again, all but fully hiding underneath it. ] You're back. I didn't know.
[ He'll skip on saying it's good to see him, because-- well, they're all stuck here, and right now it's not a very nice place to be. ]
elsewhere! /fucks shit up
He was getting a bit carried away though, a grin on his face as he flings himself haphazardly around corners, packages tucked under his arms and boxes in his hands. It was all going well, until he came around a corner where things got particularly slippy and there was a well built man in front of him.]
Oi, oi, move! [But he didn't say it quick enough... it looked like an unstoppable force was about to meet a, visually speaking, immovable object. Ade couldn't even help the flush of embarrassment that sparked in his head, because the idea of smacking into a wall of muscle shouldn't seem so tempting.]
no subject
You could be a little more careful with that. I'm fairly sure it's classed as a deadly weapon in most countries.
[And maybe he should be more wary around Captain America, but- the last one hadn't recognised him, either. And besides, mostly right now he's indignant about getting hit by a shield when he isn't even doing anything wrong. It was bad enough when he was.]
